Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Path of the Jedi level J-9 is to target the stand-in Vader directly. The large blocks will fall onto the laser, forcing it to shoot at the level instead of your birds. If needed, call in Han for backup.

You could also just bump against the laser with Luke (don’t use the light saber, just bump against it) so that it starts rotating and moving to the right – it will likely finish the job for you. A bit lame, but it yielded me a score of 92k. ;-)
Not lame at all 94,200 with your method!!
I got 97880 with this strat.
Sweet, got me to 94k, thanks!
I agree – the bowling ball technique works really well! But doesn’t the game get annoyed with you, after a few flings of Luke without triggering the light sabre you get the reminder video of how to use it “properly”. Naughty me/us!!
That’s the most annoying part of SW. OK, ONE reminder would be OK but every time you use the “bloated bird” technique more than once in a row?
This worked great for me. Improved my score by 7,000 using the BB method, and no annoying pop-ups!
I have avoided that by using the light sabre as soon as I launch. The trajectory is the same, but no silly reminder!
Lol @karen68 me too!!! Couldn’t figure out what the heck i was hitting..to trigger that pop-up
Ty @bikkit for clearing that up:)
@bikkit So that’s why that kept popping up – I thought I was tapping something by mistake, although I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what. And I agree, I had more success in clearing the level by bumping the laser to the right. I found it better to nudge it rather than hit it head on, too much force & it tended to go flying into the upper right TNT & being destroyed before it could do its work.
I think we’ve all come to the conclusion that:
1) The Luke reminder sucks when we intentionally bloat him; and
2) The key to getting a lot of points on this level is all about the nudge and roll.
Please, @Kartflyer, tell us how you got that 100k?
Lol @bikket thanks for the info!! I was getting really annoyed trying to figure out Why and How I kept hitting the pop up!! Good to know I’m not totally losing it!! ;D
Between the Stupid, Idiotic and senseless Pop up showing what to do with Luke, and the laser’s misgivings, I have truly gone insane.
Not sure I would recommend this, since it was a happy accident, but it did get me 95570. I was trying the bowling ball technique for the upteenth time, and as so often I missed, but I swiped the green light-saber anyway, which dropped the blocks on the laser ball, pushing it into the left-most stone pillar. But unlike all the other times this happened, the pillar tilted to the left and rolled the ball to the right so it ended up taking everything out. The moral of this story is that if you miss the laser-ball with your first shot, you may as well activate the saber and see what happens.
@Kartflyer — Congrats! You’re still in 1st place. Any additional hints?
97,380 exactly like video (after many many many low scoring tries with the bowling ball method). Thank you Angry Bird’s Nest – you saved me from throwing my iPad through the window.
I guess I should add that I activated the light sabre when Luke landed on the pillar which caused him to bounce into the rightmost TNT and add tothe destruction. Couldn’t tell for sure if the video version used the sabre.
I think I have a decent solution. Aim Luke for the top left corner of the thick horizontal stone on the top of the leftmost column. About halfway through his flight, activate the light sabre so that the swing is completed just before he hits the stone. This serves to prevent the dreaded scolding instruction appearing on subsequent attempts but it also slows Luke down a bit reducing his force when he hits the stone.
The concussion with the stone block jars Vader and causes the three suspended stones to fall and move the laser as we want. The benefit of this approach is a bit more control over the direction in which the laser will fire. There is still a fair bit of luck involved but I have scored more than 95K several times with this method, including my current score of 98K. Still trying for 100. :-)
Great method. Took several tries, but did feel like their was more of the laser. Increased my score by 6000. Thanks!
truly spectacular!! got me 98k! and jedi addict, thanks a trillion!!
So THAT’S how you did it @angryperson! I will have to thank you in advance @bob0!
You’re welcome, all! It’s nice to be able to give something back here. Cheers!
Thanks @Bob0! Your method gave me my highest score. I tried some others but yours is by far the easiest. I’ll have to revisit this level and see if I can get my score up.
Super strat – Thanks
@Bob0 – I realize this is almost a month later but I wanted to thank you for this (not “decent” but great!) solution. This was one I’d noted to go back to and weeks later picked it up this morning and improved 4k with my second try and another 6k over that four shots later. To current third on the leaderboard. Sometimes it really does help to put it down for a while and let it rest.
I’d like to give you my own personal “You Da Man!” badge!
:-D
Glad you have been so successful with it. I applaud you. I have tried for hours to improve my score and break 100K with this method the method @bird-tester just posted today. More than 50 people have scores higher than mine. There must either be a refinement in the strategy or else we chalk it up to the luck of the bounce.
Cheers,
Bob
*Finally*! 100640
Thanks so much – your strategy got me my Score Addict without having to replay J-35, which I dreaded.
For me – fastest rise with @bob0 method from 65 to 81K (3* rised? I don’t remember.). Next improve and stop at 88K :(.
After it I tryed to lightly hit under Fire Ball and over it. Followed by another solution: Basketball ;). Light touch FB from top side AND Luke dribbled to Vader. MANY times FB will finished with under Top Rock position. This gives me one kilo more -> 89K twice (30 point of difference).
Actual score 98K+ I earned another, very simple way. Arc Luke to go under Fire Ball and “miss it” a bit. Then lightsabred Vaders Tower. That’s all for now.
@bob0, thanks for this strat. It works fine, thanks. With this strat the word ‘persistency’ as we all need to play AB is king here. Try, try again, and so on. Your score keeps going up.
You’re most welcome. Happy flinging.
Oops, almost beated you, thanks again
;-) Keep at it! @bernersenn
Thanks, @bob0! I’m nowhere near you guys, but at least this strategy finally got me from 88K to just over 91K. I’ll take the improvement!
Great Strat @bob0 !!!! Ty for sharing.. :) i actually did that by accident at one point..but just restarted immediaety chalking it up to misfire grumbling at myself..if if only looked here i could have saved myself hours of frustration lol:) thanks again:)
My pleasure, @Kathy — did it help?
Lol @bob0 did it help…hahaha and your a comedian hee hee
It helped TREMENDOUSLY !!!! :) gained 7k and got above average:):)
pop into the bloated pig someday ( in the forum) drinks on my tab..tell anyone who’s there:)) ty again!!
Been there for happy hour. Only way to afford the Lagavulin.
Cheers….
@bob0 that was brilliant!! Thank you!! :)
You are most welcome. Did it move you up to your present score?
The above was to @kimmiecv . I keep forgetting to include usernames in these posts.
Lol @bob0 IKR! When I just started up I always forgot the @ so I understand! And YEP!! Got me almost 3k more!! Your the bomb!! So simple yet so nery effective was your strat!! Just brilliant! Thank you for sharing with the rest of us nesters!! :) Pop into BP more often and you’ll have an ongoing tab to drink whatever you want cause I’m letting OB know I owe you at least 3!! ;D
Yes!! @bob0 :) it helped second time around even !!!
Worked for me! Thanks!
What a very creative solution @Bob0! I’m still working on it, but I can see that this strategy has a lot of potential… thank you for sharing!
Happy to share it. It works!
97830/1
many thx to @bob0 for the great strat and point
here my video:
https://youtu.be/KGjVgS8wod8
You’re welcome. Wow, it has been many years since I played here.
Glad it helped and that I was able to contribute, @junkenmetel
Thanks @Bob0 I used your strat to get the current high score.
Nice job!
3/4 speed trajectory, intersecting the left end, near the bottom, of the first horizontal glass beam. A good aiming point when zoomed all the way in is the bend in the vine that protrudes from the second big tree. swing very slightly after impact. If you swing too early you’ll just pass through and cause a total collapse of the left end. you don’t want to destroy the horizontal wooden beam below the laser, but you want to destroy the glass beam with the tip of the light saber.
The goal is to have the right side of the horizontal wooden beam, as the left side collapses, tip up and hit the laser.
This strat requires pinpoint accuracy, speed control, good timing with the light saber and a bit of luck, but I think less than the video strat. I tried it after MANY attempts of the video strat, and then more with the other one above by Pydziac. I got tired of the bottom left pig being the sole survivor. This way at least he won’t sit there smirking at me after everything else has collapsed. The best I have gotten is 80,100.
Fairly repeatable. High arc coming down the left side of the laser.
activate your light saber after brushing the laser and take out all the pigs on the left
and also racking up points with the saber on the wood.
let the spinning laser take care the rest. between 89 and 93k, potential for higher.
Aiming point: on the big tree by the launcher, the right-hand side, there’s a vine that
comes out starting with a narrow gap going to gradually wider until it bends at the
bottom to reconnect to the trunk. Aim for the top narrow part where it first separates
from the trunk
@sweetp I accidentally mistyped my improved score on today’s Challenge. I followed @comex666 ‘s and got 100k (not 108k!). Sorry. :(
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. But, looks like you were able to correct it anyway!
Happy Flinging :)
