The wait is over for PC users! Angry Birds Seasons (v2.0.0) — complete with Ham’o’ween — has launched for PC and is available for download at download.angrybirds.com! Special thanks to DStone for being the first to see it. We expect an update for Mac soon. Remember, PC has the distinct advantage that Rovio can push the update to live without approval from Apple.
Update: Seasons has landed in the Mac App Store as well.
Below is some Q&A, which is basically the same as for the other versions of the app from the standalone site.
- Where do I download it and how much does it cost?
- To download Angry Birds, Rio, or Seasons on your PC head over to download.angrybirds.com. Each version is $4.95 to purchase, but there are free demos available that you can upgrade from without losing your progress.
- How to I download and install Angry Birds, Rio, or Seasons on my PC?
- To download the demo or to purchase the full game head over to, download.angrybirds.com. Once downloaded you can install Angry Birds or Angry Birds Rio just like any other application. If you have trouble follow the simple setup guide that Rovio created.
- I bought an activation key, now how do I activate it?
- To activate the game, you must enter a serial number that can be purchased online. Once you receive the activation key via email launch the game and click the “Activate Full Version” button. Now, copy and paste the key into the “Enter the key” field and click “Register the key”. This will unlock all of the levels, Golden Eggs and give you access to future updates. An internet connection is required to activate the game.
- Are the free demos unlimited?
- No. It seems you can usually play the first page in the demo. (Poached Eggs Chapter 1 and Smugglers Den Chapter 1.) In Seasons, it seems you can play 3 levels from each episode.
- Does the activated version have every level?
- Just about. The Mac/PC versions of apps have all levels except for the 3 Facebook/Twitter levels that some episodes have.
Update: It is possible that the Facebook/Twitter levels may be added in the future. See the correspondence in the forum.
- How do the controls work?
- Check out our Angry Birds control guide for the complete control schema.
- How are future updates delivered?
- The update checker in-game runs once per day. If an update is available, it will prompt you when you launch the app. Some users have had issues with this, so you can manually download new updates by grabbing new .exe files from the Angry Birds Shop.
- Are they available for purchase outside the USA?
- Yes, you can purchase and activate the games from anywhere in the world!
- If I download and play the demo version will I lose my progress if I decide to upgrade to the full version?
- From what we can tell you will NOT lose your progress when you upgrade.
- Does it work on Windows Vista?
- Yes. The system requirements are: OS Windows XP SP2, RAM 512MB, CPU 1 GHz, Graphic OpenGL 1.3 compatible, Internet Connection required for activation
- Does it work on 64-bit version of Windows 7?
- Yes, though it installs as a 32-bit application.
- When will it be available through Intel AppUp
- This we don’t know. Maybe never, maybe tomorrow.
- Can I share my activation key with my friends?
- No. Per the Rovio FAQ, “A single purchase only allows for single-user use. The activation key is valid for three installs so you can install the game on your desktop or laptop with a single key”. Note, this makes it sound like you can up install it on your laptop AND PC with a single key, but from what I’ve heard this is not the case. It’s 3 installs on a single device (i.e. You can install and uninstall 3 times with the same key).
Wow….I was so excited, been waiting way toooooo long. But Rovio doesn’t have their site ready. Main purchase screen still says coming soon. Finally found the right place, instead of clicking the download now link, which goes nowhere, I clicked, checkout now. That took me to the shopping cart and I was all ready to give my numbers and PLAY….but the purchase won’t go through. Just spins and spins….says waiting for paypal, so maybe its paypal that’s down at the moment. How frustrating does this need to be?

Not sure why it wouldn’t work. That’s the route for the .exe file. Have you tried another browser? Disable pop-ups? Etc.

That drm is the direct link. You enter that drm and you are prompted to Save/Run/Cancel the download.

WHAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT????!?!??!?!!! OMGWTFBBQ!!!!! I was just a few hours away from ending my AB career and all of a sudden THIS??!??!!! There IS still life left in AB for PC. Looks like I will still keep AB games after all. So maybe there’s still hope for AB Rio Episode 5. :D
I’d forgotten what a pain SG 16 and 17 were. The others weren’t so bad because I started from scratch on all versions of AB on my new phone last summer, and still remembered my techniques, but 16 and 17 are awful!
I know, they took me so long to 3 star as well! I swear, if I said that I spent 3 hours on each that would be an understatement! Keep plugging away, though, you’ll get it eventually.

Yes I heard about how long you PC users had to wait. Can’t wait for new ways to beat levels in seasons now that the PC has it.
Well, we’re still waiting for the last update to ABR… and PC doesn’t have all the fancy accomplishments, feathers, and other bonuses that the mobile version(s) do… but that’s ok.
Oh… and it’s a high probability that PC users will never see the Mighty Eagle either. But.. who knows, maybe Rovio will want to keep all their platforms on the same level.
Only iOS has achievements because they have the 3rd party app to do so. And PC will inevitably get the Mighty Eagle, but not before Android.
For me, as long as they decide to keep PC/Mac in development with more games, and levels.. I’ll keep buying them.

You’re absolutely right. I was so close to quitting Angry Birds for good, but AB Seasons PC came in and saved my AB career at the last minute (literally). That’s right. I logged onto this site last night to post my farewell notice when I saw the AB Seasons PC version bulletin. I immediately changed my mind about giving up the game. If I had a mobile device, things would have been different. Maybe soon I will get an iPhone or something. Then I can use the Mighty Eagle.
The Mac Version will PROBABLY be released on Thursday. Thursday is the day where most Mac App Store apps are released. Cross your fingers, it may come earlier!

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this so much…
OMG finally, AB Seasons is my favorite version of AB. I completed Ham o ween levels yesterday quite easily…then I started to play 2011 levels, starting with Trick or Treat and those are much harder. I managed to get 3 stars on first two screens, now I’m on level 3-2, hopefully I’ll manage to get 3 stars on all of them before I go to sleep, I know I won’t go to bed until I finish the whole episode, this game is just too addictive :)
If You look in the files you can see the ME appear a few times and it shows an achievement sheet.

I hope PC users will get achievements too, it will make the game much more interesting to play (right now, only challenge we have is to collect 3 stars in all levels and find all of the golden eggs)

this game is pretty easy
easy? some levels really take a lot of time to get 3 stars.
i found a bug: go green get lucky and easter egg episodes contain 18 levels in iOS, android etc but in PC there are only 15 levels… the 3 levels are missing…. Can anyone confirm please???
The three level (Facebook and Twitter levels) only available on iOS and Android, this 3 levels was not available for PC……

Please help me so I can unlock that level and get the golden egg#15…. :)

Out of topic but is the Orange Bird only for a particular episode(special edition), i.e Only Ham’o’ween?
Because all the other birds feature in every episode mostly.
The Orange Bird is brand new and his launch was in Ham’o’ween. However, I believe he will be making his appearance in the other apps in future updates.
if you look in The new Winter seasons episode the orange bird is in there. also, the orange bird is also in ABo in the “happy Birdday” episode :). havent checked rio, but if itss had an update after the ham o’ ween episode im assuming it will have it as well.
