Very nice. I picked up E. Rogues last event and now I’m taking him and the Druid over to the Arena for some Venomous fun. Unfortunately I’m on the losing team but have to keep playing the event if I want to stay in first place. Sigh.

@huh It’s a weird game-theory problem. If you get too far ahead, the people in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place give up and stop playing so you lose the 2x bonus. So is it better to keep it close and risk getting just two stars, but get the 2x bonus, or pour it on and get 3-stars but lose the bonus? And if the people on the other team care about who “wins” overall, would racking up your score make them even more competitive?

I’ve never seen it this close. The lead for my event switches between the two teams but at this point it’s generally less than 1.000 points out of about 100.000. So if people stop playing, it would be bad.

And I’m still pissed off about the whole land kraken thing. Land kraken. It’s like, yeah, let’s make a monster that is a giant sea-going fire-breathing t. rex. Wait. Nevermind.

@jamairoqui land Kraken for a second time…it’s not like there aren’t maritime backgrounds already in Epic. Having him bust through the ship’s deck would work way better than the current format.

@datguygamer yes, it certainly is, just that I would have used either E Rogues or E LBird much more often than I will E Cannoneer (got E Druid from the last chest).

I had this option: E-LBird, E-Cannoneer, E-Druid. I wanted E-Druid but the game rolled E-Cannoneer for me. E-Cannoneer is good enough for me too :) No need to pay LCs for rerolling.

My team to beat Kraken: Marksmen (Beep set), Samurai (Dragon set), Cannoneer (Finisher set), LBird (whatever set :) ). 1st round: Bomb Rage to kill all tentacles. Marksmen attack, Samurai attack, LBird on Samurai attack. 2nd round: Marksmen attack, Samurai attack, Cannoneer attack (Finisher procing), LBird on Cannoneer attack (Finisher procing). Kraken defeated.

I rolled Elite Lbird just like last time. Have plenty of LCs so I rerolled and got Elite Rogues which is what I wanted =) Yay!

I also had this option: E-LBird, E-Cannoneer, E-Druid. I ended up with E-Cannoneer as well. I seldom use this class, but it’s still cool to have.

I too had the choice between LBird, Druid and Cannoneer and got Cannoneer on the first roll so I left it as-is.

The guy in 1st place miraculously doubled his score over night. I bet he’s a cheater.

Meanwhile, my team is losing. :(

@smwforever45 – he could have also burned through some stamina drinks. I am holding on to mine until <12 hrs remaining, but could unleash a whole ton of activity if it looks like I can push my team to the win. 5,000 mastery for all plus 5,000 for two birds is a pretty good reward, and its not like I can use them for anything else.

@burbman be careful, as others may be doing the same on the other side. Two World Boss Events ago I considered the very same, as my Team was catching up on the last day. Then the opposing top three decided to have an all-out brawl to sort out the pecking order, and we were left in the dust…

@smwforever45 A player in my opposing team doubled his score as well. I was going to drop some resources to get the double bonus but the opposing team is now 16K ahead and it’s not worth the effort.

@bubbley Oh sorry I meant to say 5K all since SAM is in the winning team so he’ll get double mastery. I forgot world boss events reward you with less mastery overall. :P

My 0-for is still well on track. We are getting destroyed, over 70K behind now. Jebus the other Team is not shy to consume. Top three are within a few hundred of each other, so it’s not going to stop either.

@datguygamer this will be crazy. i used whip up! on elite paladin (mastery lv 40) bird level 60. then i used thunder clap on the kraken, and then the weak spot, used the rage ability and dealt a mind melting 13543 DAMAGE as the final hit, holy birdy.
