Bad Piggies Weekend Challenge RECAP – You See? I Saw!

Bad Piggies Teeter Totter Weekend Challenge 18 Oct 2014

You “See” what I did last night?
Oh yeah – I “Saw” what you did the other day.
Hahahaha! See Saw, geddit?

This Weekend Challenge, trade in your Yee Haw for a See Saw for the King Pig desires a new addition to his Royal Playground! Vámonos amigos, El Puerco is not known for his patience!

As you can see from the wee little demonstration video below, we decided to go with full metal construction and multiple redundant ground tethers for good reason – the King Pig’s incredible bulk would break anything lesser!

Did you make a See Saw for a Yee Haw last weekend? Our fan HankOnFood.com surely did (and don’t call me Shirley), and he has a much simpler and overall less “Vorsprung Durch Technik” solution to creating a teeter totter!

A teeter totter that can also be used as transporkation? Someone patent this thing!

If you missed out on the Weekend Challenge, we don’t blame you. Maybe were you busy tracking Hambo’s epig Indiana Jones style tomb raiding, fridge busting adventure?

    I bet a triangle block would be perfect for a fulcrum, but sadly there isn’t one…

    I tried simpler tilting block or bending frame designs but they either do not have the required flexibility, are too bulky or just don’t stay in place. So, using elastic tethers is the way to go!

    @les-toreadors Can I play too? :)

    I found a laminated plank with a nice distribution of TNT gave the required balance of rigid and flexy.

    Oh, I know it’s completely off-piggytopic, but here’s how I amused myself this weekend. Apparently, I have no life. Who knew?

    Omg these are fun. and who would have thought laminated TNTs are construction material? It’s almost as fun as magnesium alloys :)

    @les-toreadors They are fun :) Material considerations aside, that’s why I added the TNT, so I wouldn’t get carried away and accidenti-record a 20-minute video of piggies bouncing around.

    I am prone to that sort of thing. TNT keeps me honest.
