Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Path of the Jedi level J-36 is to fling Luke high, using the lightsaber to cut two of the bridges high above the level. Use Luke one more time to cut the last bridge, and enjoy your sharp-slicing reward!

Prime Pass Season 20
I found if you slice the second and the third wood planks with the first bird, then with the second bird slice the first wood plank you get a higher score. More debris falls through the gaps. 105,150
Just finished Posting all my scores & can remember being pleased with the way this one went down! Unfortunately I only held top spot for a few hours but think this is the strat for this level. For high score make sure when Luke has sliced through the two far right boards he falls down onto TNT clearing the whole right side. Some debris may fly across to the left structure which can kill the left hand pigs & finish the level but this doesn’t create a high finish. If this happens get quick off the mark with 2nd Luke! Try to aim him so that he swipes the bottom board just enough to release the bricks but not so much as to damage them, they need to have enough force in them to completely destroy the structure below. I can’t remember much debris left over but seeing as 111k is top score I’ll keep on trying! GL:)
Wonderful tips as always @jlz-666, I had a couple of 1-bird clears as well but you’re right they don’t score as high. I did better when the top part of the left structure collapsed because of flying debris & I had only the bottom left pig left – it’s easier to completely destroy the left side with the 2nd shot.
I’ve been back here a few times @karen68 & just can’t seem to squeeze any more out of it. Think we should be happy with our scores though just don’t forget to tell me if you do manage to get anything else out of this one!
@jlz-666 Yeah, those 107K to 111K scores are intriguing. I have had 105K about 8 times, and for most of them there was nothing left on the screen to score, except the plants on the rocks. It may be how fast things fall, and what kind of damage objects are doing to other objects on the way down. Like you, I will keep trying.
I will add that Luke seems to get to the TNT more often if you activate him later in the fly by. Then I ran Luke into the stone when I released the left blocks so he fell on the left also.
Most Excellent @batdance (and @magsy79)! That helped me get over average on this level. May the Birds Be With You and your light saber glow ever bright and strong! I had tried that approach but wasn’t having any luck hitting both the middle and right wood. After reading you post, I tried again and just raised Luke a little higher on the fly, swiping the saber as he flew by (oh my, a poet now!) – and it finally worked! :-)
105470 – This works, but after a 40 minutes of attempts, I finally got the left side to fall into the abyss. Up until that, I was stuck at 103K.
Thanks you @batdance, magsy79, and jlz666 for the alternate strategy to slice through the second and third planks and the tips to obtain a higher score. Used them all and they worked great. They make it easy to get scores in 105k range. Obtained 105880 with your techniques but it resulted from the first bird into the two right planks.
Ty @batdance for awesome strat..and@JLZ666 for extra tips..go figure I’m 6 points under average SIX lol how the heck do you manage that..not an even 10 ..
@Kimmiecv this looks like another ” need the POWAH” level I’m going to try for the 6 pts to make average.but then moving along..I’m so close to the POWAH lol i can feel it calling me..
”oh yeah forgot…’3P’s Patience…Patience..I’ll get that one..i will ,@wrw01 i will;)
I did it!!! Well above average at least:) I’ll be back:) ty all for help:)
Sigh…..this is becoming a pattern @Kathy! :/ Thank goodness for the Powah coming our way soon! And thanks for the warning!!
@JLZ-666, @karen68 and @Kathy I was fooling around with this level, I had by accident found that hitting the last 2 boards worked better, but I found a few extra points by aiming the 2nd Luke so he hits just under Yoda swing the saber a bit earlier so you don’t damage the bricks and he smacks into the overhang and then crashes down the middle crevice causing whatever is down there more damage points as the bricks fall onto what’s left of the left structure. If he flys off on the far right there doesn’t seem to be stuff he hits for more points. And KitKat I’m thinking on this one the longer saber would actually hinder the shots as you’d have to aim lower to compensate for the longer saber making it harder to hit luke off that overhang, just a guess! :)
@kimmiecv nice tip, you got me obsessively replaying this level! I tried the shot you suggested, aimimg at the point under Yoda, maybe it’s the green sabre, but it’s hard to not damage any of the blocks, you have to swing as Luke passes under the hanging foliage.
Then I tried what @magsy79 describes, aiming through the bottom of the foliage left of Yoda to hit the cliff & swing at impact, had more luck not damaging any of the metal blocks, & Luke drops straight down over the 1st pig. Managed to add a bit to my score.
You’re almost done with POTJ – the Powah will soon be yours! :)
Dunno how I missed this @karen68! See I knew there had to be more points! Good to know it can be done with the upgraded saber too!! Nice score!! :D I’m really close now!! Hoping to wrap it up by tomorrow depending on how hard the last 2 levels are!! Yeahhh I’m gunna have the Powah!!! Whoo Hooo and a new badge!! :D
@kimmiecv Thank-you for the second bird tip. After more flings than I’m willing to admit, the entire left side fell into the pit and the points racked up. So much fun to watch!
Ike @catsnbirds! And I still have to come Back to this one on my 2nd trip! Argh!! But I’m really happy to hear your second time around I was able to add something useful And you got a wicked score!! :D Whoo Hooo!!!
This got me a 1-bird clear! Satisfying but only 103k because the first section of debris never fell. I owe my 104 to you and will keep at it. Next time one bird clears it I’ll still go for that first section because there was NOTHING left so points will be big. Thank you!
I sliced the second and third wood planks as Batdance suggested, but on my second shot, I bounced the bird off the cliff war as I broke the wood plank with the saber. This bounced the bird down onto the left side, loosening stuff for the falling debris to slice through more thoroughly.
This tip was very helpful! Thanks @magsy79 and @batdance for the original concept! :D
@magsy79 — Did you bounce second shot off the left-side cliff before the first wood plank? That seemed to work better for me than the stone to the right of the first wood.
I got more points using @batdance ‘s method in reverse. With the first bird, aim just under yoda at the top, slicing just the first wood without damaging the blocks. The bird and blocks both fall down, causing more damage. Then cut the second and third planks with the second bird, making sure to activate the TNT. I got 108,540 with this method.
I added 4,000+ to my score by going back to using the first Luke to take out board #3 and the TNT, then Luke #2 to take out both of the first 2 boards. I had been using the strat from @jlz-666, but was stuck on 102,xxx for a long time. Was giving it another go when I miss-timed it and just took out the last board and the TNT. I liked the result so I gave it a serious attempt. Debris from the TNT broke the horizontal ice piece and the top of the structure collapsed, flattening everything. All I had to do then was fire Luke on the same trajectory and cut the 2 boards and watch the points accumulate. It was very sweet.
My starting point from 70 days ago? was 101.460 earned probably by @batdance way. Now I’m back to improve some very old scores ;).
At the beggining I fly to high arc – to near the celling of the cave with Blue Sabre. Luke Green Sabre has much longer extension. In Aikido if you use bokken (wooden katana) a part “to cut” is this very last tip area.
So I started used lower arc with success by same Batdance way. I find so for 1st Luke TNT entry is much easier. For 2nd Luke – if needed – I use little higher arc again. Difference between both arc is equal about “Luke thickness”.
I ritch today best 2B at 103.500 sharp. Next some of 1B in a row with best 105.530. I will try other ways too but latter. I have not fresh idea now.
I somehow one birdied the level. I followed the video above. I don’t know how it happened but I managed to level the entire structure taking out all the pigs as well. My final score was 164,370.
I’ve 1-Birded this level about 8 times tonight, but the score never goes much above 105k. More typical are 2-Birder scores between 102-104k, although I did have one that had it succeeded, would have netted me about 109k+, I’ve been desperately trying to recreate that one for the past 2½ hours, it involves launching the second Luke at the tip of the rock next to the first plank and activating just before impacting the rock, that way Luke comes straight down at the first pig with the blocks falling close behind to finish the level. Happy Hunting Everyone!
@werewolf69 That is exactly what happened for me (by accident) to get my score and there was a few more points to be had. Will have to keep trying to throw Luke into the tip of that rock! My first Luke was done as @batdance & @JLZ-666 described above. Went for the last 2 boards first.
This strat is almost like the one from @ohforfive I think is is the easiest way to get a good score.
1st shot…aim very low so that Luke hits the hanging pig on the top of the head or a little higher. Activate as late as possible, which is when Luke is almost to the pipe with the blue top on the far right structure. This shot will destroy a lot of the far right structure and take out just the last top board. Usually the TNT will go off, but if it doesn’t, that is still OK as the second shot usually gets it. With the debris falling from just the last board, the middle structure is usually totally removed.
2nd shot…..Aim so that you take out the first two top boards. It is probably good to aim low enough so that only the boards are hit with the sabre. If you didn’t get the TNT with the first shot, Make sure you aim high enough to get it with the second shot. With both compartments of debris falling on just the left structure, good things often happen. The scoring on this level is not easy to figure out because when things drop through, they are not always destroyed. You just can’t see the stuff down there. It is possible to get a score in the 105K area without having anything drop down either of the left or middle pit and with quite a bit of rubble left not destroyed.
Another thought….don’t be too quick to reset if the bottom left pig is left and your score is otherwise pretty good. Things move by themselves on the bottom left and often the pig gets popped later than you would think.
One other tip….it can be quite effective to hurry the second shot so that the debris drops while things are still moving down into the middle pit.
Thanks @stocktoad this does seem to be the way to go when coming back through with the green saber.
@stocktoad Great strategy, and bonus points for using the handy bold type. :)
On the first shot, my aiming point was 1/4″ above the highest pipe with the blue top. If Luke gets hung up on the rightmost triangular wooden block, you’re aiming too high.
Second shot, I aim a bit high just to avoid missing, so I delayed my saber swipe a bit to leave the left blocks undamaged. The right ones don’t need to clear much stuff, so the damage doesn’t seem to hurt. Plus, it lets me hit that annoying remnant of ForkPig’s vine.
109660/2
many thx to @stocktoad for the good strat and details
here my video:
https://youtu.be/EOlCI0rwK-s
Thanks to @stocktoad for the detailed strat. Had been going with other methods attacking the wooden boards first but couldn’t get above 105K+. Bout going lower with bird 1 made all the difference. Sliced the rope where it is attached to hanging pig then activate a split second later just before hitting the blue block on top of the chimney of rightmost building. This breaks the upper right board, dropping the contents and triggering the collapse of the other two buildings. (Mostly also triggers TNT but if not bird 2 will do that as well). I also used stocktoad’s tip of flinging bird 2 quickly to drop everything on the already collapsing buildings. Several scores over 108K and one time 110K this way on today’s challenge.
90 minutes to go to still go after a puppy 🐶 lol.
Nice to see my strats are still helping. By the way @peejaydee27 and any other senior members still around. I am still flinging birds, but I have switched to Angry Birds 2. I am enjoying it, but it is not the same as the original, and not really conducive to switching back and forth.
Hi @stocktoad. Thought we hadn’t seen you around for a while. I’d held off getting AB2 as quite a lot of the reviews were negative, but 6 months back I decided to give it a shot. You’re right, it’s a lot different to the original and the graphics are impressive, but in the end I just couldn’t get into it. Just a bit too gimmicky for me somehow. I did persevere off and on for a few weeks, but finally sent it off into the cloud!
Thanks again for your strat on this one :)
@admins @bernersenn
