Angry Birds Seasons Arctic Eggspedition level 1-5 was first available on Thursday, December 5th, 2013. Our strategy for this level is to fling Terence underwater, at a slight angle, so that he lands below the stove. The resulting explosion should clear all the pigs. The score in the video below is 95,240.

3* is 89k
Hey @Rdnzlrip83 — Congrats on the high score! Would really love to know how you got it.
@mvnla I can’t speak for ripzy but I will tell you how I beat him tomorrow when I enter my score……………..
just kidding. The underwater shot is easy. so don’t do that.
One bird. Terrence to the top left parka pig just at the level of the plank he’s sitting on. shoots all the debris rightward and ignites the furnace for a great kablooey. the rest is up to luck. As an additional aiming tip, on the IPad there is a color break in the background behind the sling. Terrence’s ample feathered bottom just above the dark color will put you close. you can adjust minimally till you get a good explosion and hope for the best.
@mvnla2 see above for my misspelling. dang I’m tired, seven 12 hour days in a row and now I can’t type
@mvnla2, @swelld, you mean something like that (101k):
http://youtu.be/hKTFbUaQQGw
Dead on @crazy-rider !
Thanks @crazy-rider — Will have to try your strat. But no, that isn’t what I was trying.
Thanks for the strat @crazy-rider, exactly the same as your video with no pieces left on the platform
SwellD — thanks again for sharing. I’ll bet that the programmers deliberately ordered these games in such a way as to tempt you into a predictable strategy, i.e., underwater attack. That’s how I first approached this level. I 3-* quickly but could barely get above averge before conulting the walkthrough. Truth-in-lending, this approach did take quite a few times to succeed and most of the time, my scores were lower than that of the video but ultimately proved itself to be the best route to a high score.
Swell will never fail us!
I also noticed that when you shoot it, you will know if you are going to get it. If you zoom out, when you shoot it, Terrence must go just over the tip of the iceberg. This will hit the stone right behind the pig, causing the shot to be more powerful.
Thank you @swelld for the post. There is a sweet spot that blows everything up almost instantly. Aiming tip is to zoom in an align the upper part of the saddle with the line of color change between the two icebergs.
Took a few ties to get the sweet spot but you know it when it is hit.
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I was only trying to help the guys with the 3* minimums.
Pull Big T straight down and then to the right. Leave just a pixel of daylight between him and the sling.
@rdnzlrips82 – I played just like you suggested and got your exact same score of 100760 8) How about that ;-)))
P.S. Good to see you on the walkthroughs :)
This level played the same way as level 1.
I hope they add some variety along the way.
I went up instead of under: high lob onto the stove. Kaboom!
yes @Furfeather! pull Terrence down and snug him up to the sling so no daylight shows thru. not the highest score but good for now,
Thanks for the details @mars805 and for the initial strat @furfeather :) Got a good explosion. Nothing left but one wooden block and a parka :)

Thanks @furfeather. Nice to know I wasn’t crazy when I tried the same method before I read this walkthrough page! It works consistently better at getting more debris destruction than the video or aiming for the upper left pig. It took a few hours, but I finally got 100K!
@furfeather. Thanks. The head on approach was driving me nuts. This is the way to go.
Furfeather, definitely the easiest and most forgiving strategy. It consistantly yields scores at or above average. Persistence got me 102k. Thanks.
@Thanks @furfeather @rdnzlrips, et al. — Used the high arc to get to 100310, not that close to the high, but may have to do for now.
Not sure what platform everyone is playing on. I play on iPad running IOS 7. For me, the only >100K scores came when at least one wood block fell left. My aim point was this: On the sling platform, below the water-line there are 7 lighter-colored zig-zag lines. I use the 3rd from the top, which starts just below the corner on the left. Going in from the left edge, there is a peak and then a valley. The bottom of the valley is where I place my stylus. I make fine adjustments by tilting the stylus to the left or right. This results in basically the position described with red snuggled up to the sling, and allows you to control minute variations in how many pixels, if any, are between red and the sling. My best luck was with the barest hint of daylight between red and the sling, so that when he breathes, you can easily see the changes in light going from barely visible to almost invisible.
This aim point allows red to just miss the top of the tower. However, getting as close to the tower without hitting it does not seem to be as good as slightly further away.
Good Luck!
Thanks @furfeather it’s definantly easier going this route than trying for a straight ahead shot, I’ve yet to get that shot to work for a decent score.
Followed @swelld ‘s strategy and got 100k! Just with 1-2 blocks left floating and (maybe) some sunk.

Improved.

101k at last… followed @@crazy-rider METHOD
Any advices how to get the feather? Several times now I had no blocks left, but am stuck by 98%
@trishohara Drop the can on Moustache pig. Eagle should take out the right “round iceberg” also, they are key.
thank you @sal9! :-)
@trishohara, I think it may be easier on Android, but I’ll try; this feather wasn’t as easy as the first 4 feather levels here.
I used all 3 birds to slowly carve out or cut thru the left structure & ice flow. What remained was a bit of snow with some wood on a tiny bit of the ice flow just about in the middle (to the left of where the stove was.) all the pigs were gone so I quickly brought up the sardine can, nailed the aim & smiled when I saw 100% instead of my previous 97%. Good luck
The feather on Ipad: you must destroy everything, everything. The minus piece of woods doesn’t allow you to got 100%. (On Ipad). Now working on my score. @trishohara
First, launch Terrence into a high arc so that he hits the stove head first.
Then use Stella to make the long iceberg float and hopefully destroy the untouched left part.
Finally, launch the sardine can into the water after the tiny island and the rightmost iceberg should be destroyed.
I managed to get the feather on ipad with the bottom left hollow wooden square left, damaged but still sitting on the platform. I used Terence to take out much of the 1st tower so the can could land on the hollow stone square on the bottom. I don’t know if I got the floating ice but I watched closely & only one stone plank sank to the bottom, the rest was destroyed. Still a tough feather to get compared to the first 4 levels.
@swelld it took a whole lot of flings & a few sub-100k scores then finally got the lucky ‘splosion for 102k using your approach. Thank you! :)
i got the eagle to take out the right “iceberg” as well as have nothing left as far as blocks of wood and finally got the 100%…. the eagle went over the iceberg on the right, and it was gone!!
definitely tuff one to eagle
And there you are again hahaha @Swelld … beginning to think you are among the ones that have opened the box of chocolates and tried them all if not devoured them all… but you have again described the same strat I used… no attack from downunder but attack from above. Have flung for a short hour or so, so there is room for improvement and I am just below 100k and if anything can drive me crazy is a couple of points below the magic 100k LOL
Here is my video.”
EDIT: Got a new score of 101020 with the same strat and here is the new video.”
Oops correction.. didn’t read as closely as I needed to, but I see that I am slightly different to the strat @swelld mentioned. I came in directly to the stove with a high arc. Does provide more points for debris comparing it to from down below, but I see his attack can be more consistent in the taking out of the left side wood. hmmmmm will be back ;)
Hi @e-star, I can’t seem to get @swelld ‘s method to work for me, and although I was successful from downundah, I agree with you, so far I’m consistently getting better scores by lobbing onto the stove. If I could get the standing wood that keeps remaining on the left (always does!), or the floating ice ball to be destroyed, I think this method could get high score, or at least close.
Oh goody got the wood! (but still not the ice ball)
The ice ball isn’t destroyable.
@E-star — Which method did you use to get to 101K? Hoping to see a revised video, although I guess you are on a long weekend right now.
Sorry @mvnla2 I did make a new video and a couple of new ones of the new released levels as well on my anniversary trip, but haven’t had the time to download, edit, upload and comment them. Will do so tomorrow or Thursday. But I think I used @Sweldd strat for the score I currently have got at the moment. In all the methods it seems luck needs to be on ones side for a good score (as it seems for most of the new Eggspedition levels). I think the high lob gives an easy higher score, but the method @sweldd shared yields an even higher score.
Just finished downloading my videos from my iPad, @mvnla2 just so you know the score of 101k was with the easy high lob method :D
I have added the new video to my first comment above!
@e-star ;) great minds !! I’ve been flinging like that also, tried a bunch of other way but found this way to get my score;)
Thanks for your video ;)
(To clarify, I was at 99K when I made my first post about this, then got to 103K by getting all but one small piece of the wood on the left to fall.) You know how they say “use the blasters” in Star Wars? This is the same thing. Use the Stove!
I have tried both basic strategies, the horizontal and the high lob. The lob more consistently does a lot of damage, but my higher scores were with the shot described by @swelld. I see that the current top score (104k) was accomplished with the lob. Hmmm….
ditto for me…. 99.8k with the underwater shot per @swelld and the lob directly onto the furnace per @furfeather seemed to do better damage time after time on average, and a few 99k+ scores but none to pass my highest underwater…yet
i did manage to make terrance go so far underwater that he knocked out snowblock to the *right* of the furnace and left furnace standing…. only have seen that happen once tho — just thought it was interesting
Underwater shot!! Tried the over shot….no luck. 96K
While I was playing the level, the hollow wooden block at the bottom-left connected to the wooden plank started to move on its own, but kind of slow. I thought that the spinning flower glitch would appear here, but it stopped after the plank was destroyed due to all the movement.
100950/1
Ive tried both underwater and over the top. This score was over the top. I think both strategies will yield good scores; it’s just a matter of luck and repetition.
103k/1 used walkthrough.
I had better luck with the over-the-top to the stove strat. Was stuck on about 102k for quite a while, then got decent destruction with some wood falling to the left and self-destroying on the iceberg as well as debris falling on the right, for 106k. Was not expecting a top score on this one.
