Who would you choose between Blurr and Breakdown?

    @voltronpig Breakdown

@voltronpig I don’t have Blurr but Breakdown is great. Really fun to play. Shoots a spread of multiple EMP rounds and summons Strikebot every time you switch to vehicle mode. Breakdown rocks against Unicron too.

Thanks all. I was leaning towards Breakdown but changed my mind at the last minute and went with Nightbird based on GrimLockdown’s SR rankings. I’ll grab Breakdown the next time around.

I’m a newb here (about 6 months into the game). Is there a directory that guides you on the simple things in the game, like what do the 3 symbols mean in the profile screen? There appears to be a Shield symbol (I assume this means defense), a Target feature (accuracy?) and a symbol that looks like a steering wheel (no idea).

Oh sorry, if you didn’t have Nightbird, then YES that’s absolutely the best choice.

The target is their relative attack power, i.e. offense. Shield is defense / health. Steering wheel is how long they stay in vehicle mode.
They’re not very accurate. Numeric values would be better.

Thank you Noah, that helps. Glad I found that SR list. I was worried about Breakdown since it looks like Soundwave who isn’t very good (weird that Soundwave can’t knock down some missiles with a single shot).

Fun game, but feels like there are so many strategies that I learn something every week. I’m still confused how people can get such high scores on the weekly challenges. I assume they’re using gems to add additional runs?

And what’s the best way to get Overpower once you’re on Level 15?

@voltronpig Main way to get higher scores is by Promoting members using Spark you earn from Spark Runs. You promote with the rank icon in profile of each TF. The promotion does NOT increase their power at all, it multiplies their score in Spark Runs and Events. And promotion bonus is x4 if that TF is in featured squad from Event that week.
Side note: your goal should be to have two promoted members of each squad. Typically your primary is TF with higher Spark Run rating. Your secondary is either another from squad with high SR rating or TF with a sharpshooter weapon if primary isn’t. Ex. Ultimate Megatron is best in his squad. Goldbite Grimlock isn’t great but he’s my secondary in case there’s a missile day during events.

Second way, yes, is to add extra runs with gems. I typically do the first refresh most days for 10 gems. But you can wait and see and decide if it’s worth it. If it will help you get one of the bigger rewards that’s day, it’s worth it.

You can Overpower a couple different ways. Main way is using tokens during that squad’s event week with token. Sometimes a TF from a different squad is in token exchange for an event also, so keep your eyes open for that in case it’s an important TF you’re missing or need to promote. Second way to overpower is random from a Gold Crate. Does not happen very often.

I don’t recommend buying gold crates with gems btw. Save your gems for adding a second or third TF in the 3 challenges, topping up runs during events, unlocking Jungle Run & Devastator, and unlocking the other Combiners.
If you haven’t noticed, once per day you get a free crate for watching a video, usually Steel but sometimes Gold, when you open and close the crate store. It’s glitchy, so sometimes you might need to open & close the crate store 5, 10, even 20 times, but that free crate is always there once per day.

Thanks @noahlot. I have been trying to run my highest promoted TFs, up to 395% combined, which I think is close to being maxed out (one I am maxed out – Nautica 210 and Devastator at 185). So I’m shocked when I’m about 1/3 – 1/2 the score of top earners.

Not every weekly game allows multiple TFs, right? Like this week, there’s only 1 TF allowed? Energon Grimlock is my featured TF this week. He apparently has some healing ability? Which TFs have this?

Thanks on the Overpower tips! I remember I did this once for Nautica but haven’t had the chance yet on others (I’m still below 15 on the ones they give this option for)

For Challenge Runs, there is only 1 TF allowed, correct? I’ve been stuck using Devastator (level 15) since I opened that section up. It’s frustrating though cuz he has such a long delay between long-shots. I have opened up 3 TFs for the Spark Runs, although Nautica is my only strong TF for that game. My others are Optimus Prime (level 14) and Devastator which I use last cuz while he’s dependable, he’s so slow. Need to get my Nightbird leveled up (currently 6) but that’s going to take a while.

Thanks again, a very fun game!
