One strategy for Pig Bang level 1-10 is to send one Blue bird to each of the top and bottom planets. Split the birds early to destroy more ice and reach higher scores.
Did you know that you can obtain a space achievement on this level? Click the link for the steps required to unlock it.
Send one blue bird exactly where the two circles intersect, split em right there. One Birder about 40k.
Did it the same way, got 41230 this way!
Got a video to show how.
Oops wrong link.. here’s the right one
The same way, 39830. I think a 2 birder might get extra points, from some of the comments below. There is a lot of ice left over, so I think I’ll keep trying this one.
I got a one birder with 50000
YEAH!!! Top score! 44570!!! I got mine by aiming blue bird right where circle meet up like Richie mentions but split sooner, about an inch before they enter circles…you get better results if two birds of the split go in top half and the other goes to the bottom ;-)
Aim the bb to the center of the topsculpture, split direct. Do the same for the lower sculpture. 46K or more!
With center I mean the block of glass nearest to the left
Two birdie strategy, same shot for each gravity circle. Aim at the center left point of the ice structure, split before entering circle so that the three birds circle around the center rock and take out lots of ice (we’re in space – I’m going with ice instead of glass here!).
Thanks, for this, added a couple of thousand extra! I wonder if this level is a contender for the Lagrangian point achievement? I got a couple of birds almost stationary one time! :)
It seems to be one of the most obvious ones, but so far no achievement has been claimed.
I just typed a whole aragraph and it dissapeared! I almost got the L factor point…I fired the birds as in E-Stars method…they passed over the pigs to loop around again…before they had the chance they bumped into each other one got kicked out..the other was trapped in the middle, he went back and forth for abit then slowly came to an almost stop…I tried to get a pic..but he poofed out to quckly..I didmt see a blue spot there so I dontt think it was a gravity point as mvlna spoke of!
True, no gravity point, but also not a Lagrangian point. I am convinced the Lagrangian points that will produce the achievement are located off the screen, but that is IMHO, so feel free to ignore.
I beat the average with this method, thanks!
@laurence Thanks for the strategy. I improved my score by several thousand points using your method. Would have never thought to use two birds to get a higher score.
I think @catsnbirds is due the credit for the 2-bird split early strategy & just managed 48500 on Android phone, a little more than 2k improvement, during today’s Challenge. I haven’t made it to the Top 50, but it was about 150 rungs up the leaderboard ladder.
I’d been trying to split very early, but 1 split bird was always too high & missing the ice, so I turned to YouTube & found an @e-star video (not the one linked above,) that followed catsnbirds using the 2-birdie method & it was quite evident that my early was actually late. I wasn’t splitting neatly early enough. [As I was using my iPad YouTube app, I have no link to share, but I think it showed a June 2013 post date if that helps.]
This “split while leaving slingshot” is actually pretty darn difficult on an Android phone or I imagine any phone for that matter, since both of the splits are literally when just leaving the slingshot , however those younger flingers with faster reflexes may not be having this trouble.
I have noticed since upgrading to 4.3, there is about a pne second delay in activation pnce the screen is pressed. And, the finger has to be held on the screen to activate. Because if you tap too fast, my phone does the triple tap zoom. Very frustrating.
44810 1 bird method.
Wheeeww.. Finally Done w/ this Level
45710 – Like the description above the video. Aim a blue bird at the rectangular block in each circle and split just after it leaves the sling. Some shot for the upper(or lower) circle. approximately 18K or more for each shot plus nearly total destruction. This has been repeatable for score around the 42K to 44K marks.
Sometimes I get ‘lucky’ and the one of the first birds comes back into the lower circle(if I’ve shot into the upper) and takes out the pig there for around 42K.
46280 now using this two bird solution. Time to move on.
Thanks Liam. This looks like the most consistent strat, at least for me. First attempt was 45k so I’ll see if I can improve it a bit.
Thanks for the detailed description, got 48K with your method :)
@liam If you are referring to the rectangular block standing on end on top of the hollow square block of ice {I too choose to think ice, since we are in space ;-) }, making it the part of the ice structures in each atmospheric (gravity field) circle that protrudes the most, then, yeah! It works great! It just helped me by just over 3k first try! Cool! If you’re talking about one of the rectangular blocks inside the circular ice structure encircling each planet up close and personal, then I’m way off!
The people with the two tops scores on this level seem a little suspicious…
Yeah, idk what’s going on there, but I’m going to remove the scores.
Got 42160 by aiming at the large tower on the upper planet, and splitting early. The bottom bird circles the top planet, comes all the way through the middle and takes out the bottom pig, too. (Sorry, no vid.)
Using catsnbirds’ method, I have come up with some aiming techniques for everyone. I was fully zoomed in on this one. There is a potential for 19k from each structure here, that is not including the “bridge” between the two structures.
Top structure aiming point – Next to the horizontal ice block on the left side of this structure is an ice square. Aim at the bottom left corner of the square. Split bird about a pinky nail away from the sling.
Bottom structure aiming point – Aim straight down the top side of the horizontal ice block on the left of this structure. Split almost immediately. If you do the top structure first, split about halfway between the sling and the top structure split point.
Happy flinging, everyone!
I’m dreadfully sorry, everyone. This technique is based off of Liam’s strat.
thank you very much! That worked perfectly in first try.
I’m glad to help!
I just noticed a strategy of 2birds being the key to high score.
As for my score, it was improved 4K!
I think the strategy to change some positions to aim at of the north side and the south side to be great discovery!
Thank you!
This helped me go from 44K to 46K. Thanks! :-)
Not a problem at all. :)
Great synergy with the strats on this level! Your aiming suggestions are spot on here. I’m consistently getting 47K+ using this suggestion. Thanks!
Thank you very much. Using your method I managed to score 50760. I started with the top structure and I’d reset if after first bird score would be less than 19-20 K.
Awesome strategy! I was going nuts trying to improve my score using only one bird. I went up by almost 3K in a matter of minutes with two.
Well, you have done it again, @rdnzlrips82! I went from 38 to 45k on the first try. I had over 18k from first bird. Thanks again for the PAT :), you have a great eye for detail.
I don’t get where the second shot should go. Could someone take a picture? :(
No problem, just got it. Looked for those thin ice beams, didn’t think about other ice blocks. :)
Tip of the hat to Liam for the strategy and a heartfelt Thank You to (@rdnzlrips82 ~ your well described aiming points were instrumental in improving my score!
Thanks. That really helped!
Thanks for the detailed aiming points @rdnzlrips82 on Liam’s strategy. I had more luck going for the lower structure first like @comex666 did, although I adjusted the aiming point slightly. I aimed just below the the upper left corner of the horizontal block instead of along the top of it & split as soon as possible. I found this had a better chance of taking out the plank the 2 triangles sit on that @stocktoad mentions below.
2nd shot I also split as quickly as I could & my higher scores came when the upper blue would do his work on the top structure then sail down to do a bit more destruction on the bottom.
Thanks @rdnzlrips82 for the aiming points and @steviep147 for the video. This level took some days to get over the 48k score but better aiming and faster splits seem to be the key. Was able to obtain an above average score with the help of the other flingers in this level. This one was challenging but satisfying when the goal is achieved.
Easy three star strategy posted above. Looks really cool too, with an achievement. :) Aim the bird exactly where the two gravity fields meet and fire there too. Not high, but still 40000+ and 3 stars.
43,370 with 1 bird. Wish I could claim credit – just luck not strategy. Will try for higher score with 2 birds.
Thanks @rdnzlrips82 for that great STRAT! I was stuck on 44,220 for such a long time (one bird score through the middle). After a LOT of repeats with your strategy, I finally started raising my score! Persistence does give results eventually. Yay!
Wow. I did a new WR on this Level with a score of 52340 :)
Admin edit: Link no longer valid, score removed.
@nintendo-s-t-a-r OR anyone playing challenge today Help?
What does WR mean. And was this a one bird or 2 birdie
The screenshot shown doesn’t really show much, can’t see score or trajectory:(
World Record?
Wridiculously high score?
Wrong Level? :)
The screenshot seems pretty conclusive @Kelani.
@amslimfordy I’m not questioning the score. I was jokingly replying to @Kathy ‘s question on what WR means. She has no idea, and neither do I. :)
@kelani lol and i still have No idea! But i like your suggestions; ) hee hee
@admins The link above from @nintendo-s-t-a-r is no longer valid, it shows some type of advertisement.

Thanks, @kathy. Comment removed.
i aimed for the rectangular block on each planet. split birds right away. i got lucky and got 50,400.
2-Birder
first the lowest planet. aim on the first, big ice block,
activate immediately….19-20k
then top planet. aim on the second (hole) ice block
activate immediately….with luck over 50k

The trick to higher scores seems to be hitting the top and bottom outside birds in just the right spot. They should sail through the long horizontal piece which is under the triangles that the pigs are sitting on. That spot not only does good destruction under the pigs, but also the bird often will float to those middle pieces or to the other planet for extra points.
Thanks @stocktoad ;) that was the missing link i was looking for:) hard to get to’sail’through those ice planks i haven’t quite got the aim or split point right yet. .but your post really helped. Not many post today so I’m kinda lost as to what to do. Seems like i need another bird.
@kathy make sure you look at @karen68 ‘s post above. Those are good aiming points, and as she says, clicking/tapping as soon as possible is important.
Thanks again @stocktoad I must have missed her comment.
@Kathy I saw your pm, here’s where I aimed the two shots. Splitting early is important although as Ripsy commented above I found it a little hard to do consistently.
Good luck! :)

Thanks @Karen68 ;) that will surely help ;) that’s exactly what i needed thank you; )
@Karen68 I improved 2k first shot with your screenshot trajectory;) maybe a puppy in my future; ) I’ll make her after you; )
No puppy for me. But I’ll reiterate how important it is to split the blues early. If your not activating dead air half the time, your not doing it early enough. Good luck everybody. You still have two hours in the challenge.
@rat9 no puppy for me either. Your dead air observation is dead on. I’m usually up for a challenge, but @nintendo-s-t-a-r must have had 21k plus on both top and bottom. It doesn’t take that many fingers to count the times I was over 20K on either side, so my time is better spent elsewhere.
Thanks for the trajectory help. I’m still having trouble cracking the top 50. (Is that greedy, lol.) probably won’t happen before the end of challenge but I did improve by a couple thousand thanks to everyone. See you at the next one in 45min!
Thanks for those images @karen68! I kept flinging today but I have a lot of difficulty getting the blues to split early. Seems to be a delay and so I tap tap tap and still they seem to ‘stick’ and not open up right as they leave the fling. It is a bit frustrating, but my current score is good so I’ll just have to be happy for now. I’ve even flipped going for the lower first then the top. I’ve had some 19k points for the 1st set of blues at the highest but then the 2nd fling just flubs. Great score for you!
It seems that the lowest bird aimed at the top planet sometimes destroys the lowest part of the central bridge between the two planets, and this affects the way the top bird of the lowest planet destroys things. For this reason, my experience indicates that it is better to aim at the lowest planet first, at least if your aim is to reach 45k. For the precise aiming points, see @rdnzlrips82 comment, I fully agree (the two planet are not exactly symmetric, hence the aiming points). The splitting point is then dictated by @stocktoad remark.
@admins My video has gone into the bin again I believe. Sorry!
All ok with a second go
It’s tough getting to 50k so here’s a video for just 47k! Thanks go to @rdnzlrips82
