Unlike previous events it’s possible to spend gems to continue.

I look forward to the day that they change the hat thing and introduce an element of skill to win them, rather than having to use luck, gems and real life money.

I did however manage to get the first Tower of Failure reward with just Red’s hat, which gave me a free go and I luckily got Blues’ hat. I’ve missed out on Chuck’s twice now and on the last go got 3 pigs between stages 15 and 20 on the ToF! Rovio really won’t want me to get anymore because I don’t spend any money with them.

With the free go in the adventure I’ve hit level 20 three times so far and missed the hat each time.

Today was a doozie – pig on 2,3 and 4.

I got 1 hat so far and that was 2 days ago after a decent-ish run in the ToF (I ended up having to leave on floor 10).  Both yesterday and today I got a pig on floor 2. I honestly don’t see the point in these events; the hat sets are always hidden in the ToF, which in turn just gives you pigs right away, and even if you can get far without pigs you’re or guaranteed the hats. It’s such an obnoxious way of having an event.

Chucks hat is 2nd from the left in tof.   Of course my auto pick missed it.  Maybe I’ll get lucky, and make it back there.

I picked up Red’s hat on day 1, and everyday since. Got Blue’s on day 2, and everyday since. But right after floor 10, it is usually pig, 20 gems, pig, video, quit. If I have more gems, I’ll pay for the second continue, but it just means a third pig, video, quit.

I got through Round 1 and 2, but that’s it. Round 3 needs more than 2 birds.

What’s the difference between the two types of tickets awarded?

 

The ones for level 1 and 3 appear purple. The latter ones are brown.

The one for finishing level 5 allows you to use either gems or the tickets to play the TOF, with two “play” buttons.

All I know is that if you use tickets to play the TOF, it won’t allow you to watch the video upon hitting a pig, I will just quit if I hit the pig at floor 2, it’s another type of gem sucker.

the other ticket lets you start from a higher floor. i believe the update said floor 20

Every time I use one of those tickets I get a pig on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I don’t even bother playing the hat events any more, it’s just another Rovio cash grab.

4 times now I’ve spent gems and managed to reach level 20 – 4 times I’ve failed to get the third hat – ridiculous.

I got a golden ticket yesterday, that one starts on level 20 right? Used the 2nd reg ular ones and they acted like the gems where you start on level 1. Got 5 birds except for silver/terrance. Is it easy to get to floor 50 if you use the gold ticket?

Since my previous post, I’ve made it to floors 20-30 each day, but still only have Red and Blues. Getting annoying already. I’d rather get spell, pig, quit than be teased like that.

FULL SET today – run to level 60, about 1300 gems up!

First pig on 13 then second in 20s.

Fifth on 59 but used video obviously.

Hit all duplicates and got a new legendary hat at the end.

Easily my best run in 2.5 years!

Typical first time I got Chuck Hat went on then bailed at 23 with another pig used video did not load screen froze lost the lot 170 gems down Grrrrrrrr!

Have complained but not holding out much hope

Got Chuck’s hat, but now no chance on round 3 as I no longer get the ME card which is needed to clear room 2 if you don’t have Terrance or Bomb. Now getting a worthless pig inflator.

I still have only managed 2 hats.  Made it to the 20th for the 2nd time but missed it.  Standard stuff here

FYI, levels 7-9 are all only 6 rooms. I managed to collect the first 5 hats (all except Silver, Terrence) and that was even enough to complete the adventure. (I spent 60 gems on level 7 and 9 for extra birds, though)

ended up with 2 hats.  I made it to the 20th floor twice and missed chuck’s hat both times.  I couldn’t complete complete the 3rd room in the adventure for the worthless free tof ticket.

Does anyone know how often Rovio releases new legendary hat sets and when can we expect one??
