@briannHello @angryperson ,nice of you to drop in and hope all is well.Sorry no one was here to greet you yesterday the BP closes on a Wednesday (quaint English custom).So what part of The States are you from?
Desperate Dan
@desperate-dan@brianN, we really are going to have to be on our best behaviour.
Brian N
@briannYes we don’t know how angry he is .Makes a change from mad dogs and Englishmen though(better not say who the mad dog is,she’ll shout at me in a Welsh accent.)
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danThink you might be digging a hole there.
catsnbirds
@catsnbirdsThink that hole was dug long ago 😉
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danIf there is any chance that Wham! might top the Xmas charts with the same song two years in a row, with a song that is decades old, it speaks volumes about the absolutely carp state of modern music. Also, I think it might be the Xmas song I hate more than any that I have ever heard. It also might be the Xmas song with the video I hate more than any I have seen.
And if you are going to tell me that Fairy Tale of New York is the best Xmas song of all time then I’ll meet you outside on the porch and explain to you exactly why it is not.
Bah humbug!
HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyBrian is now dead
In a very big hole, I dug it round, but it should have been square
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danThis should have been the Xmas number one.
HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyAnd, Dan, before you join Brian, in the hole, what is the best Christmas Song?
White Christmas
Santa Baby
Christmas Rapping (a favourite of mine)
Thirty eight years of “Driving Home”
Or some seventies Glam Rock rubbish?
burbman
@burbmanBeen a while since I stopped in to the BP (maybe ten years?) Good to see the establishment still doing good business.
@hunnybunny – I will throw in my two cents with a vote for Santa Claus is coming to town (by Bruce Springsteen)
Brian N
@briannI’ve never worn a bowler hat and there’s no such thing as a good Christmas song.
The Grinch.x
Brian N
@briannJona Lewie had a good pop at it Oh and Hi Burbman!
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danYou could do a lot worse than Stop The Cavalry by Jona Lewie. At least it has a point. But I don’t really like any of them. In my opinion, the best ever Xmas number one was Mad World by Gary Jules (2003), which I would say is one of the best cover versions of all time. But not a Xmas song.
And why am I going in the hole? What have I done? Citizens of Wales should stick together.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danGosh, I posted the Jona Lewie comment without seeing Brian’s comment. We actually agree on something.
Brian N
@briannYou and I agreeing Dan?It really is a mad world.
Brian N
@briannF is for Fortune 500. https://youtu.be/4pWEZQWzcKc?si=M5gozq0lS0VakZvt
HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyHi Burbman
Best Christmas Film?
I’m watching it now: Love Actually
OK it’s a girly one…
Brian N
@briannThere is no such thing as a good Xmas film.
The Grinch.
Die Had was alright.
Brian N
@briannDid you get the irony?
Brian N
@briannAnother blank challenge page,think this random level idea needs another look.Picking the hardest levels in every game will cause a rebellion.
Brian N
@briannPeople will be casting their subscriptions into the street.Stevie will be sending snarky memos to @sweetp (are you ok btw sweetp?)Even Karen will be swooping down with talons extended.Donald Trump will watch The Count’s A Christmas Carol and buy Kamala harris a Turkey dinner.The world is in turmoil I tell you!
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danI do like Love Actually, actually love (see what I did there?). However I have just finished watching the decidedly un-Christmassy Squid Game. Nasty but very good. Series 2 on Dec 26. Looking forward to Wallace and Gromett mainly.
HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyMe too
Brian N
@briannGlad you two are loved up.I think it’s a turd of a film and only forgive Curtis because he did Blackadder.That said it’s probably a bit harsh as I’m in a foul mood because of the Daily Challenge.
Including today thrice have I missed a pup by fewer than 1k since the Challenge came back ‘on line’.
Tonight I’ve had 3 scores within a few hundred of the mark and not only that on two occasions I’ve been on 106k after bird one with that poxy left hand suitcase(worth 5k) totally exposed with a brick sitting on top of it(111k is the mark with two birds in the hutch-do the math)
But the piece de resistance was me sitting on 106k the left suitcase sorted all the bricks etc falling perfectly on the right side.The poxy right suitcase started to fall left(both suitcases are poxy) but instead of hitting the ground which would’ve seen me home and dry it rolled back on it’s plinth unscathed!
At this point I went into full Victor Meldrew mode and had a total hissy fit in front of my screen(and in front of my wife)”I thought that game was therapeutic” smirked she.
“Therapeutic my arse!” was the response.
This is worthy of a Ggggggaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! also a Ggggggnnnnnnnnaaaaaaasssshhhhhhh!!!!!! and bless her beautiful heart a Kathy WWWWhhiiiiiiiiiiine!!!
Tonight I have a rant.Tomorrow I have a runt.
Brian N
@briannDone birding forever.
