iPad screen locks on #7 winning streak video

This has happened 5 or 6 times.  I get to #7 for a winning streak, but need to watch a video to get another bird. The screen locks.  I can’t get a video to play (the link is there but unresponsive) or pay 60 to continue, which I would do to preserve my streak.  The only way out is to close and reopen the game, load the arena, which displays the “you lost” graphics.  Is there a reason for this?  I check my network connection and it’s not the problem.

I’m also playing on ipad. I often have this phenomenon. Screen is frozen, can’t chose nothing, winning streak is lost. This bug is known but will not be fixed for years. Why?

I have had this problem as  well.  Very annoying.  Always happen on the 7th level and I get cheated out of a win streak.  Playing on an iPad
