Arena Opponents – How are they selected?

Cognitive, maybe they are on Facebook and getting loads of gifts? I am not on Facebook and don’t know how that works, so very many gifts I could send are wasted and I get none. I would guess that players with names are on Facebook and they not only get gifts but get gems for sending gifts.

I know the crowns and robes are from spending money. I get the offer here and there but just close it.

Closing the app and getting back in to get reasonable opponents doesn’t bother me since at least I have that choice and chance. Patience pays off.

The immortal piglets/micro-pigs are frustrating.

Very informative thread …didn’t know any of this stuff.
So, I attempted to apply my newly found knowledge: Received a much superior opponent, restarted the game, and my winning streak was reset to 0. Arghh!
what did I do wrong?

You did nothing wrong. Since the newest update, Rovio made it so you lose your winning streak if you exit out of the game for a new opponent. However, any arena tickets or free entries will not be lost, as far as I know.

I must admit that I’ve crossed over to the dark side, having used some real $$ to buy fake crystals in order to purchase imaginary spells to help defeat up-leveled opponents that I don’t know, all so I can win fake feathers. Crazy! ?
