Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Path of the Jedi level J-37 is to push the laser toward the base of the main structure, eventually causing the TNT within to detonate. If needed, use Obi-Wan to push the suspended stone blocks rightward using the Force, popping any pigs on the right side.

Fine-tuning the walkthrough, hit it on slightly off-center on the underside, trying to get it to rotate and blast the back TNT first and end up slowly rotating and blasting away at the main structure. 1 bird, 71120
The difference between giving it a nudge and blasting it out of the sky is measured in micro-pixels. I went with nudging the bottom but also got decent score over the top.
I made fire ball rotate, Obi did the rest. Low score but first 3*.
74700 on a 1-birder, :D
I am rarely able to get Luke to directly push the laser ball without destroying it. This time, it worked like a charm!
This becomes a classic 1-Birder, all, thanks to the laser.
Woooooooo – how fluky was that!!!
@bikkit @yuriyigolkin — Any extra tips for getting a really high score? Yuriyrgolkin — I watched your video, but unless I’m looking at the wrong one, it doesn’t even get above average.
@all — Does anyone know of a video that is above average? So far I’ve watched 3 on YouTube, and none of them got to average.
This level is truly going to get me certified (as in loony bin).
@mvnla2 It’s no extra tips. Do that just like in video. Aim just above the lazer ball center. You will need a lot of attempts to get the highest score.
I don’t know about monkeys typing Shakespeare, but i think if there were an infinite number of firing orbs in this level all of them would consistently fIre in the opposite direction of the structure every time!!:(:(
No matter where i hit it always turns the wrong way..wwhhiinnee
Hi @mvnla2 as @yuriyigolkin says there’s no magic for this level (or many other Jedi levels) Do you know the statistical tale about having an infinite number of monkeys in a room with an infinite number of typewriters? Eventually they will type out the complete works of Shakespeare.
Same on this level I’m afraid!
Just keep at it and it’ll happen. Sorry to be the bearer of “bad” news, but I sincerely wish you the best of luck. Because luck is the main element!
Thanks for the tips @karen68..this is soooo not happening for me..trying to get in to the top 100 club they are accepting my application for membership..even though i am Pig Leader lol..hee hee
I don’t want to think of all the hours I spent on this level, coming back to it day after day.
@mvnla2 I found hitting the left underside the best spot. When aiming at the laser (this is zoomed out on ipad) the tracking path passes through the top of a light-coloured gap between a tree & I guess a vine in the background. Near the top of the vine there is actually a patch of vine coloured slightly darker, if you aim through this you should get in approximately the right spot. The laser needs to rotate to face the other way, ideally blowing the top TNT before getting knocked around to rotate back & moving across to destroy the bottom. You need to take down the hanging planks as well for points, hopefully not killing the laser in the process. If you’re really lucky you get some help from laser shot ricochets too. Easy, right? (ha ha)
I wish there was a magic trick but I know I flung hundreds & hundreds of birds before getting my current score. Good luck.
Thanks all for the advice, especially @karen68. I was able to get JA without being above average on this level. Will come back sometime, I think. Still have a lot of levels below average in other ABSW episodes.
@karen68 — Did you mean zoomed in or out. To me zoomed out you are viewing scene as small as possible, zoomed in is as large as possible.
@all — Has anyone else noticed that the [insert favorite adjective] laser ball sometimes actually moves a small amount right after level starts?
@mvnla2 zoomed out, so it’s small, you can see the entire scene.
I could come up with a lovely adjective list. :)
@karen68 — Thanks. Managed to reduce PotJ levels below average to 2, but not this one, which is the worst. The most diabolical thing about this level is that you need to hit one pixel on the laser ball with one pixel on Luke. Talk about next to impossible.
@karen68 @yuriyigolkin There is hope after all (at least a glimmer of a silver lining. I was at 65960, and futilely flinging for a 1 birder. Amazingly, I got to 65960 with TWO!!! birds: a pretty good first bird and Obi Wan. Unlike Karen, I play fully zoomed in. Immediately to the left of that […] laser ball, and just beyond the tree edge, there are a bunch of vines. At 9:30 or 10 relative to ball there is a long vertical gap between 2 vines (~2 ball diameters). At lower end of this is a point where vines cross. I aimed at this (which might be same as what Karen was suggesting). Depending on which pixel on Luke hits which pixel on the laser ball, this can cause a fair amount of spinning and take out hanging blocks and upper-right pig and TNT (also some of the lower stuff). Do not despair if you don’t get a one-birder. Aim Obi Wan at lower left “vertical” wood plank and let penetrate a ways before activating upward. I lucked out and got an above average score.
Congrats @mvnla2, you finally got above average! I tried it your way zoomed in & it looks like pretty much the same path & trajectory I was using. And that’s a great 2-bird score, I never got close to that with 2. I needed a lot of time & a lot of luck on this one. Well done!
Try to push the laser ball to the right towards the pocket. With luck the laser ball clears everthing on the level except a little debris. Reached over 70k this way. Feels like playing pool.
I know you guys are gonna be jealous, but I got 69K with one bird…. didn’t even take that long!
The far right TNT is necessary, but not the front one. That left side TNT wasn’t blown up and I still got that score!
Thanks to all of you! This put me with 3000 points left for Jedi addict!
And with improvement to this level’s score, I made it there. Woohoo! Now where do I submit my scores?
@all While endlessly flinging on this level, I figured out that you can quickly get rid of that blasted instructional video of how to use Luke with a double tap as soon as it appears.
Now that IS helpful! Thanks
Thank. You. Very. Much.
Just in case people still don’t know how to Not get the instructional screen, just activate the saber right out of the sling and not only will the screen not show up after every repeat but it can sometimes slow Luke down which helps in how hard Luke hits the lazer ball.
Tried aiming Luke both at top of the blaster and at the bottom. Didn’t notice any appreciable difference in scores but it felt like going low offered more promise because the blaster stayed higher and might keep blasting longer.
I then started aiming at the center of the blaster, and once hit it oh so slightly below center. The blaster slowly flew over the structure chopping everything eventually sending ricochets up into the upper right pig and TNT. I don’t think there was much if anything left to blast. Call it “L” but after hundreds of attempts everything just seemed to go right.
This is one of those levels where luck seem to trump skill and strategy :-(
I wish I knew what I did differently to go from my best 2-birder of 66100 to a 1-birder for 75510 on my Android phone.
I’d generally been aiming to hit the Orb ( I don’t know proper name,) around 7:00 or 8:00, but this time I’d looked up to speak with a guest at our home. When I looked down, the lasers were still firing down towards the bottom TNT & there was just 1 remaining piggie seated to the left of TNT … I presume it was the one seated slightly above & to the left, below smaller one, when level starts. I imagine wood had been destroyed allowing this piggie to fall down next to the TNT. I never saw the TNT or last pig destroyed. As the Level closed I expected to see a failure (don’t ask why as I had not exhausted all shots; I guess I’m just so used to it with ABSW,) instead I was so very pleasantly surprised to see I’d not only scored above average, but got into Top 50 for now : – ) at #37… So if you’re thinking of closing before seeing score total, pls wait; I’m so glad I did!
As so many others are saying or have said, just keep trying …..
For me, the most repeatable (relatively) method was hitting the orb at 9:00, or maybe a pixel below. By taking the spin out of the equation, it seems to help. By sending the orb horizontal, it can hit the first dangling block, any of the angled wooden planks, or even the plank below the upper Pig & TNT. All of these impact spots can gently turn the orb so it’s firing down into the structure.
Also, release Luke just as the laser fires. If his impact spins the orb counterclockwise, this timing will send a laser salvo down into the structure, instead of something that’ll ricochet back.
Note: The same spin-minimizing technique also works on the shot a hair above 9:00.
@bikkit ….So far today for the challenge, my monkeys haven’t typed “See Spot run.” much less the entire works of Shakespeare.
@stocktoad , there is a recent theory* that before ending up with having Hamlet say ‘to be, or not to be’ etc, the Bard’s first draft had the Prince of Denmark staring at a skull saying ‘See Spot run’. So you’re ALMOST there…
(* theory devised about 30 seconds ago)
@bikkit I think my monkeys are finally typing something relevant.
Henry IV part 1….. “And move in that obedient orb again
Where you did give a fair and natural light,”
Now if I could just get my orb to be obedient………
I don’t have any magic strats to offer, but I do have a couple of things to try that have not been mentioned.
1. It makes a big difference when you release your shot. I like to release when the middle red laser is just going off the screen at the bottom. Slightly different, but also effective is just before the last red laser goes off the screen.
2. Try a 1/2 to 3/4 power shot. It takes a little practice but it isn’t as difficult as it first appears to be. That is how I got my 78K score.
I’m not sure that anyone is going to get a puppy on this one. I had one that might possibly have come close, but the dreaded premature calculation did me in. Just needed another second or two……oh well….
This level is the offspring of Lady Luck and Blind Chance. The only advice I can give is make sure you active sabre before you hit the blaster to avoid those annoying tips about how to activate the sabre. Then hit the blaster wherever you like, it really doesn’t matter. Can I put that down as a new strategy?
As well as the above it also has a propensity to time out in microseconds when lined up for a good score. Had the droid take out upper level and miraculously was redirected so that the laser was aiming for the bottom tnt but before it could detonate the level timed out with a measly 71k to show for it. Sure that last pig wasn’t quite dead, maybe the smell of frying bacon triggered a premature end. Man I am in a grumpy mood today.
Most folk checking in today will be interested in top score(good luck with that BTW). For future travellers it is possible to get decent scores in a more civilised manner using 2 birds as needed. My best was 68k when the blaster took care of pretty much everything down below and Obi to the first hanging object took care of the rest.
Make that 69310k.Stopped raining now must get to work, but I’ll be back!
I’m back and improved my score by a whopping 1k.Woot!
