Rovio, Apple, and WWF are working together to protect life on our planet. From now until April 24, WWF will receive 100% of the proceeds from your purchase of the WWF Pack in the shop. As part of the update there is also a special level and spell available, which is shown in the video below. Per Rovio, “If you don’t see them, just keep playing! They unlock after level 10 (special level) and 13 (spell).”
First Look
This greedy piggy has actually found something he’s good at! Unfortunately, he does it a little TOO well…
As it turns out, we humans also need a little help when it comes to overfishing. That’s why Rovio, Apple, and WWF are working together to protect life on our planet. From now until April 24, WWF will receive 100 per cent of the proceeds from the in-app purchase of the WWF Pack in the Angry Birds 2 shop.
Angry Birds 2 is also supporting WWF’s conservation work with special content that highlights ocean protection – one of WWF’s key focus areas. The game now features a special spell and a new themed level where the furious flock square off against overfishing pigs.
So get playing, fling some birds, and protect our oceans! The earth – and the birds – will thank you.
WAIT a minute…This is iOS only? This sucks…
@datguygamer
As you can see in the description. “Rovio team up with APPLE and WWF… That means, they team up with Apple.. So. For android users, ?…
I like how Android users are just left out. Well, that means I am not paying for anything and that’s good.
This kind of thing made me hate Apple products… It’s so expensive
What’s the point if most people can’t participate? (ANDROID users)
Just after a quick search for market share between the two leaders… Android covers around 80%, and iOS just under 19%
I agree with you.. .targeting a smaller audience to try to make a large impact, just makes you want to go… hmmmmm
As a marketing ploy, if someone shows me an Angry Birds level on iOS, and says you can play this level, and save the planet by buying an iPhone.. not gonna happen.
I hope they release something exclusive to android as a bobby prize
It’s so stupid when Rovio creates a “Apple update” doing any important for causes as AIDS or WWF and not release it on Google Play. Who wants to help some cause with iaps wants money but when you put only on iOS devices you lose money from other market. Who wants to help don’t do it. It’s just my point view.
not just Angry Birds 2 is supporting WWF- other popular games such as Candy Crush and Cut the Rope 2 are joining into the campaign to protect the planet!
This is a great effort to support WWF. Nice work at play.
i agree great support but i wish it wasn’t not on AB2 only, which i don’t play
