Prior to the videos, I have three starred all the levels except level 5. Is is presenting a challenge obtaining 2 stars.
My highest score is 166,992. I am the same way as Green woodpecker, like to 3 Star first prior to using and PUs.
Obtained 3 stars with PUs.
Red high to take out the left and middle pink balloons.
Bomb to the right side, if lucky all pigs will be destroyed.
Yellow and white birds take out the remaining pigs on left side and maybe one on right side.
Fully loaded wingman like mentioned below to take out the lower level.
Still wonder if three stars could be obtained without PUs?
@wrw01 Nice scores without PUs. I still am struggling to 3-star without PUs on all levels, especially Level 5. Argh! It’s tough. When you describe your strat(s), please mention level # and platform: PC or mobile, or mobile emulator on PC. Thanks! Am still attacking these levels without PUs before using PUs :)

Even with P/U’s….Level 5 is a challenge to get the 3 stars!!
Level 5 is tough. currently 8th in my league and still only 1 star.
Not used any PU’s on it yet.
I like to 3 star them all before i use any.
Update; 195K 2 stars. still no PU’s used.
Anyone out there if flingerland got any tips.

I’m glad I’m not the only one struggling on level 5. I thought I was missing something obvious
I think level 5 appeared on last year’s Easter-themed levels. I think I even came up with a (tolerably) repeatable no power-up strategy for it, different from Xangry’s walkthrough. wish I could remember it.
It also looks like Xangry aren’t doing no pu vids anymore either

Level 5 is not for the books but for the birds :) Tough level, even with PUs! Argh.

Level 5 is impossible. I’ve used all my power ups and still nothing. HELP!

I am just under 200k. I begin with Christmas sling and no powerups. I lob my first bird just over the TNT using Christmas sling, hoping the TNT gets hit and lifts the bird into the balloon holding the magic ball (forgot what it is called). If the bridge falls, then I can send the bomb bird over to the pigs on the right side. At this point, I enable some powerups. I can also use the yellow birds with aiming scope and normal power to hit the tough pigs on the right. I lob white birds if needed through the left pigs. I can’t figure out the best way to use Terrance and potion at the end, but I’ve been sending him through the bottom tube of easter eggs and over to the structures on the bottom right.
YAY! 216,539. I used my first bird as I said above. Then I used the bomb to clear the bridge and damage stuff below. Now I started with my first powerup, the aiming scope, to make the yellow birds hit the pigs on the right. Next I turned on super sling, and switched from Christmas sling to Gold sling (the mistake I was making earlier) and smashed through the pigs and stuff on the left. I think I had 154k at this point. Finally I invoked Terrance with aiming potion through the bottom tube.
Try this for Level 5 Tablet I got 260k this way
1-Diamond Sling/Scope Red bird just so it clips the red ligh. should continue over and take out 3 orbs
2- Jingle Sling/KS High arc, black bird to 2nd level on right tower
3- Bone Sling Yellow bird through 3rd level of left tower
4- Jingle Sling- Yellow bird through 2nd level of left tower
5-Stone Sling- White bird directly into the stone pile
6- Last white bird where needed
7- Bone Sling-FLW….Wingman down the slope, should continue to the right.
is bone sling just as good as gold sling? It’s been years since I visited this place for answers.
Yes it is!! Same power, same results!!
I need to check out PC version of #5, but the 2017 version, the grassy areas could/would fall giving a lot more damage to what is below. On my iPad, that isn’t happening for this years version.
I seem to remember dropping the tht by red hitting the grassy area below it and causing openings to get other birds to the right tower.
I can’t find the no PU walkthrough for the 2017 version.
I also remember that the grassy areas fell. I tried multiple gems to get it to fall this year before I realized it changed.

I haven’t even tried PUs on any level yet. It’s quite challenging to do each level without PUs to get 3-stars. So far, without PUs, JS only:

All three stars EXEPT level 5, only a 1 star shot so far
even if I use the bomb bird between the sections, no grass drops, it barely makes the pigs above burst!
I Muddle through the left side sections somehow, then saved the two Matildas for lobbing over structure 1 and ping Matilda’s into the pigs on the eight sections

Time to step out of the box for level 5, the obvious attack isn’t the way it’s not even close. Send Little Red on a bottom shelf flight he’ll at least kill 1 of 2. Next send bomb to the first shelf & detonate when it touches the top of ceiling underneath dynamite box & others. It’s the mother of all shots big time damage. Enjoy… I used Silver power sling. Reminder bomb has to be kissing the ceiling for atomic bomb results.
I think level 5 is a programmers mistake…Way to ridiculous.
I think that XANGRY might be on vacation or something, as there has been no non power up vids posted over on YouTube for a couple of weeks now,
I tend to like some of his strats

Many veteran Nesters have left the Nest and flown the coop. It’s instructions on how many of us “old-timers” have accumulated thousands of PUs and bird coins, more than we can possibly use in a week. So we play ABF seemingly with impunity, much to the chagrin of non-PU players or those who may pay Rovio a small fortune for in-app PUs or bird coins. TerribleTom, Angryy-Burd, Rakesh, TommyDE, and a host of other Nest-veterans are members of the Pro Group.
I hesitate to mention this tip because so many ABF Nesters have left in favor of this online FB group and only a few have remained (like Rayitos) to help other “hatchlings” on Nest. Follow the “secret” but don’t forsake the Nest. Do both and enjoy! –MB :)
@doctorjonn. If you follow the link given by Makin Bakin @dseufert and get accepted into the group, you’ll be able to join their sub-group which is non PU. I can’t say whether they post videos or strategies, though.
I send Little Red up for the 1st. orb & the center piece with the Bounce Sling 2nd. I send bomb in the same direction down the hatch to blow up the 2 pigs on the opposite side. Now you only have the left side to deal with & 4 shots to do it in. Take your pick. Myself I don’t have an aim at my disposal so it’s not easy far from it. Each shot has to do it’s job or forget it.
