@amslimfordy, I’m with @hunnybunny – please don’t close the badges. I’m a late bloomer and just recently realised these badges were not only available but achievable. Hence, I set about acquiring POTJ firstly, now I’m hoping for Anchors Away. Please, please, please leave them available for those who follow in my wake as once you realise they are there, if you’re a serious player, you want them. I know there are others just discovering AB because my sister is one of them and I just don’t understand why anyone would want badges closed to others. Thank you.

Please consider linking this forum from the JA Badge description, and/or somewhere conspicuous like above the score entry form on the PotJ #40 walkthrough. When I qualified, I had no idea where to post my link. It’s not mentioned anywhere else that I could see. Seeing previous recipients post in both B&R, and on several of the the walkthroughs adds to the confusion. :)

MY LIFE HAS NEW MEANING! I finished all of the AB flinging games and was puttering around feeling depressed, when I found the “Achievements’ section, which gave me hope, and then I stumbled on this page for the POTJ score addict badge, which gave me something else to shoot for!! I’m so thrilled I became unchained this morning. I’ll also be sharing this site with everyone I know, since I think many people in my company (upwards of 150k employees) are closet AB fans. I’ll be focusing on POTJ first. Already got my score up on the J1 level. Once again this site proves to be outstanding (just as I said a few days ago in the forums).

I just finished getting about 2k more than the requirement for the badge. As I went to take a screenshot I saw a lightning bolt with a couple hundred k of points next to it and I realized the first time through, before I even knew about the badge, I had experimented with power ups on some torturous levels which made my current score invalid. Not only do I have to uninstall/reinstall to clear the scores, I need to play through all of the Star Wars levels again just to get absw, and I guess I’ll lose the green lightsaber. I’ll reinstall tonight, but I’ll wait a few days for the scars to heal before I start playing again. At least I have this site and the walkthroughs to mitigate the frustration. Looks like I’ll get my money’s worth for absw.

@jkhab69 If your episode score without the lighting bolt is about 3,252,000, you’re good. That’s the cumulative score without power-ups.

@tienshenlong, I would agree that the letter of the law doesn’t forbid pu. Even though I’ve only been playing AB for a couple months, I think I would prefer to try for the badge w/o using power ups. If it turns out that it was unnecessary to restart, at least I’ve gotten in more playtime and spent more time on this very excellent site. I do remember a few levels that were obviously designed by psychiatrists, attempting to ensure a dedicated income from patients mumbling things like “the piggy just wouldn’t pop” or “I think the lasers are mocking me”, but even the worst ones are beatable with tips from this site. That, and the friendly atmosphere are why I decided to donate and become unchained. At any rate, I had a busy day yesterday and last night, which means I’m way under my pig-popping quota. I have a couple hours until It’s time to start work, so I need to go stage a full frontal assault on some piggy pixels. thanks again for your reply @tienshenlong!

There seams to be a grey area around a close score and power ups why not just blitz’s the points required or have a second score with power up’s

The qualifications for the badge were written before PUs existed. I think @burpie’s is best: Exceed the threshold with the non-lightning-bolt scores.

@sal9 , thanks! it was a lt of work since I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling SW so I could get a clean run at POTJ. I had to go thru SW again, then POTJ to get the green lightsaber, then more levels in POTJ to get better scores. there are still a couple I think can improve upon.
