I only lacked 2100 tokens’ worth of the stuff on offer, so of course those were easy to get. Given all the uncertainty with the new targeting — and also with the new approach to bonuses – I’m glad that I didn’t much care about the results to this event. :)

I hope that event ends soon and Rovio start to fixing those damn bugs and not to thing making new events with all those miss firing!

@soundwave You’re completely correct. Changes will come to re-balance anything that we feel is under/over powered and is all part of the future plan we have for the game. As future updates are released things will become to feel more balanced and hopefully more enjoyable.

@lewie4 There must be a dozen posts addressed to you in about four threads and that’s all there is to say? It boils down to Rovio/Exient doesn’t care what their customers think, you’re going to do what you want anyway?

At least two of those messages have been polite but apparently polite messages don’t even get read. Let me put it bluntly, we, your customers aren’t asking for fancy tweaks to the way the game works. We have been consistently asking for you to open up new areas on the map, fix the bugs, and for the love of God give us a break from the competitions.

Apparently Rovio/Exient doesn’t believe in beta testing. Well I’ve done beta testing and it avoids the blunders you are making as well as enlisting your users as allies instead of the enemies you are currently cultivating. I’ve also done online support for a software company that really cared about its reputation and this isn’t how it’s done. Every question or criticism needs to be addressed, if you don’t have someone assigned to do that, assign someone. If you don’t have someone on your team then enlist someone from here if necessary and give them unfettered access to your developers to get answers and pass them along here.

Everyone can follow their own conscience but I’m boycotting any gem purchases, since that seems to be the only way to make a point. I might also suggest that anyone who isn’t happy go to the Google playstore and rate the app appropriately. If you’ve already rated it, you can easily change your rating.

As I’ve said in a post I don’t believe they have beta testers as the last several updates would not have passed a QA team, there again maybe they don’t have a QA team either. It’s more than likely they only do in-house testing which is not the way to do it. Like you I do beta testing everyday for all sorts of all’s and TBH we have a good laugh at Rovio updates sad but true. There are more than enough on this forum who would beta test this or any other of Robin’s all’s for free providing they had access to the dev team

They’d have to beat the volunteers off with a stick. The thing that irritates me most is the lack of communication. What would it cost them to give us a heads-up about upcoming updates and a detailed explanation of what the update does? It’s a lot easier to take when you’ve got warning than it is to have it shoved down your throat without explanation until someone screams about it. This forum is an incredibly valuable resource that other game developers would love to have. It’s sad to think that they don’t have anyone intelligent enough to realize that and take advantage of it.

I’m finding more than ever over the last several months that app’s sent out for beta tester and then pushed to the wild as the production app are no longer attaching a changelog. Now all you get is ” bug and stability fixes”. Oh boy tells customers a lot. Rovio have decided to go this way ::—

@elpapam So are they saying that Auto-Fire mode is better than playing yourself so they needed to balance the energonicons.

My question is why did they even bother to add Auto-Fire? I will admit I am new to the game but I can’t recall reading on this site people asking for an Auto-Fire mode. What a complete waste of time in game development when people have been asking for more areas of the map to open up to play.

Auto fire is an example of what happens when you don’t pay any attention to what your customers want or real world test your product before release. A developer gets a wild idea and is allowed to implement it and release it without any thought to practicality. Is it a cool idea? Definitely. Is it practical? Definitely not, particularly if everything else has to be spoiled to implement it.

Sorry for delay in replying, So who is right @lewie4 or Ann-Marie I now wonder.
I do not use the auto-fire option and will not as the times I tried it I got killed.
I like the bit about the updates making the more enjoyable to play lol. There we have it in a nut shell Ann-Marie does not play the game as if she did there is no way she would have said that. All in all then we have to like it or lump it.

I got 2 tasks to complete today visit the forest 4 times and use the shield to block 20 missiles, with around 5hrs or so to the end I’ve not seen 1 missile or gone to the forest once unreal it is and my pet hate not only here but anywhere else, if you set tasks then give the chance to complete mun geeeeezzzzzz smh

@paul13 If you’re done playing the competition event for tokens, use it for these tasks. I’ve gotten a few completions that way and I’m now attempting 12k coins in a single event (I believe they mean node). Using the competition event to use Goldbite Grimlock and Goldbrick. Got screwed on a run earlier and it didn’t log as a completion. I should have taken a screenshot and now I’m trying to get it again, but now the competition nodes are pretty devoid of gold blocks. There are tons of missiles, though.

Yep, new strategy now that the comp is over. Probably ignore the quest unless they are for gems. Even then, 10 gems aren’t worth the aggravation of some (many) of the quests.

Made 8 runs in the last day, finished 4-6 for 300 tokens. Got every accessory that I did not have and and enough tokens to get about 35000 of those valuable gold coins. Still had 10 tokens left and squandered.

Will not try to complete a daily challenge even tho I can still get tokens, probably to the end of the token exchange period. If I do, what can I use them for? Gold coins? That would simply get me closer to 9M coins.

Less than 300k needed to reach that! I cannot contain myself!

I got the update when the event was allready live for at least 1 or 2 days… so i’m kinda behind :(
Hopefully it will be possible again to unlock some of the previous added characters through missions…
