The app was up datedon my device too, and it is pretty slow. It also crashes and locks constantly, and I noticed it is no longer possible to access the config menus without the app restarting when tou get back to it. That used to be the most effect way of fixing slowness, which would happen from time to time.

@abgofast glad you gave us a heads up on the bad update. Many people leaving negative reviews on Google Play of not being able to play or losing all progress. Thanks to you I’m still able to play and work towards 200,000 GEs.

App also runs very slow on my device. Slow on initial load to get to main screen. Slow to load single player. Impossible to load multi-player. After trying for last 30 minutes, got the message “service unavailable. servers down for scheduled maintenance”.

Maybe they work on fixing it but given the time of day over in Finland (even though Europe moved clocks back before North America), they’re is no way they have people working on this now. I guess maybe developers / techs here in North America might be on the case.

I was able to play the single player last night successfully and acquired the Spooky Kart. It just seems the rush to get the Halloween update out must have one out…given it’s only a few days away, can’t blame them (plus most of their other Halloween updates came out weeks ago!)

I’m finished the AB Pop! AB Seasons and AB 2 updates that all came out. After my last weekend binge, I’m ready to go racin’ again :)

Multi-player seems to be working this morning (albeit slow for me) but I’ve not bothered to race yet as I’m heading off for my work day.

We’re down a team mate again as JUBANG pulled a trick just before Halloween and left our team (again). He/she returns, I plan to kick them out…even though they have 60 thousand score… I’m tired of mercenary approach. He/she might be a hired gun but I’ve had enough of it.

Also, someone named ABGOFORIT is joined us with 18 thousand score. I kicked him/her out too. Simple reason … rubbed me the wrong way that racer named themselves after our team all so to give the illusion that he/she is responsible for the success! No way … flattery got them no where but out the door … apologies if this was a AB Nest forum member but please identify yourself to me if you plan to do something like that :)

So @corporaldaesn … if you’re still planning at getting back into the game, a spot is open for you right now … might get filled by another but given all the problems now on both operating systems with those that updated the game, now is great time to join as I think very few of us are active till the technical problems resolved

@abgofast Surprisingly, the Halloween update came out for iOS as well. Not surprisingly, it doesn’t work. It crashes at startup EVERY time on iPad Mini 4. On iPhone 6, I actually got to race 1 race today. Now it’s back to the usual “you need to be online” crap. As bad as I hate to, I guess I’ll put a ticket in with Rovio. My previous 2 experiences with them resulted in the loss of thousands of GEs and several hundred trophies. Wish me luck!

@abgofast, I asked myself a question concerning karts.
On my driving licence, it is written that I possess 20/67.
However, when I count the karts of 5 worlds, there is there only 41 and I possess only 16.

What is this difference with the licence ?

I unlock the new kart. I improved it at the most. The game crashed. I launch again : any new kart. WTF ?

@grimmjow – long time since we connected. Hope all is well for you. Near as I could figure out, the kart total on the drivers license includes the old karts before you max them out. For example, L4 karts started with a base model then when you got them powered up half way they changed appearance and name then when fully upgraded they change appearance and name again. I think Rovio counts all 3 of them in the 67 but doesnt give guys like us credit for having max’d out this karts. I think because we achieved this result before multiplayer drivers license existed so the program only counts your current kart inventory. I wonderif you started from beginning and achieved all karts, the license would count them. I wont know cause i wont start over on a new account. In the end, I am completely guessing on why the drivers license count is different than the actual kart counts in the garage.

Edit: Seems I too have lost my max’d out Spooky kart. What a joke Rovio! Get your act together before releasing updates to this game!!!

@grimmjow @abgofast – my driving license says I have 32 of 70 karts, but in real it is 17 of 38 only (I’ve lost a few cars after last year’s Xmas update). And lol – my fully upgraded Spooky kart is gone too. :)

Seems I can get everything to work on the new update except the team multiplayer … which of course is what I want to use the most !

New motivation … it appears the VUKS and NASTYDUDES might have merged together … Team VUKS is now at 931,530 and Team NASTYDUDES doesn’t appear in the top 10 anymore so I’m jumping to this conclusion.

Team ABGOFORIT holds the lead at 966,386 but number one rank is in the most jeopardy in recent memory :)

With what I guess is a recent shuffling of racers, ABGOFORIT now has “WOMABLID” and the 35,732. If he/she leaves the team, the #1 and #2 team rankings will change!

I wish I could race to see the new VUKS team but hopefully will get idea of it from the guys I’ve included on the post

Anyone able to get team multiplayer to work since the Halloween update?

@abgofast I have been able to race multiplayer but I haven’t gone to the new Halloween update yet. The caveat is that the app crashes many times at startup. I usually have to go through a trial and error of constantly restarting the app, force stopping the app, clearing the memory cache, and restarting my phone. Usually after 5-10 minutes of this I can finally get through to the main screen and from then on everything works great…until the next day then I have to repeat it all over again (I try not to actually exit/close the app but leave it running in the background so I don’t have to start it up again)

Yes it appears NASTYDUDES has broken up from what I can tell and several of their players joined VUKS. Below is the makeup of their team with GE counts:

Hello together!

To end this guessing about NastyDudes and who joined VUKS – Yes some former team members of the Nasty’s have changed the boat and sailing now for Vuks.
As @phoenix6 mentioned it, Envicaar, Dredd, SuperSic58 and myself have joined VUKs and I think all together we form a strong team coalition to fight against Abgofast for first place.
We did not have a very active captain at NastyDudes and so we decided to move on.
It was a good and challenging task to get members like SuperSic58 to join us, only with 10 characters left to communicate :-)
It is nice to see former team members like @bluebear and Nikos driving for VUKs – almost like family reunion :-)

@phoenix6 The reason of changing my name so often is purely to communicate. I know Dredd for a long time now and it is just nice to communicate with him – I guess that’s all about multiplayer games ;-)
But my real game play name is ‘Teddy’ – in the forum NastyTeddy ;-)

I was thinking as well to join Abgofast –
but what is the point of a racing game if one team is leading few hundred thousands of points ahead with no rivals :-) It is boring like Formula 1 .. :-)
For me it feels better to race and fight close to each other, then one team dominating.

I am very disappointed with Rovio / and there support. The last android update just spoiled the game completely.. crashes and no chance to play at all. I sometimes manage to
go to the team page (and at leas to chance my name), but then when I try to start a race it will all times get connection timeouts. Have reinstalled the former version from my Titanium Backup,
but even that did not help to race (timeouts).
I have contacted Rovio support but this was useless time so far…

Interesting finding after Halloween update with return of cupcakes – previously there was no problem to take the points in 8 races out of 10, and now I am happy when I take the points in 2 races. :(

hi captain, long time passed. I installed the Halloween update to give my feedback. Unfortunately the multiplayer mode is impossible also for me due to the usual “no internet connection” crap…
I personally didn’t lose any of my karts, progress, coins or gems, BUT I lost the spooky kart after acquiring it. In my case, when restarting the game yesterday I found that the kart was gone and completely missing from my Seedway list. I read in the Google store comments of other players experiencing the same problem. Then, today I noted that the pumpkins count was again there around 700 and my challenge count was back to 3 before as if I had never achieved them and went back to the past. Of course everything was reset to the time when I got to around 700 pumpkins: not only the challenges count, but also the gems, coins and I was offered again the daily challenge that I had already won and the weekly challenge that I had already won as well.
Well, I won again the spooky kart and with disappointment I noted it has already disappeared! For the time being the challenge count has not yet reset, but it’s weird indeed and another sign of crappy programming from the Rovio developers.
Have you experienced any of this with the new update?

@alcusto. … experienced the same situation this morning. Rovio even wrote answer to my ticket to restore progress before the adding of the spooky kart so I could get it again. I did and lost it again as soon as I closed the app. It then reset me to 700 pumpkins splat. I left it this way and head to work. I will see later tonight if worth finishing the challenge or wait for rovio support to answer me.

They blamed my device age and wifi signal for why multiplayer doesnt work. I told them to read this forum and Google play comments cause it must mean everyone device is old and wifi signal crap! I am so close to deleting the rest of Rovio games. In last month I have deleted Transformers, Stella, Bad Piggies, Epic and Fight because of garbage updates.

@abgofast Rovio blamed my problems on having “restrictions” being enabled. Wrong. Also said that I evidently had “Multiplayer Games” turned off in the Game Center. Wrong again.

I sent my reply with a few choice words, so I may never get to race again. With all of the time I’ve invested into this game, I hate to lose it and the friendships that I’ve gained here, but I’m not gonna take much more of this…

This morning, Rovio reset my account so I could go after the Spooky Kart. I got it, max’ed out the attributes and then once again the kart disappeared from availability to us. When I went back to game, it reset me to 1 race before I got the kart. Now I try to complete that race and at the end of it, the game crashes while freezing my device.

On the plus side, I’ve noticed that the weekly tournament now shows all my FB friends on both iOS and Android. This means more competition for the podium … Again, last night, I realized this and had to do some fancy driving to take the Gold #1 spot. Seems my effort was in vain cause Rovio support reset my account to before the weekend! I ended up 3rd and got a sexy King Sling for my reward (yeehaw…it went into inventory with the other 35 I already got from multiplayer trophy wins)

I’m at least intrigued that we can have fun in the tournament as we wait for results of this WORST UPDATE EVER to get resolved. Anyone not a FB friend of mine that wants can send me a private message on the site and I’ll share how to find me there.

Any news regarding Android update and multiplayer? The support does not even answer
me anymore and I am really pissed off. How can it be possible if they experienced the same
issues with the IOS update and release the software with the same bugs on Android 2 weeks later. Quality control at it’s best…

The game is unplayable since the update and I am sure most android devices show the same behavior.

I tried to install the former version, but I run into timeouts every time I try to start
a multiplayer game.
