Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons Haunted Hogs Bonus level 1 (which is unlocked by earning 30 stars) is to fling Yellow high over the first structure towards the left side the second structure. The right structure should slowly collapse to the left, detonating both tnt. The explosions should clear the level. The score in the video is 170,790.

The key is the lower right pig (in the left structure) in the box, or rather the box he’s in. If that breaks the left structure should fall and make it a one birder.

@thee.michelle @ernor63 @hunnybunny There are a lot of scores >70K, but only thee.michelle’s comments that it was “exactly like the video,” but with a lot of luck. Is there any hope for the unlucky? Any more hints?

@Mvnla2 I played ABS bonus levels exclusively from the time they came out til I got to the top of the leader board. Some levels I can give tips on, but this is done exactly how they say in the walkthrough. There is no other way that’ve i’ve discovered. Thee.michelle said she’d just got lucky. I think she did. There’s one level, somewhere, when I just hit the perfect shot. I’ll route around and find it and let you know, it’s one of those that probably cannot ever be repeated.
And for the record, I’d like to thank ernor63 again for his support that got me to the top

@hunnybunny — Thanks for response. I guess I get lucky every once in a blue moon. There is one level where I’m still 1, and every time I see that score, I just have to check it to make sure it isn’t a typo. I’m above average on the rest of the bonus levels; may have to give this one a rest.

@hunnybunny Great score!! Did you use the video method as stated above? I ask because you posted before @e-star video was up, not sure if maybe you tried her video,, I’ve tried both the walkthrough video and estars I’m finding Estars easier to get both tnt’s to blow, ooh and Another question , did you get the far right tnt to blow?

@kathy definitely followed the walkthrough video.
Trying to get a good clearance on the left AND the right TNT to blow simultaneously is nearly impossible. Good luck…

I have three stars on all 30 levels of Haunted Hogs, but see no sign of any bonus levels anywhere. Where are they? Are they not on iOS or something?

Thanks! My distaste for the power-ups is so strong that I have been putting off updating until for as long as possible. I didn’t realize that the bonus levels came with the update as well.

@E-Star — I know you’re working on older levels, but is there any chance you could do a high-score video for this level? I know the walkthrough video is well above average, but I am hoping for something slightly different, since I can’t seem to get above average trying to follow the walkthrough. Sigh : (

@mvnla2 Totally forgot I did play them and had some videos (but not yet ready for YouTube, think I wanted to wait for more Nesters to fill in their scores, so I know where my video stands. But seeing there will be a new update soon and your reminder, I figured I would finish them :D

I just read the strats up there and I guess I am like @foley and went in the lower (and faster couse you don’t have to wait till the high arc is done) angle and took out the second helmet pig. And I agree with him it totally depends on luck :/

I got 171030 and here is my video.

Thanks @e-star — Improved from 166K to 169K following your video. It seems much easier this way to get 3*, although it did take a while to improve (but not all that long considering this is AB).

@e-star Thanks for the video! After numerous attempts I sort of discovered this method out of sheer frustration. I’m glad to see that it can actually provide higher-than-average scores!

So,this post may also be considered my official “whining” one since I happen to be stuck at ~300 below average. :)

@jtb @sweetp I’m finally getting around to flinging these bonus levels, i never realized they count toward your overall standing, couldn’t figure out where my missing scores were!
But anyway this is my first and already I’m going to join in the whining:( and seeing is Whine Tuesdsy at the BP.. I’m going all out

Ok @e-star. I usually can get a better than average score following your videos, but can’t seem to get this one. So, because I’m at a standstill with my 166K score, I guess this is a chance for me to whhiiinnnee!!

Maybe this will help me get a higher score so I can move on to the next bonus level. Grrrr…

I tried yellow bird, just over the head of the helmeted pigs on left structure, breaking the wood on right structure, and setting of the TNT. The TNT on far right of screen did not explode. 168K

Update for all the seasons bonus levels. Rovio have not sorted the problem they were aware of. Device closing to device home on finishing a level on latest update

Used both one bird solutions as mentioned above in the video and posts. Both worked well in providing above average scores. What was interesting about this level was that I blew all three tnt boxes had good destruction with both structures but had a lower score than what I posted. Not sure what makes the points.
Also noticed that if one waits for the three star screen the level takes you out of the entire games and back to your devices home screen. I hit reply to avoid this depending on my score.

Another update to the above comments by @ixan57 and @wrw01. The glitch is still not fixed, so I guess it’s here to stay! After completing the level, the game crashes and needs to be rebooted every time after the score is added up (but before the tally screen appears). At least high score remains intact.
