Desperate Dan
@desperate-danI think Penarth may be more in the firing line than Bangor. I stocked up – bought a box of matches.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danEnjoying the Bazball. And Gus’s hattrick.
You know, almost everything I have written in the last few pages will be nonsense to almost everyone. Even to me.

@briannCan you be trusted with matches?
Anyone watching The Agency?Mixed reviews but I was hooked after the musical intro(Jack White’s version of U2’s Love is Blindness which includes totally nicked drum pattern from Bowie’s 5 years-3 great tracks for the price of 1)
Fassbender back on form,could watch that guy paint a fence for hours.

@briann@hunnybunny was determined to have that cocktail party outside. https://youtu.be/ZQuZly3owJQ?si=wn1pjAZO06efZ8Kb

@desperate-danLlandudno pier seems to have bought it. Thankfully Bangor pier seems to have survived. I know quite a few people who run kiosks along it. It’s a wonderful place with sensational views of sea and mountains. Twiggy loves going there because she gets doggy ice-cream from the cafe at the end, which is open even on Christmas Day. However it was closed today which put paid to the Christmas fair and concert that was planned. Even Santa was blown off course.

@desperate-danHere it is! My home town (city).

@briannSpeaking of storms I see Gregg’s second wife has weighed in with “My life with Gregg was utter hell!”…from the grave.
You know when middle class ghosts of a certain age start piling in that your time is up.
Brian N
@briannThat pier is tidy.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danTidy and also tidey.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danThe most well-known song about Bangor. However, it’s not about Bangor at all, more likely Rhyl about 20 miles along the coast. The lyrics just worked better with Bangor.

@hunnybunnyI’m always answering a question on the page before!
But worth it for the song, I fear this site is breaking down too!

@desperate-danWhat connects Prefab Spout to Seven Nation Army?
HunnyBunny

Desperate Dan
@desperate-danSpoiler
Some sources claim that they are both the result of things misheard – in Paddy MacAloon’s case “peppered sprout” from a Johnny Cash song and in Jack White’s case, Salvation Army. I think the second has more truth, but anyway, those origin stories are both out there.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danOn that theme, who can forget the immortal Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack duet “Tonight I Sellotape my Glove to You”. Once heard, never unheard.
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danAnyway, need to catch up with Quizzy Monday.
HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyQuizzical Monday followed by The 1% Club
My brain is frazzled
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danThe 1% Club is stressful.
Twiggy and I were on the beach at Red Dwarf (a.k.a. Red Wharf) Bay this morning and were shocked to discover thousands (in fact I would confidently venture millions) of dead baby starfish. An astonishing sight. Also hundreds of pieces of what I believe is called Sea Pork which looks unnervingly like swollen pink human fingers making up a whole hand – very gruesome. All a result of the storm apparently.
HunnyBunny
@hunnybunnyOff to London tomorrow, mainly to see A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic
Our third visit
As a critic said “Every year they put it on, I will be there”
Scrooge is played (and sung) by John Simm this year
Also meeting up with my sister and family, and eating and drinking
Desperate Dan
@desperate-dan@hunnybunny, if you really want to fry your brain! I’ve done number 1..

(20 minutes later – actually nothing like as brain frying as usual, thank goodness)
Desperate Dan
@desperate-danMy efforts to 3-star all of Seasons without any reference to walkthroughs, just for posterity have ground to a halt on quite a few Pig Days levels. I’m starting at the most recent episodes and working back, so this is only the seventh episode I think. Well tough.
