Angry Birds Space Pig Bang Level 1-8 Walkthrough

The basic strategy for Pig Bang level 1-8 is to fire the Blue birds very, very low. Split them just before hitting the dome and clear both pigs inside.

I aimed mine low just above the grass patch line and split just as it’s approacing the the three ice squares to get the bottom bird of the split to get some of the last tuff of grass and the three ice blocks while the top two of split go on two get the two pigs inside, this way you get a few extra points for grass tuff and ice blocks.

Sorry, don’t know where to post this, but when are the Eggsteroids walkthroughs being up? In the Golden egg section?

By Nt

Found what looks to be the first “egg”right around 7 or 9. It is a shimmering lump of golden rock. When you destroy it, you see all the birds flying through space and you are immediately “transported” to Eggsteriods. Even before you can finish off the Pig Bang level where the gold lump was found. On ABo I always saved my eggs as a fun diversion on a “doing poorly at AB’s” day. Of course, you can always leave the Eggsteroid and go back thru the menu….

My method for this level is as follows: use the blue bird and aim it low, so that it’s trajectory will take it to just above the three small square blocks. Then split just as the bird gets to the top of the blocks, and with a bit of luck, all the birds will will fly through into the structure for maximum damage. Regularly yields 56k plus, up to 58k :)

I did exactly what AA & Laurence did. The key to this level is the split point. If you split too soon, the top bird hits the stone square atop the first structure and it flies into the second structure. This takes away impact points. It also takes the top bird out of the equation and sometimes blocks the bottom bird’s path to the second structure.. If you split at the right point, the birds wipe out the first structure and the stone block falls on the first piggy. Leaving the second structure wide open for all three birds.

I aimed slightly above the grass patch and split just before the grass patch aiming to take out the top of the three blocks and everything went. had been getting lots of 55s with this method then got the 58

It’s easiest if you take out most of the ice in the first structure and allow the stone block to kill the first pig.

It seems I have the magical ability to break the high score on any level I’m not serious about. This week 4-27 and now 1-8. My goal for tomorrow is to be less serious about Egg 5… a level I’ve actually been trying to improve on for a week.

With 1-8, I played the usual formula: fast and low, split (roughly) over the cubes. The trio of blue birds destroy the first structure inside the dome, do some damage to the second, and the top bird exits though the roof to head south for the winter. This time, however, the top bird decided it didn’t want to migrate; it wanted to be Chuck Norris. It came crashing down the hill back toward the dome in a furious series of ninja cartwheels and obliterated the complete remnants of the second structure with its bare wings. Only fragments of the dome remained.

@burpie Magical indeed. For the last 10 hours, I’ve attempted to get close to that score. 1600+ attempts later, nowhere close. I’d say somebody up there likes you quite a lot.

@kelani, the more I play the luckier I get ;-)

I suggest spending crazy time on level 30 instead… there’s a much bigger payoff. And if it’s any consolation, I’ve played that level and many others for 10+ hours myself without getting the highscore.

@burpie I did take your suggestion…for awhile, but I couldn’t resist coming back to a level I knew I had a shot at. Hubris? I can’t disagree. :) Luck finally stopped avoiding my calls, and I seem to have snuck by your awesome high score by a measly 10 points. I’m torn, since that’s a pretty underhanded thing to do to such a helpful, nice guy, but it IS a first for me, so please forgive me if I cheer privately. :)

Strategy was same as everyone else: fling as low as possible, split over top of pyramid and pray hard. Rarely, a bird will skip off the ledge and cause some weird, destructive sequence where the dome breaks in several pieces, and all 3 birds end up on top of the debris and plow their way through, leaving 3-5 single dome planks.

This takes forever. I kid you not, I played this ~500x a day since my last post (over 11.5k attempts). Of those, maybe 15 scores would have been top 10. Worse, two tied my previous 58,810 score, which is a truly awful feeling. A higher score is possible, of course, but I’m not gonna find out!

Screenshot note: I was so absorbed in the fling-reset-repeat cycle, and playing with sound muted, I didn’t even notice the score until the end of the next attempt!

Many thanks to whoever cleaned up my two failed screenshot posts.
