Aim a bit lower than the walkthrough, to the ‘shoulder’ and split late. You want to nudge the bubble into the gravity field. When it works, the bubble will drag a ton of debris down with it. Then wait… the debris on the planet will slowly be ground to a pulp.

Shot 2 for an easy finish.

WOW! Great strat! I have been aiming a mini/nano pixel under the “shoulder socket”. It is an extremely difficult shot to “nudge” the bubble into the grav-field. I would say it is more like “whispering” at it because the bubble pops sooooo easily. Had tu use 3 birds for current 2nd place, so I bet someone will get 90K!

@kathy The closest pig from the slingshot kind of looks like a frog or sometinhg, but anyway – if you imagine it has a head, connected to a neck, connected to a torso.. That’s where the “shoulder” reference comes in. Your humerus (upper-arm bone) has a ball/round-shaped ending that fits into a joint/socket (glenohumeral joint, i.e. you shoulder). If you look at the space-pig he seems to have a “shoulder” below his head and neck, down towards what might be construed as a shoulder. That’s the point to aim at. Buy you at Whine at the BP (white or red?? HTH!

I followed @comex666 strategy for the first two birds and, as with @meanguy and @Sglouk, a pig with antennae landed on planet without popping. Unlike in the @meanguy and @Sglouk descriptions, there was no movement of the debris in either direction as the whole surface was covered with debris. One of the little round blue balls, however, was bouncing up and down repeatedly, contacting a triangle-shaped piece of debris and adding points, 10 at a time. This went on for a couple of hours, although the pace of getting the points slowed considerably after the first hour. Still no clockwise or counter-clockwise movement. When I went to go to bed, the point total was 87K+ and I took this picture. https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sja101abn/album/picture/27928/. (The bouncing blue ball and triangle mentioned above are at the 11 o’clock position and the antennaed pig is at the 7:30 position). When I got up in the morning, much of the debris on the surface was gone, the debris was moving counterclockwise fairly quick, and the pig on the surface was gone, but the bubble he had been in and antennae were still there. The point total was 107170. Points had stopped accumulating and I took this picture. https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sja101abn/album/picture/27929/. (The pigless bubble and antennae are at the 12 o’clock position.) I let it run for a couple of hours to see if any additional points would accumulate, as @meanguy and @sglouk described in their experiences, and after it was apparent that no additional points were being or would be generated, I shot my third bird to pop the remaining pig (and getting a little extra debris), resulting in a score of 124750 (adding 28K to my previous high score and barely eclipsing @sglouk). https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sja101abn/album/picture/27930/. So, in my case, I could not have kept accumulating points by letting it run beyond what I did overnight.

Nearly 2 hours before the Challenge ended I got a really lucky first shot. One of the little pigs-in-a-bubble began doing laps around the lower planet, going the opposite way from the flashing arrow. Each lap was incredibly slow. With about 6 minutes left in the Challenge, I sent the second set of birdlettes into the upper 2 bubble pigs. I then sent the 3rd birdlette trio into the still-rotating pig-in-a-bubble. I had 96,890 points with one bird left unused.

I could reproduce the same trick reported by @meanguy to get a very high score. The basic trick is to have one of the small pig bubble soft land on planet so that it does not pop. The one to the right of the contraption is better suited for the job as its antenna protect him better. One on the planet, most of the debris will slowly be destroyed while gently crawling clockwise or counterclockwise, but the bubble will not pop. And then the perpetual motion machine starts: the bubble and the remaining debris roll on planet, points (very) slowly accumulate, but nothing seems to be damdaged anymore. Does it remind you the Anchors Away thing of Pig Dipper S-15? That seems to be exactly the same: it seems to wirk only when there is a pig. When very weakly hit by friction on the ground, the bubble gives points and either self-regenerates or is not structurally weakened at all. Then sit down and wait as much as you want. I stopped the game after 24h at 110k and used the two remaining birds to get rid of the rolling bubble and the other ones outside gravitational field, and got 123k. Should I have waited a day or two, I would have gotten 200k, etc. If I have time, I will post a video showing what happens. Spoiler: it is quite boring to watch.

So:
@admins I think it is necessary to cap this level’s score at some limit. I believe 90k is possible by “fair” (i.e., non glitchy) means, so we could cap the score at, say 110k ou 120k, just as it was done for S-15: the 170k cap there was probably somethink like 20k-30k above the maximum achievable score under normal circumstances. Don’t hesitate to lower my score, I will not complain.

Also, since it has been customary to give a special badge for levels with glitchy scores (Anchors Away, Over The Moon, Slam Dunk), maybe one could do the same for this one. I am not very imaginative for the name, probably native English speakers will be more inspired than me. Maybe “Soft Impact” (as opposite to the episode name, Beak Impact) since the key is to make a bubble survive to landing on planet.

@sweetp Given the above discussion, I think that this level must be removed from those eligible for the Daily Challenge.

@sglouk I agree with you about a badge for this. I will contact the other @admins to see what we can do about it.
Without such a solution we will see flagged scores over and over.
@meanguy do you agree?

@bernersenn – While I do think that a new badge would be great, it might be easier to just eliminate this level from the Daily Challenge.

As I wrote almost a year ago, I first saw the pig doing laps with about 2 hours left in the Challenge, and I chose to end the level with barely enough time to post my score for a puppy.
If I had let the laps continue for 24 hours, like @sglouk did, I’m sure my score would have been ridiculously high.

If a new Badge were created for this level, it would mean that any Player who is able to get the pig lapping the planet would then have to keep their device from going to sleep and have to be able to finish the level with enough time to enter their score & post proof.

This would then mean that this level would be played only to get the new Badge, not to earn an Underdog Award.

I’ll leave this decision up to the Admins.

Here is the time-compressed illustration of the glitch. However, the hard part of the process is what is actually not seen in the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1x8yXNecSA

You need that some of the infalling contraption clips the small antennaed pig to the right. For this, the more of the contraption is sucked into gravitational field, the better. But it seems almost impossible to have the whole upper part of the contraption sucked together with the lower part because the hose in between usually breaks. Moreover, you have no guarantee that the two upper pigs will be easily popable after the process, so:
1st shot to “behead” upper part of contraption and get rid of the two pigs there. Central and upper birdlets for the pigs, lower birdlet is expected to hit white trapezoidal thing. Don’t care about the score, just ensure that the two pigs are gone.
2nd bird as everybody: low power toward lower middle-sized pig “shoulder” with last send split, hoping/tuning so that (i) no birdlet hits hose (ii) one birdlet pushes lower right bubble without popping it (iii) infalling contraption will kindly both push leftmost bubbled pig down into gravitational field (iv) AND clip right bubbled pig with antenna (v) AND that one of the two will survive. Step (iv) is actually made easier when the pig you aimed for 2nd shot does NOT pop: it helps small pig not to be pushed too far on the right when clipped by contraption (you see it in the video). This increases difficulty of the shot, but actually there is probably more luck than skill there.

Then, you have to hope that antennaed pig will be clipped long enough to reach gravitational field and that, against all odds, it survives to the soft but treacherous landing on planet (from 00:34 to 00:46 in the video). If so, congrats, the hard part is over.

Now, the long part.

In the next couple of minutes, most of the contraction will crumble, and after a while, a sort of “train” of remaining debris will crawl (fisrt clockwise, then counterclockwise in the video, unsure whether it is always the same). Points accumulate without enough apparent reservoir for this. It seems that the bubbled pig does the job. Then wait a few hours (as reported by @meanguy) or a full day (my own experience, see timecodes of the different recorded parts in the upper right corner), and most importantly do not fumble the remaining shots after such a long wait. In case small pig to the left is still there, it may be difficult to finish the level with two birds, hence point (iii) above.
