    Er…that means there are 2 million rollercoasters in Greenland.

    Who knew?

    Must be why Agent Orange wants to buy it.

    Has anyone seen Dan’s coat?

    The school run was more manic than usual this morning,half the drivers think they’re auditioning for a role in the next Bond movie as  stunt drivers(women).While the half are so slow they have a man with a red flag walking in front of them(women).The road leading up to the school often has cars parked along it but there’s room for two buses in the gap(not hyperbolising).The ones who wait behind the parked cars are always driving brand new motors.Drives me bonkers I’m still in Meldrew mode.Is it a lack of spatial awareness or precious syndrome?

    Anyone seen A Complete Unknown?
    Timothée Chamalet was superb, playing the most objectionable, miserable, man, who wrote some of the best songs ever.
    But the only good cover song is a Bob Dylan one…

    Brian, we live by a school (no comment on women drivers) but the catchment area must be a mile. The only people people who actually walk the kids to school are the grand parents
    I could start on two mile walk, snow, etc, etc, but we all know…

    I am of the opinion that other people were much better at performing many of Dylan’s songs than himself. There are some very good covers. I’m not anti-Dylan, far from it, but I do think there was a strong case to have given that 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature to Leonard Cohen instead.  Although, like Dylan he wouldn’t have attended as he died about 3 weeks later.

    I think this is a lot better than the stuff that Dylan was doing at 54.

    I also like Cohen, here’s a cover, that I love

    One week till the Porsche goes (it’s far too expensive for 3,000 miles per year, leasing a VW Golf instead) and an overheating engine sensor goes ballistic
    Porsche sent a £90,000 bright red replacement for the week
    I’m crying…

    I’m guessing your house sale didn’t come off @hunnybunny?  Is is still on the market? You need to park the red one outside.

    Must admit I could never get past Bob’s nasal whine so virtually anyone covering his songs is an improvement.Cohen’s voice seems to suit his songs and the Godfather of Gloom tag.Obviously both better poets than singers.

    Given his Canadian/Jewish background and penchant for political  song writing I wonder what he would have made of the Trump/Netanyahu ‘Gaza Riviera’ press conference.(Etraordinary even by DJT standards)Material for a double album methinks.

    Hard times Mrs Bunny?I remember when you had his and her Mercs parked on the drive and now it’s soon to be a VW.Are you down to 3 cruises a year?

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Yes, but she’s got a great pair of knees.

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Surprise post today from @vuelva on level 19-7. Think I might have jolted him awake by posting a high score.

    HunnyBunny
    @hunnybunny

    No hard times, 3,000 miles a year, doesn’t warrant two Mercs or the petrol guzzling Porsche. A very nice VW GTI saves us two to three thousand a year!
    Enough for a lot more holidays, once my other knee has been done, and The Bunny Man recovers from his op (it was worse than we thought, but on the mend now)
    And, yes, the house has failed to sell…

    @briann

    Glad to hear Mr Bunny is on the mend here’s a tune just for him.

    Whatever happened to @vuelva ?He came up with some brilliant strategies that only @asher could replicate

    @briann i stopped contributing because of imo overzealous rule-enforcers pushing long-standing top-players out. since i’ve moved to greener pastures (the uk; last year), the bp has become my go-to place for immersing myself in british culture. e.g. i knew hardly any of the videos / songs posted, didn’t know that one should start wordle with “shite”, that apostrophes need protection, etc. (looking through old archives also makes me sad though, Rat, Kathy, …).

    having dusted off my old ipad / ab end of last year (for reasons related to moving to the uk) i tested' it by breaking 10.3M in jp (through 36-1; see my album). As Desperate Dan is the top-runt I nowtested’ it again on one of his recent levels. (despite yesterday getting the message that the picture failed to upload I now see it is in my album?).

    Desperate Dan
    @desperate-dan

    Oh God, if we had only known! You probably think The Fall is the high point of British culture. @brianN you have a lot to answer for.

    “Top Runt”. I like that.

    Brian N
    @briann

    Yes we  are culture vultures down here @vuelva and ignore Dan,The Fall really are the acme of all things British.Couldn’t agree more with your initial point ,it’s a little disturbing to see scores mysteriously disappear just because a person no longer visits the Nest.Though I am intrigued as to why you’ve never posted scores.

    @briann

    Dropped my daughter off at the train station in Montrose today and was stuck behind a slow moving motor all the way back to Brechin(if I’d had a Porsche I would’ve had her(or a Golf)).The number plate was FEZ III and she was so slow I had time for several Tommy Cooper flashbacks but fortunately no Steely Dan episodes.

    Brian N
    @briann

    Wow England won a game by a point!?Does that mean Kansas lose by a point tomorrow?Let me know who Twiggy has her dog treats on and I’ll go the other way.
