New Event – Neon Sunstreaker
@dawn-nelson –Congrats on yet another high score. Just looked through your album. Very nice and helpful pics, but I didn’t see one of this level. Do you happen to have one you could upload? Or maybe just a few extra tips? Was it a 1-birder?
BTW — I’ve been calling you @Dawn; my bad. : (
Hi @mvnla2. I’m sorry–don’t have a screen shot. I was taking screen shots of all of them–then I couldn’t figure out what they went to. :-( so I deleted a bunch of them. It was about 3:00 am when I was playing–no videos to review–so you’re never sure if it’s a high score–or just high until everyone else plays. It must have been a one birder. I don’t remember anything special standing out about that game—I just tried again—nothing different comes to me. I will keep playing–if it’s a high score–I’ll get a screen shot.
2bird strategy. I’m assuming others must be using as well, but don’t see it described, so here goes.
First bird – reduced speed to canister. Let it do it’s thing. Then wait. The anchor on the bottom right planet allows the tower to lean left. Once it’s near the bottom of its range (be careful, it will bounce back!) then –
Second bird or about mid tower. It will get the two right pigs and fling debris to get the last upper right pig.
@dawn-nelson and @MVNLA-2 I’m assuming that Dawn’s tower got away from the anchor and continued on to get the last piggy.
Ok, here’s another high(er) score strat, as @fenikus said, you should think in billiards, not in brute force :-)
Ren bird on the little boulder so that the stoneclew with the lava (?) is pushed to the right. When pushed right, the explosives will reach the next stone clews, spreading them over the structures below. In the mean time, red bird bounces off, to start the rocket todo his thing. After a few seconds the whole part comes together, bringing lots of destruction.
The picture shows the direction of red (more or less) to explain what I mean.

@bernersenn Thanks for this very fun and successful strat! My 131K took two birds, second into the tower at the bottom to take care of two pesky pigs.
@catsnbirds you’re welcome. Nice score
Thank you @bernersenn. Improved by 8k. However I’ve never been able to have the lava boulder hit the next one and explode. (Is that what you meant?) It’s always just moved closer beside it. Doesn’t matter though as I managed a 132k with 2 birds. It was actually a 1 birdie but looking at my score I hoped that throwing the bomb into the long contraption that was still pretty much intact,there was more points were to be had. Thankfully I was right! Cheers!
@JLZ-666 that’s exact what I mean. Sometimes I don’t use the right words to describe a strat. With explosives I meant the lava. Is this answer sufficient?
Your strat explanation was perfect @bernersenn! I was just wondering if you were getting the lava to bump into the next boulder and explode? You just clarified that you did,so thank you. I guess my little red just needs to eat his greens and get more power behind him ;) As I said though it didn’t matter because the aftermath of the rockets rampage soon took care of it.
Great @jlz-666, great score!
Same here for 137k. That and a few hundred restarts.
Thanks for the first shot, @bernersenn
@burpie glad to help
Sorry about taking your Top score @Burpie. @Ollygod made me do it.
I shot this one numerous times using @bernersenn‘s strategy and had trouble breaking through 130k. Then I hit two 138k’s within three flings of each other. Both were two birders.
Tip: Shoot the first shot slightly less than full speed. But just slightly less.
Thanks, great strategy @bernersenn
@Rat you’re welcome. A giant score – you’re really extreme good.
@bernersenn I can’t figure what I’m doing wrong? I hit the little rock into the stone lava clew, and red bounces and hits the rocket thingie. but then the whole stucture swings up and hits the lava rock before it get to the above stone clew? I usually have to send bomb bird in..help
ty ;)
Hi @Kathy you’re not doing anything wrong. I managed to do this just once – could never repeat it. It’s the same as in #14, when you hit that canister on the right spot – you get high scores, if not…
So, keep trying, once you will manage (I hope)
@3star-jeff magnificent score, care to share your strategy, please…..
I am not sure exactly what I did, but I think I kept aiming the first bird at the propulsion tank. I kept trying to hit it in different places and it just happened similar to the walkthrough except the bottom portion spun into the gravity of the moon and everything was destroyed. It was probably a one in a million shot.
Thank you for replying. I guess I’ll just have to keep plugging away!
I need some serious help here for the Challenge, so I’m asking @bernersenn & @rat9 along with the 3 most improved so far @comex666, @hoy49 & @gladvold.
I read bernersenn post & looked at pic & I’m still really confused as to where I’m supposed to be aiming & what it’s supposed to hit. I guess it’s because I haven’t played some of these BI levels enough to understand the terminology …. example is I have no idea what the cited “clew” is. I know the word as nautical reference but can’t figure its definition here so not only don’t I understand where to aim, I don’t understand what I’m hoping will happen with this shot.
I see 2 things which actually explode. I call 1 a lava asteroid (red molten lava attached on south side to large stone/boulder) & the other on the right side is an exploding canister/flux capacitor which has the moving energized blue lightening bolt inside & 2 9-pane blue squares attached. On the left side, in front of sling, is what the ABN description refers to as the gas container but it doesn’t explode.
As to boulders or stones …..
I see a large round boulder to the southwest of large lava asteroid.
I see a small rectangular stone above the exploding canister/flux capacitor.
I see an even smaller little round pebble or rock above the small rectangular stone.
If 1 or more of you ors anyone would be so kind as to try again to explain what I’m supposed to hit & what’s supposed to happen or what I’m hoping will happen I would be so grateful as I’m just about at the bottom of most improved with 127400 on iPad using video method; I just didn’t need 3rd bird. I started more than 10k below average, so at least I’m improving, but I’m truly lost with how these high 130s are obtained.
@justpast40
hit the stone (left from lava), stone hit the stone with lava, so, that he drift right.
the lava must explode , by using the stone (right from lava-stone), not from gas-tank.
red bird hit gas-tank and activate the tank.
tank with stone on it activate the flux capacitor.
second bird on lower right planet to kill the pigs and make many points.
i will make a video on MAC.
on PC with full speed, i have problems. i use half speed.
Oh thank you thank you @comex666. With our time difference I didn’t know when you’d have a chance to reply.
I’d been trying to hit that stone to left of lava but then read the posts and became throughly confused.
@stocktoad, I thought British & US claw were the same. If we’re confused others may also be, so whether future flingers play today or in 6 months, this should help. I started at 112k well below average so the up side is I’m now above average.
I think you are right @justpast40 and British and US claw is the same, SO…………. I think we still need someone to explain “clew” The nautical definition doesn’t seem to make much sense. Come on @bernersenn please explain. You used the word and just changing it to stonegroup doesn’t doesn’t give us a hmmmmm…. clue to clew.
I’m right here with you @justpast40 I always thought when “clew” was used that it was just a British spelling of claw. Stone claw makes some sense as the gnarly stone things sort of look like animal feet. Anyway, I am waiting for @comex666 ‘s video with bated breath as I can’t figure how to get the small stone to hit the “clew” stone and move it far enough to have the lava go off by hitting the next rock. All I can do is bounce red off the small rock into the gas tank and have the lava go off with the gas tank. That gives results very much like the walkthrough even though the lava explodes a little farther to the right because of the hit by the small stone.
hH @justpast40 and @stocktoad!! I’m British and I’ve never heard the word “clew” either, so maybe just a typo. Now – if you want to debate the difference between aluminum and aluminium, that’s another story lol…..:))
@peejaydee27 Don’t care about alum vs. ….anything Interesting that clew isn’t British. (I probably should have asked my friend @bikkit ) Anyway….Color vs. colour etc. etc. It is your language so I think I should be respectful, but of course we are usually right lol.
LOL indeed @stocktoad. I worked for a US based company most of my professional life, and my boss and I teased each other mercilessly over this stuff. Great fun, and “viva la difference” as they say. No need to analyse it further (or should that be analyze?!!!).
@justpast40 trying to clear this: little stone to stonegroup with lava. That stonegroup collapses with next stonegroup, the one between the planets. Then hell breaks out. Hope this will help you.
Thanks @bernersenn I thought that might be the stone you meant, the one I call a round pebble, but I’m not even getting close to the correct angle. Maybe it’s just too precise a shot/angle for these old eyes. With @comex666 description, for now at least, I’m up to 131k, Top 50 & no longer towards the bottom of most improved, so it’s not quite as embarrassing as it was this morning.
@comex666 – congratulations on your high score and newest puppy. It is very generous of you to share your videos and straight forward strategies. You are a real asset to ABN. Regards.
@justpast40 @stocktoad

You two @comex666 & @gladvold are what makes this a great site !!! Thank you both so much for taking time to make video & post.
Comex666 congrats on your puppy.
@stocktoad, now we have 2 videos : -)
@justpast40 You’re welcome! Thanks for your kind words. Due to bad internet here today, I didn’t realize that comex666 had already posted a video, so mine was strictly speaking superfluous.
Terminology: I didn’t have a clue(!), but my dictionary tells me that CLEW can mean several things, nautical and other. It can also mean “a globe, ball, or spherical bunch; a tangled cluster of things”. So in this context I guess it’s what bernersenn refers to as “stonegroup”!
@comex666 Congratulations!
I love it when @comex666 manages to provide a video of not just the best high score strategy but THE top score on the level! I got my best score this way. Playing on an Android tablet, I did slow down the first shot very slightly, mainly to improve aim. If I slowed it down too much, the rocks with the lava clump didn’t rotate enough before being struck by the spacecraft attached to the canister, which caused the lava to explode before reaching the large boulder clump at the top right.
@justpast40 135k video:

Video now moved to YouTube

@justpast40
I’d answer your request, but I can see I’m too late. @Comex666 has already said everything I could plus a video. Besides, I’m in morning from losing yet another top score. ha ha ha
Congratulations on another puppy @Comex666. This was a tough one.
@rat9 did you get up early or did you mean mourning!
@justpast40 here we go again, chucking in towel, picking up towel, and finally skulking off to bed…
@comex666 another puppy! You are a truly great flinger
@hunnybunny don’t give up & skulk yet. Earlier I had a 1-birder for 128k on iPad which was less than my 131k……it ticks me off that I looked up too late to launch #2 because I believe it cost me a great score, probably not a puppy, but nonetheless a great score. I did just manage 132250 on iPhone, so slowly I’m improving … 20k from where I started. Keep trying you’ll get there
@gladvold while your video was similar to comex666, as I recall his was a 1-birder & yours a 2-birder, so yours was much needed. I just wish my old Android phone could be updated so that I could have access to record on Everplay, but it’s too old for Andorid updates.
I hear you about bad internet. Until this past Dec we had wireless broadband with a 1x connection as nothing else was available. We paid the local cable company quite a bit of money to run 1/4 mile of cable from where it had ended to our house … 130% the cost of my 1st car in 1977 which was a new car; it would have been double but there’s another house in between & when it hooks up they’ll have to pick up the other 1/2. Hubby can’t believe the difference between the old connection which barely worked at the speed of dial-up x2 to this cable internet speed … so when you say slow internet, of all people, I understand. I almost misssed a puppy when the internet on our home’s Hotspot stopped & I could not upload score … I had to drive down the road to get a signal on my Android phone so I could upload score, strategy & proof …. now that’s an AB addiction
@justpast40 that surely is the saddest addiction story ever! But it’s my bed time (well past, in fact) so no puppy for me. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve played this level, long before today’s challenge, Beak was just one of those episodes that I took too…..
@gladvold keep posting those videos, they help tremendously
@Hunnybunny
Both ha ha ha
I’m getting very good at hitting the white triangle instead of the canister when bouncing Red off of the rock.
All I can say is that persistence pays off and good luck…
I’m reminded why I don’t play to much of this. Constant ads for one. This level is just too ridiculous. No skill involved whatsoever.
