This is for voucher codes that comes with certain Angry Birds merchandise, though none exist for ABF as far as I know. When entered, it will give you free coins, power-ups, or other goodies.
There was a promotional code that was usable in most Angry Birds games during the 5th anniversary of franchise, but I don’t know if ABF had any other codes.

The removal of node difficulty indicator is sure annoying but I can understand why: it did not really indicated the actual difficulty of the nodes you play.
In the past versions, I got through multiple “Hard” levels with 5HP remaining while getting killed many times in “Easy” nodes (lots of pigs with dangerous weapons at the start and/or tons of walking motors).

As far as I know, when you kill all the pigs using only 1 bird, you get a “Strike” and you get some bonus points. Similarly, if you beat a stage with only 2 birds you get a “Birdie”. I have no idea about “Headpop” though.

Unfortunately, yes. It seems the game requires stable internet connection now. This is deal breaker for me :(
There is already a similar topic BTW.

Sorry for mega bump, but I’d like to eventually see a story-mode where you play predetermined levels with 3-star rating.
    * Unlock episodes by completing squads in the main game.
    * Unlock additional very-hard levels by paying Pigs from the main game.
    * Your army’s status is separated from main game. Your upgrade status is predetermined by levels and always starts a mission with 5HP.
    * Your character and buddy is also predetermined by levels.
    * Level can be restarted freely from the pause-menu, death screen, and score tally screen.
    * Levels in this mode are much more dangerous than typical main game levels.
    * If you die, you must re-do the level from the scratch, but you are not required to pay 600 coins and wait several hours to earn another chance.
    * Coins in this mode will be colored differently (I’d say silver colored) and will not be added to main game’s coin balance.
    * Pigs reward much more coins than they do in the main game.
    * No squad bonus, ultimate character bonus, or video bonus. Instead, your remaining health and unused Energon powers are converted to coins.
    * Your coin score is evaluated with 3-star scaling.
    * 3-star a level for the first time to add some rewards to main game (coins/pigs/gems)
    * End of the episode is a boss fight against rival bots, boss mortars, or Eggbots.

Sorry for mega bump, but I found that in the Beach level with forest background (where you can get lots of Energon Cubes from trees) Astrotrain will usually arrive as soon as you leave the forest area. When you spot the forest exit, call your buddy and activate your car-mode immediately. You can then keep your buddy until the end of the level.
There was one case where this strategy didn’t work because the post-forest beach area lasted extremely long, but this is very rare.
Unfortunately, the beach-forest is the only area in the entire game where you have visual clue of level length…
