Jakomatic@jakomaticHello all, been playing the game for a month or so now and loving the game. I am currently lvl 27 and was wondering when do I want to start getting full set pieces for my birds. I have read lvl 25 but thinking thats when game first came out. Should I wait til I’m lvl 41?
Sorry if this is anywhere else but I have been looking all over and can’t find a definite answer. Thanks in advance

Partshade@partshadeIf you already have them go ahead and use them! You should wait until level 41 to start TRYING to get them. This way they are more powerful.
sal9@sal9@jakomatic If by “trying” you mean start spending coins for them, the higher your level, the better. In your case, I’d wait until I’m over 30.
KillerKea@killerkeaYou should wait till you are the maximum level. Right now the max level is 41. You shouldn’t have much difficulty until you get deep into the chronicle caves and by that time you’ll probably be level 41. Deep into the caves level 25 set items aren’t very useful because they either don’t do as much damage or add as much health as regular items you’ll get from the pig machine.
RedBirdy639@redbirdy639You can get them right now. Every time you level up, get some new set items.
KerrAvon@kerravon@jakomatic It will not hurt to get set items now. It just depends on whether you are willing to spend LCs. Use all the free rolls as they come (friends or Piggy McCool’s GPM and the free roll from watching a video). If you are going to spend LC’s, then wait for the rainbow riot. And just use the 3 LC roll.
I found set items useful to get through the caves when I was at lower levels. You may also get some good lower level items that you can use in ninja battles that occur later in the caves.
Jakomatic@jakomaticThanks for the feedback everyone. Yes I am talking about spending LC. Will grind lvls til I see the rainbow riot. Never saw that before so hope to see it soon. Again thanks to all
MVNLA2@mvnla2@jakomatic — The rainbow riot is obtained by battling the golden pig seven days in a row. The pig shows up floating near you on the map after midnight (in some time zone). You should make sure that you battle the pig every single day. This is the best way to get LC without spending money, and also gives you a discount in the Dojo depending on how many full Might-Eagle stamps you have.
Also, be sure you read recent post in the Golden Pig Machine forum to see experience with rainbow riot.
KerrAvon@kerravon@jakomatic @mvnla2 – if I may add. The daily golden pig is the very clever way that the game designers have convinced us EPIC players to play the game every single day. Even if it is only to play and defeat the golden pig. Because we all want LCs.
The number of coins gained from defeating the golden pig increases every day, from 1 LC on day 1 to 7 LC on day 7. For a full week we get 28 LCs (1+2+3 etc) and a stamp from the mighty eagle. After defeating the golden pig on day 7, we get the rainbow riot on the golden pig machine (GPM), which lasts for 15 min. That’s the best time to spend your LCs at the GPM – there is a 3x chance of getting a set item.
Of course, you can always save your LCs to buy character classes. Or as others suggest, save your LCs to use for when you level up.
I am sure you have come across and battled the golden pig. He’d too annoying to ignore (another very good ploy by the designers). You just have to beat him every day to get the benefits.
KerrAvon@kerravon@mvnla2 Thanks for letting me know about the extra LCs for facebook. Another benefit for using facebook.
I am still not going to get a facebook account. I just do not agree with this game being tied into facebook. I won’t even support this concept. Some of you are willing to set up your fake facebook accounts, but that is your choice.
They would do much better to tie it in with our rovio accounts.
KerrAvon@kerravonThe Rovio account does serve a purpose – you can play from multiple devices (This has enabled some nesters to use their emulators to gain snoutlings and mastery – something the game creators surely did not plan for) and Rovio make use of it for the special events – specifically around creating leaderboards.
Facebook seems to be linked in with the game as a promotional tool to widen its usage. Can you think of any other reasons? I am sure there are some. I presume there is also direct discussion between friends via facebook, but this can happen using other tools, such as ABN.
The promotional part would not happen with the Rovio accounts. If you have a rovio account, then you would likely be aware of the other angry birds games. Rovio would also need to do some development work and broaden the way the Rovio account was used. It’s probably easier to just use the existing facebook system.
