Our strategy for Angry Birds Angry Birds Space Beak Impact level 8-13 is to send the Orange bird around the bottom planet, so that it lands on the top right lava rock. The resulting chain explosions should clear all the pigs. The strategy shown yields a score of 87,740.

Issue with Angry Birds 2 and windows
@Dawn @Rat — Congrats on your high scores! Would appreciate any additional tips. Thanks
@mvnla2 – While I’m not Dawn or Rat, I do feel that I have some tips that may help you. I will say straight off that I got my score using the video method and a heaping pile of luck.
This level is highly dependent on the flaming embers of the molten asteroids not blowing themselves up, flying off the top of the screen, or drifting slowly down and not exploding. I’ve spent hours trying to recreate my high score so that I can explain what happened (and failed, I might add), but I have managed to get scores in the low to mid 90k range using a two bird method.
1st bird- Just like the video, and totally dependent on luck. Ideally you’d like to clear all piggies and have a score around the 60k -65k mark, but more is almost always better.
2nd bird- If there is a significantly dense debris field, generally provided by the structure closest to the slingshot (with the satellite dish) and associated rocks, you can bomb them into oblivion and get far more points than you would have received for the bird had he gone unused.
* as a variation: If all the piggies don’t die on the first shot, all is not lost. When the piggies closest to the gravity well remain, and the satellite structure drifts down towards it, you can explode both with the bomb bird and see 90k+ scores sometimes.
Unfortunately, any strategy for this level will be unreliable, since luck is a fickle thing. My best advice to you is to just keep flinging, the luck will be on your side eventually.
@Lyrian — Thanks! I didn’t ask you, because I’m not familiar with your name, and didn’t know if you were willing to post strats. Your strat has a lot of useful detail; will be back in a while to see if my luck improves. If you’re interested, there is a hot but friendly competition on Beak Impact going on in the Bloated Pig:

You’ll also get free food and drinks on your first visit.
Hope you continue to post and enjoy the comradery of the nest.

@lyrian, followed your strat and it finally works. Thanks for it. Bird 2 uses your first alternative, so all the piggies were already killed.
Yay! Grats @bernersenn, luck levels can be so frustrating.
I did the same @lyrian ;-) Thank you! I’m so mad though…I got 98770 but when I went to take a pic…my game crashed! Wahhhh!!! I got the pic:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/lesleyg/album/picture/9554/
But when I opened the level back up it was still at my previous high of 96370…now I will be obsessed with trying to get at least the 98770 I earned! UGH!!!
Oh no! I’m so sorry your game crashed @lesleyg! I’m glad that my strategy helped you increase your score, hopefully you score even more next time. That will show your game who’s boss!
Thanks @lyrian , I hope so too and congrats on your great score ;-)
@lesleyg You earned that 98,770 the hard way, but you never posted it! :)
@kelani – Thank you…but I didn’t think I should? I mean I did in fact earn it and when I went to take the “screen” to share the trajectory, I stupidly made my iPad close the app…so when I re-opened it, it didn’t show…I guess I thought I shouldn’t post it since it won’t match my Game Center score…all though sometimes it doesn’t always match up anyway for whatever reason. What do you think is the ethical thing to do?
@lesleyg I’m too new to be an ethics authority, so my opinion may not count for much, but I’d post that sucker. First of all, It’s not a high score, so no proof will ever be needed. Second, it’s not higher than my score! ;D Third (and most importantly), I don’t think you could find a single person on ABN who’d ever doubt your credibility. If you earned it, then crashed trying to be your helpful self, IMO, you deserve it. :)
Think of it this way: When someone loses all their data due to a device crash, they’re not asked to remove their scores. This is no different.
As far as Game Center, after that leaderboard glitch when Beak came out, a lot of scores don’t match up. Plus, there’s troublemakers like me who play on iPad and PC :)
If you’re serious about wanting extra points, you might want to try the north approach. It’s not easy but you can get almost total destruction with it.
1st Shoot OB a little above the white triangle on the upper left module. Activate closer to the right tip than the left. You’ll need to play with the height and activation point. You want the majority of the module and the left two pig drilling outfit to enter the gravity field on the left planet. The large boulder mass needs to move lower as well. This will clear a path for the second shot.
2nd Shoot bomb bird barely north over the now lower boulder mass and activate about halfway between it and the lava boulder grouping. You want the left side of the lava mass to travel southwardly before they touch.
Nothing left to do but watch sweet destruction including that pesky group of debris that seems to always be left on the lower planet.
Thanks @rat9, after just a few dozen flings, I managed a small, 8.6k, improvement on iPad to 96910 & while I haven’t broken 100k, it’s #12 on Leaderboard for now.
One thing I want to add for future readers/flingers, is that for this score, after the 1st shot, the left pig drilling contraption did not end up in the lower planet gravity field as expected, so if that happens, you don’t necessarily need to give up & restart. It had actually moved down & to the right after the 1st shot. I’m not sure just how far the large boulder mass rat9 refers to as needing to move down had actually moved, but I shot the 2nd shot pretty much as rat9 describes given my setup & things fell into place with the explosion & “shock wave,” & lucky me, the force of the “shock wave” sent the left pig drilling contraption just far enough left so that part of it entered or got caught in the gravity field of the planet that I’d expected it to fall into after shot #1.
I also fling on my Android phone & that score is abysmal, it’s 82240 & because of the small screen/resolution & my 55 yr old eyes, I think this 1st shot is so…….. much more difficult, but difficult is what we do ; -)
Thank you @rat9 Needed a break from the “hands of the gods” first throw I’d been using. The unpredictability of where the lava rocks would landing was getting tedious. This is much more fun! Upped my score by 9k. Cheers!
Always a pleasure @JLZ666.
Thanks @rat9 for posting the Great RatStrat I improved about 10k gonna keep at it.. still get some points i see; )
@justpast40 thanks for the added tips very helpful to know not to despair and hit restart ..I hardly get that double trouble duo to get sucked into the gravity field..usually his arm just breaks off:/
Happy flinging; )
You’re welcome @kathy, since I didn’t achieve the initial desired result, but in the end was somewhat successful, I thought others might benefit. It may only happen 1/100 (guessing) but that’s better than 1/200
Lol @justpast40 yep 1/100 is much better;
Still can’t break the 100k mark but eh’ I improved enough for now; )
93740/2
thx to @rat9 for the great details
here my video:
https://youtu.be/Wrk_HZyYNuc
Thanks for this video it worked well for me. For those on BlueStacks the coordinates are 1. X 33.2 Y 48.92 and 2. X 31.9 Y 48.991. Activation points you will have to work out. Gets good scores around 6/10.
I noticed something neat that works especially well with @Rat9‘s strategy, but it works for any strategy. Any debris on the planet’s surface will frequently do that “walking” effect, where it slowly slides around the planet’s surface. It’s possible to slowly get lots of points as all the debris destroys itself. (Anchors Aweigh, anyone?) OK, not millions of points, but enough for a good score. After your 1st shot, check for moving debris on the surface and if points are accruing, wait til they stop. After your second shot, do it again, and don’t auto-reset should a pig survives the fall! If stuff is moving, a piece of debris will usually kill him…eventually.
I noticed that also @kelani pretty cool.. ads up alot of points sometimes especially if the two piggies are trapped under the debris and being dragged around. .hee hee..
@kelani did that help with your score? I ask because is it worth waiting ? Its cool to watch but if it’s not going to help then ‘meh should I bother waiting?
@Kathy well, you need almost all the debris gone for a good score, so if there’s still debris floating around, it won’t help. But if the explosions clear out space, and you’ve got pigs & a pile of debris walking around the planet, count how many points you’ll have after pigs die and bonus birds are counted. If that puts you 5k (or less) from a high score it may be worth waiting a few mins.
Here is a video of “extreme walking”: http://youtu.be/ecf7jt485DM
The boulder and the pig have already turned several times around the planet by the time I thought to start recording this, so I’m pretty sure it would have continued forever. And even if it didn’t, I wouldn’t have beat my highscore so I sent Terence to seal the deal. He didn’t!
Maybe this should be in the unstable levels?
@mvnla2 I don’t think it should at this point. All through Space, that walking effect happens on lots of small planetoids with grav fields.
Followed @rat9 strategy. Took me two and a half days to get the score I have. Next time I’m going to make sure I’m looking at the right level. Was looking at 8-12 the whole time on he leaderboard tryin to figure out how they were getting 107k so I kept playing and trying until I realized I was on 8-13. Ugh!! Or duh!!
Whatever it was @CoffeeKing, it worked. You kept motivated until you got a great score. CongRATz!
Thank you. You’ve made it a hard act to follow. :-) all I figure is if someone is able to get top score then there are that many points to be had. Or at least close. You’re a excellent “slinger” Now I’m trying to get close on 8-14.
Minor variation I use is to aim Orange at the moon above, about quarter of way along lowest crater so Orange lands on top of square structure, just behind white triangle. Orange inflates and pushes structure down into gravity often taking drilling platform as well.
Bomb bird to gap between rock and lava – wait and see how your luck is. 94k so far but been clocking up points when timed out.
Used a modified @rat9 strategy same variation as described by @dasa51 bouncing OB of the upper moon. The logic for me was that this meant that OB arrived in more or less the correct place each fling and self inflated.
After many many flings the AB luck factor finally kicked in and one of the bolides streaked down the right hand side clearing every thing out on the right side including the bottom right rock agglomeration. Amazingly the big rock agglomeration with the piece of wood sticking out like a nose survived the destruction. Timed out almost immediately so no post apocalyptic picture unfortunately. Still debris remaining means possible higher score available. This was a really hard grind.
High score 104070

Congratulations on the high score @baldyhog1505 and your Puppy for the achievement !!!
I’m looking forward to learning what strategy you used.
All the Best ~ Uncle B
Humm….. HOGsbest took the time to play in the Challenge and post a new High Score, but then didn’t bother to take the extra time to post a screenshot and strategy to collect his Puppy. That’s odd…..
just saying….. When I’m fortunate to win a Puppy in the Daily Challenge you can bet on it that I’ll be here to collect the little critter ~ LOL !!!
90330/1
First shot just like the video, second shot…wait, do the math…don’t throw it… you just got a better score…
I managed to improve by a thousand. There was a lot of debris left on the screen but I have no idea how to get it without pure luck.
