Triggerfish@triggerfishThese words often appear at top of screen, when I complete a stage in a level. Are they arbitrary or do they indicate an achievement and mean that I get extra points? I’ve been trying to see what happens after they appear, but I’m just not sure.

NCroc709@ncroc709As far as I know, when you kill all the pigs using only 1 bird, you get a “Strike” and you get some bonus points. Similarly, if you beat a stage with only 2 birds you get a “Birdie”. I have no idea about “Headpop” though.
Triggerfish@triggerfishOK, makes sense, thanks for reply.
AngryAngers@dungphantHeadpop appears if you pop the pig by hitting its head.
dmsral@dmsralThere’s an achievement for getting 50 headpops.
Triggerfish@triggerfishThanks everyone!
dmsral@dmsralHeadpopped the boss pig on level 90 with Terrence.
Nehuen@nehuenI think Headpop means that you popped a pig with a direct hit of a bird
AMslimfordy@amslimfordyStrike: Conplete a room using 1 card. Bonus points = 25k
Birdie: Conplete a room using 2 cards. Bonus points = 10k.
Rowdypup@rowdypup@triggerfish
Strike- beat the “room” in one bird
Birdie- beat the room in 2 or 3 birds
Headpop- get a direct hit on a Pig (no blocks or anything)
sal9@sal9It seems that Rovio modified the bonus again. I’m replaying ab2 from scratch, strike yields a bonus of 12.5k, and birdie 5k. Maybe that changes with bird levels, not entirely sure atm.
Triggerfish@triggerfishIt’s hard to get to grips with the scoring on this game, lol!
AngryAngers@dungphant@rowdypup “Birdie!” is for using 2 cards in one room, not 3. You’ll not receive any bonus if you use 3. Anyway, whatever you have a direct hit on a pig but not on its head, you’ll also not receive any Headpops. Also, Headpop also appears when a block falls on a pig’s head and pop him after hitting his head.
Triggerfish@triggerfishI think you’re right @sal9. I went back to an early level to try to improve my score, but I received fewer points for strike and am therefore unlikely to be able to beat my original score. If that’s going to be the same for all levels, it rather spoils the fun for me…
ULTIMATE@ultimate1A strike is when you complete a stage using only 1 bird
A birdie is when you complete a stage only using 2 birds
A headpop is when the bird directly hits the pig and pops it.
@sal9 I have some bronze birds,4 to be exact
@burbman which level are you on? Does the point extras increase as you go higher up?I’m at level 100 and I get about 25k from strikes and 15k from birdies.
ULTIMATE@ultimate1Sometimes in Angry Birds 2 buildings just seem to fall on their own and I don’t do any thing. The stage has just started and the build falls. It happens very rarely but it does happen. When the whole stage gets cleared without doing anything it still shows strike and no birds were used. Has anyone noticed that ?
@sal9 Do you know anything about this? Is it a bug or is this intentional.
burbman@burbman@ultimate1 – I am at level 185, Strikes receive a bonus of 25k, and Birdies 10k on all levels with the exception of a few of the very early levels where for some reason the payouts are lower. With regard to the towers that just fall, this is a function of pigs being very poor architects, and happens from time to time. Not a bug, just one of those ways that each attempt at a level will be a little different.
david007@david007Hi Triggerfish, apparently if you hit a piggie ‘head-on’ you get a headpop while pigs on exploding structures fly off the screen towards you (in a 3d type format), a strike is for doing a level in one and a birdie in 2 attempts I think, hope this helps, my friend. D007
