    Looked into that RAM business @ixan57. Both my devices have 2 GB RAM so should be able to cope with angry birds. I shall go to my reset position and blame Rovio for everything, including the war in Ukraine.

    Not sure how smart switch would help. I can transfer apps to new devices but can't save the progress. I do have a decent hard drive with plenty of space but I'm assuming you need a fully functional pc to run a programme to transfer progress from android to hard drive? You can't just plug your phone into the HD?

    Speaking of wars, remember the Cod War? I think it was a dispute between Iceland and Findus. Capt. Bird's-eye tried acting as a mediator and got a black eye when a frozen cripy pancake was launched across the room. Happy days. Now we have a Cold War that has been put in the oven and set to thermonuclear. Happy days.

    Speaking of wars (well there's not much else to talk about) if the rocketing price of potatoes doesn't put a stop to it nothing will. Next time I hear that Day-Glo orange old fart David Dickinson say "Cheap as chips" I may put my foot through the telly. And if anyone suggests I have violent tendencies I'll batter them. (price of fish going up as well).

    @hunnybunny, @BrianN, I’ve kept playing ABF and watched out for any now Rovio flingers and tried them all (left some topics in general discussions) so it was only ab2 I quit. I started again because one grandson started playing regular so it was a way to do something with him. (Yes I’m another of the “old” crowd lol, the grandson is an adult!). I had mostly three starred all the 7 games that were so big so considered them finished. Played pig challenge until they shut it down. Only missed 3 starring a few levels in space and sw1 & 2.

    Also working my way out of my hermit shell lately so I’ve been joining things here and there to connect with people.

    @grammyk The Lurkers Lounge is a comfortable, friendly area where you can choose your favorite sitting area, order whatever you desire from the bar and the kitchen, occasionally join in the conversation in the main BP and play AB games either individually or in concert with others. It does get a bit more ..intense?..exciting?..unpredictable!..when Tom Hanks shows up.

    @desparatedan, what do you mean? 7.5 years? Is that my last prior post in here? I have many posts in ab2, ABF, general. With just the two year gap. With a couple non ab2 posts in the gap.

    I didn’t hang here much before as I’m not able to do the role play aspect that got to be the big thing, ordering drinks, etc.

    And I’m actually not able to understand much of the current conversations lol.

    But I did want to connect and reconnect with people on this site so I figured I’d drop in.

    This site used to be a huge deal. @karen68, @terribletom, @hunnybunny, @mvnla2, @kathy, @angermanagement, @sweetp can all attest to how many improvements Rovio made to their games came directly from ideas and campaigning of the people here. There, I’ve mentioned all my old friends and acquaintances from before that I see are still active lol.

Barrie author of Peter pan was born and I'm sure you have heard of the "ball of Kirriemuir" Not a uncivilised part of the country as you thought.     I'm back from a 2day all expenses paid trip to the Lurkers Lounge (luxury quarters-no riff raff). Won second prize in a raffle, first prize was 1 day.

    @briann I definitely will be trying the new classic. I am not an “I won’t spend money on a game” person. I have a limited budget but I spend enough to add a bit more fun (eg gem letter in ab2) and to show my support. I never spent money on ABF but that’s because I’m happy just playing new levels 3 times a week and not getting up in the leagues. So once in a while I use accumulated powerups to win coins.

    Yes, I can be very chatty lol. It’s more my disabilities which keep me quite isolated from physical people contact and my dislike/fear/? of online things which keep me away from communicating with online people.

    I recently got a new tablet as my iPad is 6 years old and I decided my gaming identity would go out there and participate while my reality is safe on the other tablet.
