Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons Haunted Hogs level 1-2 is to launch Red directly into the lower vertical wooden block of the first tower. It should collapse to the right and detonate the tnt. The explosion, in turn should send the small boulders towards the left tower. Use a second bird to finish off if necessary. The score in the video is 106,540.

Can’t find a golden egg
the key to getting a higher score on this level is for one tower to fall over ( in my case it was the right tower) first and that to fall into the other tower (in my case the left tower) so that the gap in the middle can “empty” as blocks fall on one another and disappear so that the blocks from the next tower can fall farther and thus cause more destruction.
I sent first red bird a little higher then the video so that it hits the thicker vertical wooded plank in the middle. This knocks it out and lands on the tnt. The left tower crumbles and falls first. The stone(s) fly over to hit the vertical plank at the bottom of the right structure. Meanwhile the big stone ball from the left structure hits the right black platform right after the little stones hit, it then falls back into the center to crush everything in the middle gap before the right tower falls in. The big stone ball on the right tower crushes the remaining debris from the right tower collapse in the gap. Here a screenshot of what remained:

Nice score @lesleyg! I have been working on this level for a while now, and finally broke through the average. I can get the one bird clear pretty regularly using either this approach or the one detailed by @WereWolf69 below, but am having trouble delaying the popping of the final pig long enough to get all the middle stuff crushed. Any hints?
@burbman – sorry for the delayed reply…I don’t have any other hints other than what I posted…The best scores were always when the left tower fell first… Exactly like I described, the stones hit the vertical plank and then the Big Stone ball comes in after and kinda cleans up…It hits where the plank was and drops into the gap to demolish the stuff in the center. Then the right tumbles in, and that stone crushes the remaining debris. I hope this helped some. GL
You helped me so much again just like level 1. Thanks
There is much self destruction on this level.
Before I could throw a bird, the right hand side collapsed, yielding about 30K in points.
While I was evaluating what to do next some of the left hand structure collapsed, giving me 41K without throwing a bird. Not sure what to do next, as the entire level has changed.
cc @mvnla2
This is actually bad for the player. The ideal strategy for this level is to cause each tower to fall inward. The self-destruction of the right tower is outward. IMO, any 0-bird clear will result in scores far below 1-bird clears.
Cc: @PlayDBird @mvnla2
I have to agree with you @amslimfordy – the points come from the crushing of all the debris in the middle pit.
I had the same thing happen for 101,000. Not enough damage to amount to anything.
I’ve now hit that plank probably 50-60 times and I can’t get that thicker plank to pop out no matter where I hit it. Who knows why that happens…
If I hit where the two planks meet it’s almost always a 3star though so I’m a happy guy.
You can’t destroy that thicker block with red, the idea is to knock it off to destabilize the tower.
My red bird just bounces back off it no matter where I hit it. It makes the plank destabilize (not sure how to describe that – where it’s not quite solid anymore?).
@78RPM…I know what you mean but if you try and pull the sling back all the way and hit it really hard, it should knock it out…believe me it doesn’t happen everytime, so just keep at it and it can and will knock out for you too..GL
Nope, it just ain’t gonna go. Did it maybe 30 more times and if I hit that plank square it does the same thing. It swings out and releases the thin plank under it and swings right back on top of the ghost block. Like there’s a hinge there on the top of that plank.
I’ll take my above average and be a happy boy…
Well – it was above avg when I got it anyway!
I have been doing the same of hitting where the two planks meet. In this case the bottom one is now stone. This level is fun to watch both sides fall and luck takes over on the destruction in the middle. The big round stones do provide a lot of points as they fall through the debris.
Here’s something weird. Every time I get in the 108K score range my Galaxy locks up. 109K no problem, 107K no problem. Anyone else seen this?
I have the Galaxy SIII and 108k isn’t causing any issues here. I’ve hit that many times.
The best way to succeed in this episode, is to keep resetting until you achieve the 1-Birder as described in the video.
Correction, Not as in the video.
1) Launch your Little Red Bird so he goes through the thin plank beneath the thick one, then the following conditions “must” exist in order to achieve the 1-Birder, 1) the TNT “must” be set off by either the bird or a piece of wood. 2) the small boulders next to the TNT “must” take out the left leg of the right side structure as well as kill the bottom pig, the right side structure will topple to the left and “must” topple the left side structure as well. If all of the conditions are met, you will achieve a 1-Bird clear with a much higher score than shown in the video.
I had very little success hitting the thin plank, even if the bottom left leg of the right tower was destroyed it very rarely took out the left as it fell. I did see it roll down on the small stones which did take down the left side but this was rare & I didn’t get huge scores.
I found hitting the lower half of the thicker plank most reliable to clear this with 1 bird, the boulder on the right tower gave me a lot of points getting the debris in the gap.
Thanks @karen68 I used your advice and hit the lower half of the thick wooden plank everything fell into place nicely blowing the tnt. Didn’t take me long, i could probably improve , maybe on a second pass. Just want to get through for now.
And wow those ghost blocks are freaky!!
@kathy I guess it was good advice since you beat my score lol :D
Have fun figuring out the ghost blocks!
Oopsy @karen68 Lol ,I hadn’t even realized I scored higher than you!! Uhm sorry :/ ;)
I shot the red bird the same as the video on top, but got a one birdie. So my advice will be the same as WereWolfs orignal statement. Keep resetting and shoot for the bottom of the thick wood of the right leg. I got 120640 this way.
Here is my video.
Thanks so much for your videos @e-star. I always watch them even if I’m already following the same strategy. Sometimes they help put things clear in my head re trajectory etc and other times I just love watching the high scores happen. Unfortunately, I don’t seem to be a ‘fortunate flinger’ so just have to enjoy the success of others. Thanks again and happy flinging.
You are more than welcome @redzym Sometimes seeing the result of the strat you are working with yourself in a video or written walkthrough is believing and thus making it easier to stick with it. Hope the fling gods will grant you some fortune and a taste of success for yourself :D
I just noticed that this level was changed with the last update: they replaced the thin wooden plank with a thin stone plank. I am not sure whether this makes the level more or less difficult or how this affects the self-destructruction that this level had before the update.
Woah, just got two #2 spots in a row! This is turning out to be an excellent episode for me. Key is to hit right where the wood meets the stone, and it’ll all come down.
I was just about to write exactly what @purplepaws had already said! Hitting the wood/stone boundary is the place to be.
@AMslimfordy : I think this level has received quite changes during previous update v3.2.0 (3.3.0 not yet on PC)
Change no. 1 – The wooden stick has changed to stone.
change no.2 – There are no horizontal stone bricks in second building’s left side. Only ghost bricks.

Sorry Slim, I just saw that Change no.2 is does not change & it is fine.
Just one small change in the Change no.1 i.e. The wooden stick has changed to stone, the one which you hit during first shot in above video.
I don’t believe it changes the strategy in any significant way. Thanks for the report.
1 BIRD. Red bird through left tower, dropping debris on TNT, and blowing out bottom of right tower. 113K
It took a long time but just stick at it following the above tips and eventually you score will improve
Just hit the top score on this one. Followed @e-star vid for about two hours, can’t explain what I did differently, but suddenly the foggy blocks went and didn’t stop the progress of everything falling into the middle,
HH 1-2 top scoreI
Sorry @tiffin but I’m sure you have lots of other top scores
Same shot as in the video but only one bird and a lot more destruction. R&R and pure luck.
