Sometimes, there are special little shots I blunder across that are worth sharing, and here I have found a rather excellent (if I say so myself) shot with Stella that is a complete joy when it works… and I have made it work a fair few times now.

First, I use the first red to hit the upper thin horizontal plank of the nearest platform … damage varies but it is an extra shot to weaken that structure.
Then to the Stella shot… basically, you want to bounce Stella off of the curve of the largest tank turret behind the gun so she bounces up and above the little sidearms of the crows nest thingy and activate her … sometimes the bubbles will lift that wooden structure high enough, and often the hanging TNT fires too .. the shot you want is where the TNT explodes sending a lovely cascade of wood over the upper right hand shelf to release the caged Chuck one shot early and with Matilda in hand.

Thank you @habanero for posting your strategy. It still works as mentioned. The challenge was the second bird and not to hit the cloud like hanging structure. Had to use additional birds to come the level with the far right lower pig but was able to obtain an above average score.

Same strategy as in the video, except that only 3 birds were used.

Obviously more than 300k is possible, so I guess this topscore won’t last long.

Darn Tinypic @asher i can not see your final result lol! Did you experience any instability that contributed to your score? Or just plain like the video? I’ve,without instability, acheived almost complete clearance but still can’t get near my previous 282k 😞 I’m missing something? I’ve even cleared with 2 birds, had a one birder a few times but obviously not clearing a lot.

Unstable level. Tank-like contraption with spinning wheel sometimes starts to rock back and forth and finally topples over, doing a lot of damage for +/- 57K. Happened several times now but haven’t improved my 261K score with it yet. Have a screen shot if anyone interested.
@admins – please advise if anyone is tracking unstable/self-destruct levels. I’ve seen on the thread that @mvnla2 is no longer doing this. Thanks.

@peejaydee27 The instability still exists! 2 years later almost amazing lol with all the useless ‘fix a bug’ updates ! I just had the wheel wobble but only got 37k from it.
Your right @mvnal2 is no longer tracking the unstable or self destruction forum, I do miss her, she was an asset to the Nest and a good friend. @sweetp is trying but she’s got so much other stuff to take care of in the Nest. Wish we could find someone with the skills and the time to do it, alas , the good old days have passed.
I’m just getting around to this episode, haven’t even got most above average yet!
Any thing you can add would help, in any of these levels lol, i left PW1 at rank 36😞 I’m trying @Habanero strat on this one.

Just played for half an hour an had just one self destruct. This time the whole lot came down in a kind off chain reaction, giving me a zero birder for 270K. Would have been 280K but Chuck was left in his cage! Will keep at it as it’s quite a fun level.

Still trying to get above average but at least I see that there are recent scores. This level is tricky; you need to get several good breaks in a row.
