@admins
alternate strategy.
Send yellow bird on a high arc and aim to just clip the right side of the star on the way down. This should cause the right structure to topple slightly backwards bring the ice ball down through the ice blocks and triggering the slide.
If you’re lucky, some debris will topple backwards from the far left end and explode the structure below for a one bird finish.
The score can be pretty variable (debris down below?). I’ve cleared up everything for just over 201,000 but it’s sometimes much lower.
I suspect we’ll all be around the same score by the end of today.
Can’t really see any way of increasing a one bird strategy with everything gone.
@greybrow53 correct. Grabbed a picture of it:
Seasons Ski or Squeal #1-18
I think the scores will vary as in the levels #12 and #13.
Yup, little more to add. Must admit I’m not relishing a whole day trying to improve by babfew measly points. But hey, that’s what we do this time of year, it’s the spirit of AB Christmas!!

@bikkit It’s also in the spirit of cut-throat competiton! :D
Sorry, but I seriously doubt that. As it stands I have top in 12 and it is 17k over average.
In fact, I´m so certain that the difference here between top and average will never exceed 10k that I promise to eat something inedible and post it to youtube, should that ever happen.
Should the fulfilment of this promise ever become current I´m sure there will be no shortage of suggestions ;-D
Got 198k using this strategy!!
New score is 200k!! Not too much to this level!!
one thing I do on a level like this is, if I fail at the first bird…. I fire the other 2 just to see what the maximum points I can get using all the birds. It’s a side competition I play with my girlfriend too, lol…. but it can yield some useful info
Mind you, it has to be said that, if you get the strategy right on the first shot in the video, yellow bird can bounce back and fall through the lower structure for a one bird shot as well.
If you fancy another (but no better) strategy, try a shoot the moon shot with a fractional delay between launching and triggering. This should bring yellow down on top of the boat triggering some to fall backwards into the lower structure.
I once managed to get six of the ice blocks to go backwards over the edge making the whole destruction piece much more straightforward but no idea why it happened. ?
Not a huge amount to add however…
I have better one-bird luck with a first shot similar to the video but skimming the top of the structure. When I hit the ice ball from a shallow angle the structure kind of jerks against the snow shelf when the ball drops. This almost always sends debris over the left side; whether it’s enough to blow the stove is the question. I’m at 196,990 but want 200 with this method.
My best TWO-bird clear is using the @greybrow53 high arc method. I got 189,700 doing that which is 10k higher than when the first bird skims. Go figure.
One question – is anyone else getting the intermittent static, no sound thing on this level and others? Sorry if this has already been discussed at length as I haven’t read the comments on all levels this year. My fav is still On Finn Ice (the wind and chimes are genius) but I’m enjoying this one! Happy Holidays, all!
Yes, I have been getting the low sound/static effect.
I have had zero sound since the last update.
Have been debating on uninstalling and reinstall, but I have not yet for fear of losing my scores.
Cleared in one bird with absolutely nothing left on screen and only 194k. Where are these extra points coming from?
My lowest one birdie with clear screen is 189280.
Lowest one birdie scores with stuff on screen are around 180k.
With two birds my top score was 192k.
I found it easier to shoot a lower arc, avoid hitting the star, and activate at the last second. Almost a bloated pig approach.
Howdy @rat9! I didn’t think you played Seasons. Now I know I have no chance at #1.
My very first shot on this level accumulated 199320. Took a few more shots and came here to see where everyone is at with their scores. “Oh good a fairly easy level” I said to myself. ? Went back and have been playing for two hours with only one score close to what I got on my 1st shot which was to go through upper pigs cowboy hat into ice rock. Yellow flew back into lower structure as the rock jerked the whole thing which a bit more of wood and lady pig fell into lower structure. Scores all depend on how much goes at the same time I suspect.
A bit of an update from my last post. I didn’t watch the video prior to posting the last post so I didn’t realize I was doing it similar to video. I was shooting so that chuck would go through the cowboy hat as I said before but making chuck go as even across to the ice rock as possible. I was able to snap a pic of trajectory so hope it helps others. At this point 2nd place. A LOT of rinse and repeats.

@coffeeking, thanks very much for the picture. Still have to finish a few levels of this episode and was stuck at 195K. Improved 2K, only 600 below average, will give it another try!
@josephine looks like you were able to get above average. I really enjoyed “ski or squeal” I’m currently just finishing up “fairy hogmother”. Not as fun as this one. Enjoy the rest of the levels. ?
would people say this is a level where the slower things crumble the better (score-wise) ?
I have been having the most success flinging yellow in a way so that you have to activate him about half way to his destination (the blue boulder)
Seems to give the right amount of bounce
Waaahh again no Christmas Carol, where are you @fatboyslick ? You can’t n just start a tradition and then stop it:(
Anyway i flung yb through the top of the free cowboy hat and flipped off the glass ball for a one birder, I’m happy above average anyway:)
@kathy I put a pic of the trajectory I used for a decent score. I’ve found in the 3 scores I’ve got that were decent is chuck needs to fly back after hitting the ice-rock into some of the wooden structure which chuck and some debris would fall into the lower house. I always seemed to get better scores when all the ice blocks would fall at the same time as the house below blew. I hope this helps you a little bit unless you’ve decided to move on. Merry Flinging ?
Thanks @coffeeking I had missed your pic of the trajectory, but see it now that i scroll up, appreciate the note:) and congratulations on the great score:)
Haven’t moved on yet but soon need to go back through some earlier levels for clean up:/
No idea what i meant by’free’ cowboy lol
See @greybrow53 your not the only one that the ‘autocorrect’ or Hoodoo voodoo lol..i didn’t even type anything close to ‘free’ haha
My theory …electronic keyboards are plotting to take over the communication of the country Hahaha!! Soon they will only type what they want us to really say;)?
@kathy sorry. I should’ve put the link on my response to you. :-)
Geez! The builder of that lower house deserves a design award. It would cling on even during a magnitude 10 earthquake!!
Finally! Maybe my earlier comment works like one of your famous “whines” @kathy :-))
Hee hee @peejaydee27 The power of the post works again, and it Was kinda a whinne lol, and so true ,those piggies have some secret when it comes to building! Super glue maybe lol..
A SLOW developing, reliable one birder (NOT for the impatient):
1. Boost Chuck in a low arc to take out the leftmost lower tier ice block (just above thin ice sheet).
2. Chuck drops onto lower structure, taking it out.
3. Upper wooden house de-stabilizes and slowly crumbles to the left.
4. The leftward crumbling pushes the rest of the upper structure off the cliff to the right.
The de-stabilization and crumbling of the upper house develops VERY slowly. As long as there is motion, stay with it. If the movement stops, then re-set.
Thank you @philsey for posting your strategy. It took my score to above average. The challenge was to get the yellow bird to fall to take out the lower structure and not get trapped by the upper ice block. Had a couple of times where there was no movement of the upper wood house but that was rare.
193180/1
@philsey That’s still the strategy which works best for me, thanks!
