Angry Birds Fight!, Fruit Cubes, Nibblers… now this…
I really liked the slingshot games, but it looks like Rovio has gave up on those :-/
Not to mention that every time Rovio has come up with a new game (& hasn’t even released it in the US iTunes Store), it gets discontinued later on. First wit Angry Birds Ace Fighter and then, later on, Angry Birds Football (formerly Angry Birds Goal!). I wish Rovio could at least release these new games in the US so we don’t miss out on discontinued Angry Birds Games!
@furyslinger200 The US is not suitable to be a soft-launch country, in terms of population. Soft-launching is about releasing a game to countries where mobile gaming is popular yet the population is low, and if I remember my geography lectures right, the US has a population of around 300M people, which is WAY too high.
Despite me being extremely sceptical about it, the game seems decent. Sure there are many places for improvement, but so far it has been better than pop, and comparable with candy crush
I understand…
But still, it’s a shame that Rovio soft-launches new games, and they get discontinued before eve being released in the US or Worldwide. :(
I also have to say that it’s a very big shame that Stella’s franchise has been discontinued. If anything, I wish there is a way for Gale, Stella’s Friends, & Handsome Pig to return as playable characters in updates to games like Angry Birds Go!, or be in new future games.
What about Angry Birds 3?Maybe more birds, more power
Angry Birds Football and Ace Fighter wasn’t made by Rovio. It was made by other companies, Rovio only release them

Boring. I really hope they make new slingshot game..
This makes me question the future of Fight…
It was only a matter of time before they made a Candy Crush Saga clone…
CUTE!!!!! when will it come out in the usa?
Really sick and tired of a three-matched puzzle game…
Wasn’t Fight! Isn’t enough?
I have a feeling that this game will discontinue later on in the future, like how they did with Ace Fighter and Football. :/
Rovio is becoming Candy Crush now. I have an idea which may save them, but I think it won’t happen at all. You have to swipe in it.

ANOTHER match 3? What those other 18 million other match 3 games they made didn’t count? They just HAD to make a match 3 with the “Angry Birds” name, didn’t they?
How about you people make less games and focus on them more rather than biting more than you can chew? All you people are doing is introducing them and then cancelling them for random reasons. No worries, I think Evolution and Holiday will be next.
I love these types of games
haters gonna hate
I like these kinda matching games (Angry Birds or not), haven’t really decided if I want to put this one on my iPad.
I miss the original Slingshot formula, it’s what dragged me to become an Angry Birds Fan, but now, Rovio is just creating these milkers and match threes which is honestly getting pretty tiring, I mean its fine to try something new by creating AB Fight but now its getting dull
Not to Mention its suffering from Moviemilking syndrome, heck! it has the Hatchings, which are major milking points due to their cuteness, written all over it, if you are still milking something that has lost any value from before, you have a serious problem
I don’t even have anymore hope to wish after this, My favorite AB Game is AB Stella, and since its been removed from the app store, It made me lose hope for the AB Franchise, AB Stella to me was a great game! It reinvented the traditional AB Slingshotting formula and I love it! New Characters to play around with (oh by the way, Did I forgot to mention that the most popular female Angry Bird was in this game?), Interesting Concept, Great Graphics, and Fun Gameplay, but I guess Rovio doesn’t see the same, and the spin-off, AB Pop? yeah right! they replaced all the new characters with the original ones, and changed some of the gameplay. What about AB 2? thats a slingshot based game! really? Here are my Issues with it:
1. Lives System
– I know this has been talked to death so bare with me, having the lives system is just wrong! it just gives a lazy cash grab by letting you spend money to keep playing and that infuriates me!
2. Strategy elements have been removed
-Remember when i some levels of the original games, you think of where to shoot the birds and when to activate their powers to get the three stars! yeah… thats gone… These elements have been removed by the randomization of the structures of the pigs and the randomization of the birds/cards and you just have to hope that you have the right birds/cards and the right structures to destroy which kills some of the fun for me
3. Not all the birds came back
-This may seem rather nitpicky but this annoys me too as well, there are only 7 birds in this game, one of them is new being Silver and I do have to admit, her backstory is pretty unique, I am annoyed by the fact that she has a similar power to Poppy is AB Stella, the rest being Red, The Blues, Chuck, Bomb, Matilda and Terence. I was hoping for Hal, Bubbles and Stella to be in there as well, but I guess not…
So yeah, I’m still in the AB fandom, but I think I will have to leave due to some of the poor and cheap choices that are being made here, and I really don’t the route that Rovio is taking here and it certainly isn’t the right one either.
Thanks for this comment, you stole the words out of my mouth <3
I seriously agree with like everything you just said.
I totally agree. King has made a fortune on the “Lives” concept and Rovio is following suit. I don’t like AB2, Bad Piggies, Epic, Fight, Go–I actually played Croods and started getting into it until it stalled and died. I hate Mighty League, which they try to force on us by “releasing updates” to ABO only to open it and find out, “oops sorry, you can’t play for a week, buts here’s the Mighty League for you to spend money on tickets.” Ugh! I understand trying new things, but Rovio used to be fun while King just milk you for money. I usually quit playing King games because of that.
I completely agree with you all.
I had tried the new game (Angry Birds Match) on my iPad last night….as much I like matching type games, I didn’t really care much for this one. Kinda like a story and its probably goes until its completed like Angry Birds Action was.
By only watching the first one minute I can say is very similar to the Nibbler’s gameplay.
I actually like it! It’s so cool!
But suddenly, when it’s cool, it’s soft-launched on ios only :-|
Not compatible with my device? I have an iPad 4.
Me too! Same message and I have an iPad 4 as well.
Reminds me of Angry Birds Fight!, Nibblers, oh It’s Cute Too! Your right it’s the cutest angry birds game + I have angry birds evolution!
Lol, more soft launch games who are not gonna be released, why do they keep making the same game over and over btw?
ALSO, STOP WITH THE {Admin Edit} BAD MOVIE DESIGNS
Nobody even likes the hatchlings anymore.
Je ne peu pas jouer à ce jeux angry birds match
@manonchanel, could you please translate this to English? Thank you!
Yep. Just like Nibblers.
I’ve been playing AB Match for a while now.
I wouldn’t compare it to AB fight, or Candy Crush. AB Match is a direct copy of Nibblers with AB movie sprites.
Story is different. Pigs come in to the 8 different worlds, they ransack the place and destroying items which causes the hatchlings to leave. The purpose of the game is to win the items back so that a hatchling joins the map. You need 3 items to unlock one bird and items can be bought playing the levels. By level 30s items becomes ridiculously expensive. It took me nearly 45 levels to finish the 3rd chapter.
The only difference between Nibblers and AB Match that I’ve seen are:
1) No video for a free booster when you lose a life (of course it’s early). The only boosters you can win is if you buy gems (IAP) or unlock a hatchling which gives you a booster or 3 extra moves
2) No tournament (tunament) but it is way too early in development
3)The game is a lot faster moving than Nibblers, which is a lot slower
4) There’s no 3-star system when you clear the level, just the win the level to collect 500/600 coins to purchase the items
5) It is a LOT harder than Nibblers, as the game doesn’t really give you enough moves. I can’t beat level 98 yet
6)There’s no level selection so you can’t repeat the previous level you just did
7) No bosses. Once you clear a chapter, you move on to the next one
Similar to Nibblers
1) Enemies Pigs are similar to lizards in Nibblers (normal pigs = normal lizards, bucket pigs = turtles, pigs with snorkels = mud lizards, tnt pigs = lava lizards that throw tnt balls)
2) Birds = Nibbler characters (Red acts as Angler fish (one direction), Chuck as Nibblers (moves in 4 directions), Bomb as Octo (clears 3 rows/columns))
3) Game objectives are identical to Nibblers (defeat pigs, get a certain number of treats, clear the mud). The only thing unique is to clear the goo which they added in their last update
4) Bomb can be purchased for 27 gems and like in Nibblers you can set him anywhere you want
The one thing I don’t like about it, the rewards, like in most AB games are stingy (unlocking a Hatchling can reward you 3-6 gems, whereas it costs 9 to use a level if you fail it) and the items you have to buy get exponentially expensive, so imagine clearing 30 levels to be awarded only 3 moves or 3 gems.
Sorry guys, I meant Chuck acts as the 4 bitelings :)
How do I clear the level 166 ? Impossible!! Have played it many days now… :(
New junk game again? No. They should stop making new games like this now and keep updating the old ones by adding awesome elements. I really hate when they discontinue after releasing for a short time, which why they released that??.
So I notice I ‘be amassed all these coins in AN Match. What are they used for?
It keeps telling me to update and then when I hit update, it won’t update.
I don’t think Rovio supports this game anymore, but you can try to contact them regarding your issue: https://support.rovio.com/hc/en-us
