Can I please ask whether you are using VPN to play the game? If yes, which one? Are you aware any VPN which works well on Android phones?

I dont use VPN, I use shadowsocks..workable or not depends on local network. I suggest you to buy VPN and read the user comments first to see if it work in China

As far as I am aware there are two major local networks, China mobile and China Telecom. Can I ask which you are with as I will be staying in China for months and I would very much like to continue participating clan events and BC… (I am sorry for sounding like an game addict)

I was just wondering if playing the clan events, arena and boot camp is possible in China. Do you save your progress on the cloud / AB server? If there is update available, are you able to download it via the ”giant local network”?

1.you need VPN to play clan/bootcamp.
2.Progress will be uploaded to rovio server as long as the connection is not blocked.
3.Update need VPN. acutally, almost all google services require VPN to make the connection-
