Epic Gear Every Roll?! (Patched)

Epic items are not necessary to finish the game, nor any of the Caves. As a matter of fact I have not speed d a dime, and only thing remaining are a couple of levels to 3 star, and master classes. Is this exploit cheating? No. Actually it’s neither an exploit or a cheat, since it does not modify the game code, it’s simply a bug that will get patched soon.

@mistychristie I already beat the game. I haven’t spent any money and I’m not even on Facebook so I don’t get the daily free lucky coin, free essence, free pig spin on a friend’s PGM and I can’t even use friend’s birds in the caves. Despite these huge disadvantages I still 3 starred almost everything and many levels in the caves I did with just 2 birds and no allies. Some I did without even using potions or cakes. I also don’t have skulkers, sea dog, thunderbird or any master class.

@mistychristie Both the user and the developers of the game have a unwriten contract: The user shall provide the devs with feedback and detailed reports of any bug or error it ecounters, in exchange, the devs provides the player with the best gameplay experience they can offer. What happens when 1 side breaks the contract? The other one counters. i.e: The Infinite Replay Of Dungeons was actually an exploit, the user didn’t provide any info about the error (it was supposed to be beaten 1 time per week only), over time, the developers discovered the exploit, removing it completly.

From the developer themselves?…never mind, I don’t need to know. Since I am not a lawyer I will leave legalese to the professionals. Suffice it to say, I am content with the current glitch, and will even continue to play well after it’s fixed. :-)

Question for those players labeling users who are utilizing means readily available within the game as “cheats” –

How is the common player to differentiate a glitch not to be used, from an easter egg planted by the developer to be found by enterprising players?

For any player to find these irregularities, they are going to spend considerable time playing the game, and being exposed to numerous advertisements for various products, games, movies, etc. that the developer is being compensated for. Once those eggs have been discovered and publicized, the developer may then update the program, closing that loophole, and perhaps opening new ones to keep dedicated players active in the game, and viewing additional advertising.

I would agree with the “cheat” designation, if utilization involved actions not normally taken within the context of the game such as using some third party software to short circuit the power up purchase process, or manipulating the device clock to trick the app into thinking time had passed, but something as simple as pressing the replay button at the end of a level, or opting not to use the golden pig machine unless on a free roll from a friend’s machine do not strike me as particularly sneaky or cheatlike.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but in a game where advantages do not result in scores that would skew a leaderboard and place a player unaware of them or who opts not to use them at some handicap to those who do, I see no reason for the negativity.

What if a casino had a slot machine that paid out a jackpot every single time? Do you think they’d let you keep the money? What if a bank makes a mistake and accidentally deposits a huge amount of cash in your account? Do you get to keep it? Obviously not.

The huge majority of people think this is too good to be true. If they didn’t, why would they keep asking if it still works? This is obviously a mistake by the developers when they made the change from version 1.0.11 to 1.0.12 to not advance your PGM by 2% when spinning on a friend’s PGM. This is not an easter egg. It is an unintended consequence of a change they made. Since the developers thought being able to replay the dungeons was too generous to the players do you really think they’d intentionally give you something that is 100 times more generous. It is actually costing them money since it makes the game so much easier that people won’t buy as many lucky coins. Go ahead and take advantage of it while you can, but IMO it feels like using steroids to me.

I guess I see your point….it’s kind of like finding a tax loop hole and taking advantage of it to reduce the amount you own the IRS…..Additionally, I’d imagine it costs them (the developers) money any time someone plays and/or beats the game without buying any Lucky Coins. :-)

The set item thing is obviously a glitch, but I had no idea that replaying the dungeons was a glitch. I figured they took it out just to tweak the game’s balance. Probably about a quarter of the time I’d replay it not for the extra Snoutlings, but so I could re-spin for the 200-Snoutling prize when I was low on Friendship Gems.

Rovio isn’t making money off me for this game, but I have supported them by buying almost all their other games both regular and HD versions. I’ve bought telepods and lots of other merchandise they sell, but like you I think they charge too much for the lucky coins so I simply won’t buy them because you don’t need to to beat the game.

Let’s get this straight guys – if you are playing the game then you are supporting rovio due to the forced ads in the game. With the popularity of the game, rovio is generating some revenue even if nobody would buy lucky coins. With that being said, I too think that lucky coins are overpriced even during the summer sale, and would be happy to throw them few bucks if they were priced more reasonably

I think it’s kind of funny that when I played Candy Crush on Facebook I was a cheater (so called by other players) when I spent money to help me finish the game (by buying extra moves, etc.) and here I’m a cheater if I take advantage of a glitch in the programming that allows me to NOT spend money to help me finish the game, lol! :-)

Since this game doesn’t make you compete against others I don’t have a problem with people exploiting this bug, but if they ever add PvP or leader boards some players would have a huge unfair advantage over others.

I don’t think the line up of your birds matters when you get set items, but I think it is possible that they might do something similar to Diablo where you are more likely to get a set item for the characters you use the most which in turn would cause a lot more duplicates than you would mathematically expect if there was an equal chance for all set items. I just got my sixth Lightning Tome today. I use chuck the most.

I spent about 800 dollars on this game trying to complete all epic sets, several times I mistekenly swaped iconic items for crap, but I really don’t mind other people exploit (or just use game glitch) golden pig machine free rolls. My issue are people who have unlimited lucky coins and snoutlings without paying single cent and the fact that Rovio don’t block them. There many hackers who have birds’ level 99+, which also bother me.
I use this glitch trying to get duplicates for items that I have only one.

Actually I had a friend who used a hacked ask and one day his level read as lvl1,therefore rovio does block it

Once your rainbow is full, you get epic Orem every day using friends roll. Still working for me but keep getting duplicates (tried changing party)

So I tried this.. Worked once however I haven’t been given an offer for a free roll on a friends GPM in 2 days.. Anyone else experience this?
