Welcome to outer space for the first time in normal gameplay! Summer Pignic level 17 takes place on a low-gravity planet, so birds travel at much flatter trajectories and may take some getting used to. Our strategy is to fire the first Black bird into the triangular stone block the main structure. It is most important to pop the pigs on the right side. In the video, we get lucky and pop the pig on the left cart as well, but you can bomb him with the White bird too. The score in the video below is 75,770.

75000 can be done with one bird aimed right and some luck.

Aim the bomb directly in the triangle rock and it should destroy everything with a bit of luck! ;)
After a few tries, 82,410. I did the same exact thing but the things didn’t fall right. I guess it all depends on luck.

76780 with 1 bird, lodging the bomb in the neck of the lunar lander.
69210, 3 stars. Shoot the bomb bird so that it will land above the second stone head pig. This should take out the pig on the space kart, the pig below the structure, the pig in the structure, the pig that is closest to the structure to the right, and the pig on the lower edge. Then, just use the white bird to take out the last pig.
72,360 shoot bomb at midpoint of tower and detonate before it settles. Pushed tower to right taking out pigs on right and pig in car rolled and died. WB took out last bird. 1bird left.
81980, 1 bird. Aim at the wooden trigular block and take out everything.
The bomb bird does not destroy the wooden triangle. Must be some space aged wood.
Right? And apparently pigs in space ( I know) are much more resilient since it takes a lot of damage to kill them.
This is the first truly challenging Summer Pignic level for me. I’ve gotten good at aiming the birds in space but the darn pigs just won’t die!

Been trying 1 bird straight to middle from start but always left with pig under wooden A frame. 78k so far.
78,780, one bird aimed at triangular block in spaceship took out all pigs!
81180 – one bird into the left hand triangular stone on the space craft.
Haven’t gotten more than 82980 so far. This has to be done with one bomb bird…I’m aiming a little over the wooden structure. Hard to break a lot of stuff for points.
Anyone feel they should’ve made a completely separate space episode? Maybe I’ll go tell Rovio as I’m in Helsinki, Finland. :)
so far 86,150 with 2 birds. 1st bird into middle concrete triangle, still had the last pig in the wood left so took him out with white bird. 1 bird left, took alot of tries!
One of the worst levels yet, imo. A complete shift in theme, glitchy and luck-driven physics. Blah.
I don’t agree that the physics are glitchy or more luck based than usual. There’s less gravity, but taking that into account the physics are sound. It takes a few tries to get used to, but then you can aim with about as much accuracy as usual.
I’m up to 83,560, in the same one bird method most people have used. Take out the left triangular stone at the ‘waist’ of the structure, and it works best when it nestles in underneath the wooden triangle before exploding.
Physics are sound? TYhere is no oxygen in space, therefore the explosions would be so quick you couldnt see them, certainly no fireball. And thats assuming there is an oxidizer within the bomb. Also, no sound in space.
I know when Im shooting birds from a slingshot that destroy wood, ice, and concrete by dive bombing, splitting into 3, drop exploding eggs, or themselves turning into a bomb I want it as realistic as possible.
Let’s not forget that this is a game called, “Angry Birds”. The the premise being one where you fling birds that can’t fly at pigs who have built forts out of various materials on various worlds. Last I checked most birds aren’t angry, pigs can’t build…anything, and only live on earth.
I have to say that this isn’t my favorite either. I don’t mind the gravity; it’s kind of fun getting used to it. I find it frustrating, though, that you can make essentially the same shot ten times and get ten wildly different results. There is always an element of this to Angry Birds, but much more so in space.
I probably should not have used the word “glitchy,” which implies some unforeseen bug in the game. But to my eye and experience, the game-physics in this level are definitely inconstant, regarding, for example
— what types of impacts send things into the air,
— wood that sometimes bounces, sometimes smashes,
— items that sometimes roll and sometimes don’t (on a hill!).
This more than just an effect of the new gravity. Many of the small differences are leading to big and unpredictable effects. The fact that so many people are attributing their high scores to luck seems to bear this out, somewhat.
And how about the metal that will sometimes pop a pig, no problem, but a fraction lower in its fall will just rest lightly on its helmet? Hardly any middle-ground on those righthand piggies.
It ain’t easy sometimes performing a difficult task with precision, especially with so little in the way of reference. But it can be done as I do something similar at my job on a recurring basis.
I know that ain’t all that helpful and I wish I could do more. This level does surprise me though, that, given the difficulty of the shot, that the destructive “sweet spot” is so small, seemingly just a few pixels, at most.
1st bird into the triangle block is key, after a bunch of tries the blocks fell right & killed all the pigs – 81200. Aim a bit too high or low and it doesn’t work quite right…
84840 using the method many of you have described. Launch first bomb bird so that it becomes lodged in the lander at the grey triangle stone/block. Took several attempts, but finally took out all the pigs with just that bird. +20,000 pts with remaining birds as bonus. I wouldn’t be surprised for avg score on this level to be in the 80-82K range for players. Good luck everyone!!!
87,520 with 1 black bomber bird to middle of structure at triangle just above slanted wood. Blew upper part of structure up and it collapsed and destroyed almost everything..90k is possible I think.
MY father did about 85000 point! he was so lucky!
he destroyed everything, and one pig was left.
If this pig would have died, my father was supposed to make about 95K!!

A lot of people are aiming for high scores in addition to three stars.
81k after a few tries and finally hitting the key triangular block at the “waist” of the ship that destroys all pigs with one bird. I’m not so much a fan of these one bird levels that involve some to a lot of lucky destruction.

what I really don’t like about this level is the fact that the ‘A’s are designed in a way that you hardly ever see in that the are completely joined together making them almost impossible to destroy with the birds available the best chance you have to get that bird is to tip it over. something that’s hard to do because of the foot.
In my experience that’s the most damage resistant structure I’ve seen to date in this game
does anybody noticed that in the space levels the birds like floating when you shoot them…. i mean if you swing too high the bird will fly to .. i’don know, just very looong
It’s because there is no gravity in space.
Agree with other comment – shoot first black bird into left triangular stone in middle of spaceship. Try to ‘drive’ bomb as far into middle of ship as possible. Explosion throws lots of stuff into the air & you have to hope with luck that not only all pigs die but also that stuff is destroyed to run up your points total. the high score on the leader board is obscene as usual. This level is more luck than skill so not as fun.
Low gravity environment, like the g-egg level, is certainly an interesting concept.
90k is definitely achievable. I’ve had 85k with one bird plus on a second attempt I had what would have been 91k had that awkward bird under the ‘A’ frame popped.
Yes I am using the same method as the video. I have found I have lower points if I one bird it. Two times at around 80,430. Both on the ipad and ipod. Two birded it ipad 81,890, and ipod two birds 81,290. Just need the sweet spot on the first bird shot to up the score.
Those A frames are very springy although I white birded it once and got it. I have found the pig under the left A frame, has ended up, (has happened a few times) with a cement pup tent over it, after I have shot the first black one, and blew things up. Thought it rather suitable for the scene.

it wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for that little foot to the a that makes it almost impossible to flip.
I hate levels like this were it really does seem to be luck.
if you’re someone who can hit 80000+ regularly please post a video. The margin for error seems to be so small on this level that aim for the left grey triangle really doesn’t help. because i swear 7 out of 10 times i’ll hit that and maybe 2 birds will be destroyed in the blast.
I wouldn’t say I can do it regularly, but I have done it a handful of times. That is after several hundred tries, and most of those hitting exactly where I wanted. Just to give you an idea of what percentage of times it actually works.
I’ve tried a ridiculous number of times tonight, occasionally getting over 80, but not beating my score of 83k from early today. I FINALLY improved on it and got 88k! I am so sick of looking at this level and can’t wait for the new one.
83400, aim the triangle in the middle of the spaceship, one bird got the job done.
80950, one bird
Aimed the bird at lower part of the two horizontal bars where it meets with the triangle brick. This breaks the slanted bar and adjacent vertical bar. The bomb then drops down to the lower square block. I don’t tap the screen to set the bomb off, instead, just let it set off by itself. This basically split the the moon module in half with right half taking out the three pigs to right, and the left half taking care of the top and two left pigs. I am sure a higher score can be had with one bird.
