The fruit bar in 40s on Stunt track #3 is definitely one of the most difficult and frustrating challenges of the game. Although I’m also currently stuck on it, I think it is doable because in my best try I managed to remove the fruit bar in 42s.
You must use the fastest possible kart (Hog Rod maxed out for me) and all PUs and use Hal’s tornado every time possible but timing every unleash in a way that you don’t miss the next group of fruits.
You must use the King sling start half way stretch in order to avoid hitting the ceiling. I found out that if you time and control correctly the start, the kart flies all the way down to the 1st group of fruits without spending a single second!!!

The problem is that by using the fastest kart with all PUs it becomes really hard to control it and avoid crashing.
The key is really to have a PERFECT drive without any single crash and time well all Hal’s tornadoes. If everything ok you should manage to arrive at the waterfall with about 10 secs left. That is where I think I missed the challenge because I arrived so fast that I missed a few fruits in the landing after the waterfall.

The biggest problem of this challenge is that it is heavily gem demanding. If you skip it I pretty much believe that after about 10 challenges you will re-encounter it, so I’m not sure that skipping is the best solution.

Hey everyone! Without deciding on the next team mission for ABGOFORIT and this recent talk and return to single racer challenges, I went for my own mission today

I hit that not-so-secret goal of mine to collect enough “free gems” through multi- player racing, daily events, weekly tourney winnings and video watching. So, today, I decided to “unlock” my single player challenge progress. I was previously stopped on 41 of 42 track & race types combos with the “use all power ups for 3 races” challenge aka most costly challenge in the game.

As I started, I used up my power up inventory collected from multi-player. Then used up my daily available “free” power ups from video watching. Finally, a great deal of my gem inventory disappeared as I progressed. 5,730 of my 5,800 gems.

If I used only gems, it would have cost 6,300 gems (14 tracks * 3 race types * 3 races each * 50 gems for all 4 power ups)

At the end of the day, no “real” money was used but my inventory gems is down to a pathetic count of 70 now. From day one when “new” multiplayer came out, I had mentioned my goal was to use all gems collected to ‘someday’ unlock these single player challenges again “for free”.

So “personal mission accomplished” 41 of 42 track & race types are “unlocked”.

I now have decision to balance my desire for 150,000 Multi-player Golden Eggs with advancing further in challenges completed to say 2,500.

@abgofast ~ That’s great, captain! Now to met your new goal I imagine that the biggest obstacle will be that “cute” requirement of 7 King Slings to pass a challenge on every one of your 41 track/race track combinations you “unlocked” today. If you use the ad-sponsored only it will take you 41 days…
(+@alcusto) ~ Also, many thanks for the tips on the Stunt challenges. It kind of stuns me that with over 1100 done I still have so much to learn. But that’s what keeps me interested. Anyway, you, my buddies are essential for my progress because you are my last resource. Without your help I would probably get stuck somewhere and eventually give it all up. So a really BIG THANK YOU to @all that have been helping me.

@BlueBear ~ Hi! You probably aren’t aware of it but I raced against you many times in single mp. And you are very hard to beat, buddy! Specially when your ghost uses p-ups and several sp. But don’t get me wrong for stating it. The great majority of the top players use them.
Also, great that you didn’t loose your eggs. That never happened to me but mine got scrambled a coup!e of times in the past. That’s not nice, too…

@jorge-freeman-1 … oh…thanks for the reminder about the other dreadful “gem intensive” challenge. Stupid King Slings 7 times in a row. Good news on that front is I seem to collect these with as my prize on multiplayer after getting 5 trophies. So hope my inventory grows quickly ;)
If you’re bored someday … search this forum for “the ten challenge loop” …. I document on these pages that at least for Seedway you can expect to see the same challenges after completing 9 unique ones. It also applies to Rocky. I assume it applies to all tracks but haven’t really gone that far to document it. Rovio got lazy or couldn’t think of enough challenges that they’re on a repeatable loop…every ten race challenges you get the same list of 3 to complete.

I am very pleased to inform that I finally conquered the dreadful fruit bar in 40s on Stunt track #3. In order to do so, I used the Hog Rod, Hal, all 4 PUs and 6 SP!

Wow! Epic ride to achieve it my friend … the force is strong in this one :)

6 SP = 18 gems plus 150 gems for all PUs. This is the most expensive one to conquer without use of “free gem / free power up” stuff so will have to wait till the videos kick in to give me the PUs and I build up my gems bank again before giving this a try.

There are not may “firsts” left to do in this game … @alcusto … you’ve achieved one of the most impressive ones … epic ride from an epic driver! First to remove Stunt Track #3 Fruit bar in less than 40 seconds

Thank you Captain! To be called “epic” driver by the most epic driver of all is really an honour for me.
In any event, the total amount of gems used was 65 not 168. In fact, one of the 6 SP is the initial free one and the PUs are for a single race, so 50 not 150. But yes this is an epic challenge to conquer because even when using all PUs and 6 SPs you don’t have any guarantee of success. There are many pieces of the puzzle which must go perfect:
– the king sling start to go as close to the ceiling as possible in order to bypass the whole starting descent but without hitting the ceiling
– all SPs unleashed at the right time in order not to lose any fruit at all up to the waterfall
– a perfect drive in order to arrive at the waterfall with at least 10s left

It was a wicked mind that designed this one, but it gives you so much happiness when you pass it that sometimes you like these challenges to be there.

I’ve been multiplying everything by 3 all day long …after 41 challenges of “use all power ups 3 races” … my brain is mush! yes…the 4 PUs cost 50 gems per race not 150 :) still … I have a feeling it could take me AT LEAST 3 tries on this one given your description of “the perfect aka epic drive”

Anyone else not able to get to multiplayer screen? I click the multiplayer button and the screen just shows the background. The team board like @corporaldaes picture above doesn’t show up for me. The things go back to the main menu / title page (3 buttons – “early bird”, “single player”, “multiplayer”.

Fluke or not, this has happened 2 days now since I started playing challenges again…

Uh-oh @abgofast that sounds like the problem I had…couldn’t get to the multiplayer page. Page shifted right to just the background then shifted back left to the main page with the three buttons. I’ve been able to play fine today. Wish I had better news.

@phoenix6 … I was worried you’d tell me this news … I’ll open a ticket with Rovio support and in meantime, uninstall and reinstall the game. I might have to remove my super awesome ‘Eye of the Packers’ picture from Facebook then :(((

@abgofast Hey mate, I had the same problem in december, 2014. I had to change the name of my rovio account to have a new driver license (in the version 1.5.2 was impossible to change the driver licence). I thimk the facebook avatar is causing problems with the multiplayer.

@abgofast ~ What you describe is what happens to me if I try to acres mp being offline. But of course you aren’t offline since you are writing here in the forum.
EDIT: It seems the problem is a known one. I hope you’ll solve it fast…

@alcusto ~ I’m really impressed by your conquest of the hardest but doable achievement. Captain says he would need 3 tries to do it. To me, at least 30… So I’ll leave it undone for awhile.
And you made me wish I weren’t so lazy to write. I intended to comp!aint to CS about that challenge using as argument the fact that even the biggest specialists cannot do it. But no longer…
Captain must have been impressed too! He even named it a “may first”!…

The multiplayer is now unfair for my team because all the races we are matched with team SVEECZKYONE, all the racers use multiple power ups. My teammates almost dont use them and I dont have so much money to spend in power ups. Im very upset now.

I have a Rovio ticket open now as I think it is this Facebook avatar nonsense all of a sudden interfering with my multi-player access … guess they didn’t fix this on version 1.7.0 after all!

I tried uninstall and re-install the game. No luck. It must be Rovio account conflicting with Facebook Avatar and not loading correctly so Multiplayer is hung up

Guess I’m not going to progress much on multiplayer for a bit. I hope I don’t have to wait as long as @phoenix6 did given this is a known issue now with Rovio

@abgofast yes I hope yours gets resolved quicker than mine did. My ticket for that issue was #1107271 if you thought it would help to reference it. It took a couple back and forths between myself and Nadir before I felt like he really understood what I was describing.

Did we lose you @oldschool? New player at bottom of rankings is LAPISLAZUI. To make things worse captain is out of commission to boot them from the team and let @oldschool rejoin.

I am back. Things are working now. Rovio didnt respond to me yet so i guess this is like @janmej bug.

Did we lose @oldschool by accident or has he left us permanently?

@corporaldaesn… we might have a spot for you on our team. It wont help with you frustration of racing Sveezkyone. We also get them all the time. Power up and multiple special powers. I am not sure if they’re using a hack to always have these available or Rovio simply uses their best result over and over

Was going to say new guy would’ve added a whole new level of difficulty to multiplayer.

Luckily it didn’t hurt us this time and you were able to clear them out of the team before I had to race with them again.
