First bird counterclockwise around to the boulder but do not activate the bird split! Also, don’t want to hit the ice on the boulder, you need to hit just under the so the boulder will drop intact and do damage in pile of squares. Second shot straight through explody thing. The explosion bump all the remaining squares and hopefully the boulder and it’s icy fragments will crush everything. 115710
@dmsral Yet another great strategy. :) I’d almost convinced myself the explody thing was a red herring. I think a rare 1-birder may be possible with this strategy. The only thing I did differently was when the falling iceteroid stayed intact as it takes out all the blocks. Then I fired OB into the base of the explody thing to pick up a few more points.
Ahhh! Beaten to another strat lol! Same as @dmsral although mine was by accident! I sent blue bird around anticlockwise expecting to split the bird but took my eyes off the screen. Was just about to reset thinking I’d messed up when I saw it fall into the pile. The explosion took out the bottom iggies but I decided to throw 2nd at the exploding canister for extra points. 112,250k
edit: Just got the 1-birder twice in a row, but it wasn’t so great. 107k with explody thing intact. Followup shot with OB gives 113k with zero debris left.
I agree. I got a one birder a few times using this strategy but the highest score I could get was 106K. I’ll keep trying.
Alternate strat:
Send BB clockwise, grazing below ice-roid outside gravitational field. If you don’t split, then you’ll (barely) miss the second ice-roid. Therefore, you have to split, close but before reaching the right ice-roid. The hard part lies in doing it without error. Ice roid has to rotate counterclockwise by 90 degrees, then fall at the bottom of the hollow square inverted pyramid. This can be done only if none of the BB hits it from above, which is not easy. For example, if you split too late, the bottom BB will land on the right side of the pyramid, then gently roll left and fall on the ice-roid too early.
If all goes well, the ice-roid reaches the bottom of the inverted pyramid, explodes and cleans everything within, as well as freezing any pig below. Those may either be killed by remaining BB or by the explosion of the energy stuff if it happens, or by OB.
One birder with exploding thing gone is possible (109k), but ice-roid exploded too early within the pile of hollow squares, hence many remaining debris. Got a very clean two birder with 110k and unexploded but severy damaged energy stuff. I believe a clean 1-birder is possible for more than 120k. It is probably a matter of patience.
Great description of the strategy that I used @sglouk – I agree the split is so critical. Thank you for taking the time to share and post the strategy, it’s fingers like you that add so much to the ABN!
Thanks @sglouk ;) I got the one- birder this way! ! Everything destroyed!!
many thx to @sglouk for strat.
here my one-birder with 119k:
https://youtu.be/yBqeF9uNS9M
124190 with one bird.
Thanks a lot to @sglouk for the strategy and the details. It gave me a puppy by the smallest possible margin.
Here is the final result for the Daily Challenge.
And this is highscore screenshot.
All the screenshots are also available in high res here in one set.
@sweetp
I dunno. It almost seems disrespectful to beat @rat9 by 10 points. Can’t you at least get a few more!
(I’d settle for it though).
I just scored 125,730 points by using the strategy posted by @sglouk over 6 years ago. I used only one bird, but got total destruction.
For some reason I am having a hard time uploading my screenshot to ABN. As soon as I work it out, it will be posted.
Congrats to @asher on getting another puppy !!
Good luck & happy flinging to all !!!
Figured it out.

Sorry about the delay.
Top score for now (which I don’t expect to last very long). This was a one-birder, similar to @Sglouk‘s strategy above, I aimed BB clockwise, “just” below the iceteroid above the gravity field. Split so that the top bird grazes the iceteroid in the gravity field. It will drop into the right side of the pyramid and destroys the top layers of blocks. Then slowly rolls over, turning the remaining blocks to ice, sliding to the middle and breaking apart.
In the meantime, the middle and bottom Blues hit the exploding cell and level was cleared!
@SweetP Did you split just inside the grav field or somewhere else? I can get that rightmost iceteroid to drop and take out the entire top funnel part, but my center and bottom blues aren’t scratching the explody antimatter canister
@Kelani, I split the Blues inside the gravity field, about two-thirds of the way between the entrance point and the boulder. Split a half sec before impact. I will try to capture a screenshot for you before the level times out.
Hah! @Kelani, when I revisited to get you a screenshot, I was able to get back up to the top! Anyway as promised, here is a screenshot of the trajectory and split timing. Good luck, hope you can get the one-birder!
Space Beak2 8-35.png
@SweetP Aw, thanks for the screenshot. :) Now I know I was splitting in the wrong place AND time. Glad you got something for your efforts :)
That works like a charm @sweetp, and thanks too to @sglouk!
I can consistently get scores around 120k. The bird really needs to squeeeeeeze by as close as possible to the iceteroid in order to set up the trajectory of the middle bird to slam into the “explody thing”. On my iPad, I split a hair before that faint group of stars.
PS For the splitting point mentioned, I play zoomed all the way out.
99.999% of the time I play zoomed in, not out, so that these old eyes can see detail, but @bonneypattycat has such a great score zoomed all the way out that I thought “why not?”, after all, I was 2k below average. Not 3 shots later I managed 116k by following her …. zoom out & split a hair before the faint stars. I’m still way below the 120s, but at least I’m above average.
@justpast40 My eyes are nearly 60, and my vision kinda sucks now, but 99.999% of the time I play zoomed out. Zoomed in, the screen is always shifting, driving me bananas, plus I have to keep swiping to get back to the sling, and I just don’t want to be bothered with it.
Wow @bonneypattycat, my eyes are 56 (justpast40 is a misnomer) & I just can’t see zoomed out even on this iPad which has a large screen. There must be differences between not just our iPads but our eyes. How I ever managed to get decent scores on my very 1st Android phone is amazing!!!! ! It was the HTC Droid Indrebible & had an itty bitty screen.
@justpast40 I used to have one of those Nintendo DSi games. It didn’t take long to realize I needed a bigger screen. That’s when I got my first iPad and the first app I downloaded was Angry Birds. I had never played it, but had to see what the fuss was about. Almost three years now, and I’m still flinging :)
Okay, enough “chatter” here, see you later at the BP!
Nice scoring @bonneypatcat. I’ll have to try your timing next time I revisit.
I agree with @SweetP. Definitely the way to go. My score of 124180 looked just like a normal 120k score until the boulder got to the bottom. Then I watched as it exploded majestically causing additional damage to the debris below the structure. Btw, I still had two glass blocks remaining so higher scores are possible.
Congrats on the top score @rat9! I’m glad my method helped. I’ll have to come back later and retry this so I can break this 120K.
Got 120600 using my strat (1 bird), with a very good but not perfect cleaning of debris. 123k should be possible, I think.
@Sglouk, Good stuff. Eventually we should see if we can get the other ice-roid into play, too.
Now 122930, with one surviving hollow ice square, plus one or two iced triangle. I was so surprised to see almost 123k that I did not have time to look at what was left. But 123k is definitely possible.
In case it is necessary, here is the proof:

WTG @sglouk, nice score! Since we’ve topped each other’s scores, I can see that 123K is possible.
@sglouk, worked for me, thanks.

Picture of my score
I followed (again) the @comex666 video using @sglouk strategy. Not sure how I managed this but needed two birds to get my 113970. Moving on from this one… not my favorite.
