How Do You Use These Classes?

  • Sometimes the arena objectives ask us to win with certain classes. But what about these?

    Guardian
    Priest
    Witch
    Pirate
    Berserker

Guardian: Keep shield active at all times while keeping debuff applied to as many enemies as possible. Skulkers is helpful here.

Priestess: Infect opponent then apply and keep buff to birds. BTW with Priestess you need to go in this order: Attack, buff, buff, repeat. Skulkers helps hold the buffs thinking you can use the Blue’s turn to apply debuffs.

Pirate: Keep buff on birds at all times. Attack when possible.

Berserker: If you have a healer and are dealing with multiple enemies use side ability on strongest bird. Otherwise attack directly.

    Witch:
Without Skulkers: I haven’t figured out any effective tactics without them. :P
With Skulkers: Use Tricksy Trick to apply debuff to all enemies. Keep buff to as many birds as possible.

But these classes have been replaced by the stronger, right?

Hey here’s a way to get some crazy healing from matilda,
    Keep the rage chili full.
Use priestess’s spirit link on all your birds.
Give the rage chili to matilda.
This way each of your birds recieve each other’s 35% maximum health heal.
For example, think three of your birds have exactly 100 health. And think those birds are red matilda and bomb.If you do this all of these three birds or any others you have chosen recieve 3 times 35 health. Do you get it?

Guardian & priest r useless; u can’t do anything with them. The others r ok; i onky use them when daily objects ask for them

Guardian is worthless, super weak attack, and weak shield.

Priest is marginal, but OK against Dodge, kinda like Marksman.

Witch is playable, hits OK, heals Banner for 3,000+

Pirate is similar to Captain, but inferior to Sea Dog.

Berserker is difficult to use, and also inferior to Sea Dog.

One fun arena trick with Priestess is to use the Blessed set with Rainbird and Rogues. Use Rogues to cast cupcake trap on the banner. Link everyone with Priestess (first link rainbird, then banner, then rogues), and use Rainbird to heal. When you can, use Rogues to pick off enemies. With the blessed set, Rainbird heals for something like 900/bird and 450 for the banner, so you heal something like 3k/turn (more with the honey pot). Avoid any teams with a dispel (captain, tricksters, lightning bird, phoenix set, ying/yang set, sling/plushies set, some banners). I love using this on power teams for the knock out 10 birds/battle objective.

You can use Witch+Berserker to do some heavy damage (buff banner or red with witch, then whirlwind). It can be used for the KO 3 birds with one attack goal. You can also use Witch for the KO 3 birds with one attack goal with Captain & Skulkers, while providing great banner healing.

Pirate works fine as a big hitter. No real strategy required.

Thank all of you! I’ll try these strategies in the arena soon.

I’m on my phone so please forgive me if this topic has been posted previously, but I’m curious if anyone has the Stone Guard class for red. I’ve been saving lucky coins to get Sea Dog and I’m almost there. I’m curious if I should get Stone Guard instead because of the new Bomb class coming up in the new event. I’ve never had the opportunity to play Stone Guard so I don’t know what he does and if he’s a good selection. Thank you for your help.

@jewlsdeluxe Stone Guard is a very good damage dealer when used with the right classes. However Sea Dog is a slightly better option. Get Sea Dog first and then Stone Guard.

@partshade OK, great. I’m almost there. Thank you for your help!

    Guardian
Good luck with this one. Lowest damage, pointless support… Use the Dragon Breath set for the best damage output, or Primal Power to reap the attack debuff. Pair Guardian with strong classes such as Sea Dog or Spies to make up for low damage.

    Priestess
Since Priestess strikes twice per attack, this makes her somewhat useful with Marksmen. Use the Sweet set for better healing. Use with Samurai, Illusionist, or Cannoneer to take advantage of Marksmen’s debuff.

    Witch
Offensive class, not so much for healing. Best weapon set is Cleansing Light. Pair her with other damage boosting birds such as Pirate/Corsair, Capt’n, or Skulkers. Optionally, pair with AoE birds such as Dragon Breath Samurai, Wizard, or Spies since Witch cannot AoE.

    Pirate/Corsair
Personally I have Corsair, which makes this class quite nice. This is a solid direct damage class and is great with others such as Samurai, Wizard, Spies, or Skulkers. Best weapon set is Scissors.

    Berserker
Best class to use if your objective is “Don’t use Rage Chili.” Just keep your rage chili full, and attack away. Like Pirate, pair with other direct damage classes such as Samurai, Wizard, Spies, or Skulkers.

Guardian + Cleric with Blessed Set makes a pretty tough shield against Chuck/Spies/Beserker. Too bad the extra damage effects from Dragon/TLightning/BeepBeep bypass it. But yeah, Damage is way too low for a defensive class that doesn’t bring enough defense to be useful. Tack on Thunderbird to reflect the damage and you can melt enemy Chuck/Spies/Berserker.

Priestess just takes too long to set up. Apply debuff 1 turn, support on the other two birds the following 2 turns, repeat forever. Enemies usually don’t last long enough to make good use of the debuff anyways.

Witch is Matilda’s newest Arena class (once she’s high enough level). The heal on the Banner is the strongest heal in the game right now. Damage is nice, the effect is too weak imho. Now that enchanting is in and the Banner can go up to 25000, her support can heal it for 5000. Pair up with Berserker for decent damage.

Pirate is good, but boring. Gives damage buff, attacks attacks attacks… wheee. Pair him up with Chuck/Red/whoever else.

Berserker has a real niche ability, not that great. Damage isn’t that great, but it will get the job done. His support ability is only useful on Red or the Banner. Pair with Witch (maybe with Ying-Yang?) to get the most out of his mediocrity.

Knight + Mage + Princess. Forcing, protecting, reflecting.
Rainbird + Druid + Rogues. Poison Overdrive.
Knight + Mage + Rogues. OW. It hurts a lot!
Princess + Rainbird. Free of any problem.
Paladin + Princess + Rainbird. So sweet!

I can’t believe how many people don’t like Berserker. This is my main class when I’m using Bomb. When used the right way his damage is unbelievable. Plus the support is amazing if you have a healer.

    I’mDoneWithPigs
    @donewithpigs

Yep @partshade but he consumes much health from your bird + his attack is weak and you need fill up Rage Chili to deal more damage.

    Partshade
    @partshade

@donewithpigs And I love using him for that exact reason. He requires thinking ahead and takes some skill to use effectively. And when he is used the right way he’s more powerful than all of Bomb’s classes (Except Sea Dog but Berserker is very close).

    I’mDoneWithPigs
    @donewithpigs

I love Berserker too, but is at mastery 5 and I have mastery 7 at 3/5 classes
