TheRedBird@redbird-justinAzure league, facing emerald league opponents.Do you experience such problems still after countless updates?

cognitive@cognitiveI don’t think opponent level matters as much as bird levels. If those are matched (seem to be after months of cheaters taking advantage of the system) then you should be OK.
CaptSternn@captsternnAnybody notice this seems to have gotten better? For the most part I am getting opponents with either the same star level and close to same bird levels, same bird levels and close to same star level, or both. I am getting very few opponents with all birds at level 9 and five spells.
heybert17@heybert17I have 4 level 4 birds and 3 level 5. While I am not getting the wildly outmatched opponents any more I am always getting an opponent who is 6 level 5 birds and 1 level 6 bird who stops my streak every single time.
Mancala Parakin@mancala-parakinI’m pitted against people like this, more often as I progress with wins. Many of them have similar names. “Families” such as the McFlys, the Takedowns, and the Von Squeeks are forces to be reckoned with!
Mighty Screamer-ingame@simon-mosegaardI wrote in another thread earlier, a couple a weeks ago, about my experiences with uneven matching…
Before the update, I played my way up the leagues to diamond, and I won it a few times. Before I could exit the game if I was matched agianst a player with far better birds than mine (mine are all 5’s now), and return without any problems until I got a fair opponent.
The idea with winning streak is good. I like the idea. Now we’re forced to play every opponent else we lose our streak. Now, every time, I am about to extend my streak to 3, perhaps 4, I get an opponent with all 6’s or 5’s with 4 spells… I stand no chance – and thats not fun.Earlier I wrote, that I feared that I would play less. And I am playing less now… Now I play the Daily Challenge (which has become easier?) and perhaps once a day I play the league to see if something has changed… To bad – because I really like the game, but not like this… I hope they change this…
Am I the only one with these thoughts?
burbman@burbmanI think part of the issue with getting more difficult opponents as you increase your winning streak is that Rovio is matching you up against opponents who are at the same place in their own winning streak, so the closer you get to seven, the more likely other players to be in the same place are to be the better players.
I have found that the teams themselves are usually within a reasonable range of ability, (within 1 level per bird on average). But the opponents I meet later on in the winning streak tend to use more spells, and are probably pay to play gamers. They can be beaten quite often by using spells gained along the way and the free video bird, and if not, I find 500 feathers to easily be worth the 60 gems I might have to spend on a few more birds.
Edit – I will add that the addition of friend gifts to the first two DC levels has greatly increased my gem/spell supply, as I have many friends and I play through the first two stages several times within my 8 hour allotment each day, sending out as many gifts as I can. Most of those players then repay the favor and I can receive a few hundred gems per day plus spell cards which I use in the arena. I rarely even play the third stage of the DC anymore.
