Angry Birds Space Red Planet Level 5-24 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Red Planet level 5-24 is to launch Orange Bird towards the northern hemisphere of the top left planet. With the help of the planets gravity, Orange should land below the middle lava asteroid. Let him inflate, and send debris towards the pigs.

So, what I did was throw the first bird at the lower meteor, and the second at the higher meteor. After the second blew up, the orange bird went spinning around and did a lot of damage. I don’t really understand how it happened, but I ended up with this score.

First bird over the left planet, gravitional pull will bring it under the top planet. Expand just over the rightmost meteor. Should take out crystals and a couple of pigs. Second bird under the left planet, target is where the bird in the video landed. Expand, with luck will take out all pigs and meteors. May be a slight delay for the pig next to the geyser, rock debris should get caught in the flow and take him out. Quick action with the exploding meteors!

If you have extra birds, my suggestion is to use them to make sure all the meteors have been blown up, if you can blow them up into the rock piles nearby it’s usually about a +20k adder.

I got my highest score using two birds for 123690.
First bird like @catsnbirds described. I sent it about halfway through the gravity field/circle and exploded it above far right lava-asteroid.
Second bird I sent like the first shot in the video, over first planet just over the crystal to land in the pit of the black pebbles and let it expand.
The bottom lava-asteroid got pushed to the right exploding as well.
I had lots of one birdies with the video shot but my scores where always higher with two and even three birds.

Has anyone else noticed how odd the OB acts in this level? He is able to do damge after he explodes..which is rare. Also sometimes when you expand him, literally right on top of an lava-asteroid, it doesn’t always eplode but rather floats away as if it wasnt even touching it.

@jlz-666 nice score! I must have done the same as you, 3 stars & go, I was also at a sad little 105k going in. One look at my boards showed me I’m below average on a lot of Red Planet levels. Just have to add it to my list of things to work on – haven’t even touched Pig Dipper yet.

@werewolf69 Alternate strategy: Throw the orange bird almost directly straight, below the planet without a gravitational pull, and inflate it next to that loosely packed group of meteors. The meteors should fly out, detonate the meteors, break all the ice crystals (lots of points!) and pop all but two pigs. Use one or both of the remaining birds to pop them.

I just used a different strategy! 1st bird almost horizontally towards a pile of black stones at 5 o` clock. Detonate while a bird goes just under this pile. Black stones go up, take most parts of two split crystals and explode a right most fire asteroid. 2nd bird exactly as on the video, but i was lucky and took both remained lava asteroids as well and bottom lava asteroid destroyed a pile of black stones near itself…
What`s wrong???

I started with very low 85K (or even lower). I’m now at Red Planet improvement. Daily Chalange was discovered very late by me – 3 or 4 h from the end. I spend mayby 2h+ there. For such high progress it’s VERY short time.

Long time I don’t catch what stones pile was descripted by @stasbalabas. I attacked 8 o’clock point and learn some useful things about an level which profit later with some better scores.

I walk near that: 92, 102, 103, 105, 112, 135 (2B)! My best was: 1. like film top flight, 2. low flat under for a crystals and last pig. I made 2nd shoot with no fear – I was constantly improved so I don’t fill pressure – I’m scoring now ;).

Some observations: 1. Attack at 8 o’clock meteor will give points (from bottom and top). Only once during this type of shoot I cleared blue crystal at the top of first planet.

2. Possibility of attack 1st film point by under first planet flight AND many ways to solve some level clearing problems.

3.8 o’clock is repeatable and give crystal points and cleared one pig. It’s not nearest possible to start planet halo straight shot – it’s about pixel lower.

4. Need for fun and with this type of level (lot of loose things) and be free to try crazy or not typical shoots.

5. If low meteor goes to the R – you will follow it and hit them with next shoot!

6. High scores sometimes will be made by different ways (top score – not necessarily).

THX for Challenge and player tips. I improved more that 360 positions :).

Took all 3 birds & almost all crystals were still left for 121330

Aimed 1st bird north about 1/2 way thru gravitational field, activating expansion to explode the lava asteroid sitting about 11:30 @ middle planet. I activated before video shot, not allowing bird to get under the asteroid.

At this point, in addition to most if not all blue crystals, there remained the pig @ 3 o’clock on left most planet, the lava asteroid between 7 o’clock & 8 o’clock @ middle planet & past the far right smallest planet, 1 pig “on” the lava asteroid.

2nd bird South around bottom, just along edge of 1st planet & activated in time for expanded balloon to hit small exploding lower lava asteroid also taking out leftmost pig for about 20k in total points.

3rd bird aimed north & around to head towards remaining pig…activated to hit pig & detonated the last lava asteroid. This too was worth about 20k.

Here is my implementation of @stasbalabas‘s really clever strat:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7daLVjmR4K4

To make it short, you need to ignite both fireballs after having sent as much coal as possible close to it (1st fireball, 1st shot) or after having pushed them as close as possible to a pile of those (2nd and last fireball, 2nd shot).

The outcome of 1st shot shown above is unusual in the sense that more common outcome gets rids of most upper right pig, for a total which rarely exceeds 41k, even assuming that the whole crystal isolated cluster is gone and that half of the cluster on its left is gone too (or 46k assuming that one gets rid of mustached pig). This time I was 3k above this threshold. Aiming is more difficult than it seems, and activation necessitates some practice. Basically you must activate later than what common sense dictates to you, so that a few coal like black stuff drifts very (really very) slowly into rightmost vent and ignites fireball before pushing it (otherwise you may ignite fireball but will fail to destroy crystal cluster).

As for 2nd shot, it is difficult to understand what is the best aiming + activation combination, but this time you must push gently middle fireball to the upper right corner. The later it ignites, the more likely to can get both crystals in this corner, but usually, you get only one of them, which is in fact compensated by the fact that you destroy more coal. After this, you must hope that some coals that drifts toward left planet will be sucked by vent and go sufficiently to the right to ignite last crystal. Consider that it happens 20% of the time. I did not find any simple way to make this happen on a more regular basis.

My best potential score was 124k (including bonus bird) without igniting left fireball. Assuming that the resulting explosion could have gotten the crystal on left planet (an event which happens once in a blue moon), a score close to 150k would have been achieved, but stars never aligned well enough for this to happen (yet?).
