Can you clarify, I don’t understand.

The Arena is worth it because when you win a given match,  you accumulate “stars”.  When you get enough stars, you get a Level increase, which raises your Flock total.  And THAT affects everything.

After several conversations with Rovio Support (thanks, guys !) I found out the answer to disappearing points.

    So, starting from the beginning:

    • You have a baseline Flock Power number, say 100, which is the sum of all your birds.
    • You wake up an ‘extra  bird’ like Stella.  Stella has her own points, say 25.  When she is awake, her points are added to your flock total.  So then your Flock total is 125.
    • When Stella goes back to sleep, her points are temporarily subtracted from your Flock Power Total.  Then your Flock total is back to 100.
    • So, extra birds points come and go, according to if they’re asleep or not, and your Flock Total varies from time to time.  But your baseline Flock points are not vanishing, it’s just the Extra Birds effect.

If you’re not a total purist, you can BUY more apples when you are running short.  10 for 99 cents.  Click on the nestling, look at the top left.

Aggie Guy is right.  After a long conversation with Rovio support, I learned that your Flock Score goes up or down, according to which extra bird you have active.  Awake?  Extra bird score is added, total score goes up.  Extra bird asleep?  Score goes back to “normal” (down).  It’s just like hockey.  When your team mate is in the penalty box, the whole team is weakened.

Many thanks to Rovio support for solving this problem, I was ripping my hair out.
