Angry Birds Seasons Arctic Eggspedition level 1-15 was first available on Sunday, December 15th, 2013. Our strategy for this level is to fling the yellow bird high above the main structure, and into the rightmost pigs. Then send the Red bird at the base of the first tower. Finally, send the yellow bird into any remaining pig to finish off the level. The score in the video below is 63,900.

I had a different method. There is over 15k available in the middle if you knock down the balls. So, I shot the yellow bird straight ahead to take out the first and second birds and the structure. Then I quickly shot the red bird underneath to take out the balls. The trick is to go quickly so that there is no debris in the water when you shoot the red bird. Last bird was the same as the first in the video, 1 bird left.
Followed your strat to improve my score by 5K – thanks.
Red does not always have the momentum to get the total destruction of the center – you have to find the right sweet spot.
THX! +7K
Splendid idea! Thanks for the tip…
Thanks, @cali_mom, so far have improved 3K with your strat, sure that I can find more.
Great strat @cali_mom, thanks! I’ve been working on the first shot, trying to get as much wood from the two towers to fall into the water, which can rack up 32K in points. I’ve had the best sucess with flinging Yb in an ever so slight arc aiming at the top of the small piece of wood on the left side of the first pig and accelerating when it hits the wood so that it takes out the thick wooden block at the base of the second tower. If all goes well everything tumbles into the water for the extra points. Good advice to quickly shoot the red bird to avoid the debris. You have to resist the temptation of watching the action resulting from the first bird.
To avoid the debris, reverse the order of the birds.
1. Over the main structure, as in the walk through video
2. Through the water into the snow blocks
3. Into the first structure
4. 10k bonus
Yep. This put me over 80 because I didn’t have to rush second shot thanks to both you and @cali_mom!
Me too-nice 82090.
Only problem is that this has the easy shot first and saves the hard shot for last.
Thanks for the reverse method @hunnybunny. Makes it easier to avoid debris. Thanks @cali_mom for the strat.
@kareen: Perfect strategy for YB#1. I aimed for they block too. Thanks!
@scott20 — I’m so glad the YB strat to the wood towers was helpful.
Thank you @hunnybunny going for the back first was definitely y the trick for me; )
@Cali_mom: I used this method too. Thank you. Had 52,070 after first two shots http://angrybir.de/1dfDPdK and finished with 87,710 http://angrybir.de/1dfDSqc. My third shot was just average, therefore a couple thousand points were still out there for grabs. Hope someone can topple 90,000!
Took forever, but finally came together, just missed 90,000. Same method as @cali_mom
Thanks @cali_mom for the strat & @kareen for the tip on the 1st shot. I got a beautiful collapse of the front with all the wood going into the water followed by a quick 2nd shot underwater to the centre. Had over 48k at this point, then the high arc to the back with the 3rd bird.
I’ve enjoyed the last couple of levels, I like the challenge of having to string together 2 or 3 good shots. The 1-birders become a bit mind-numbing after a while :)
Nice Job @Karen68 great flinging Congrats:)
On the challenge i meant @Karen68:)
I also followed your strategy. Worked:great for an above average score. Breaking the icebergs on the left side with the falling debris provides a good challenge.
87630/3
thx to @cali_mom and @e-star
here my video:
https://youtu.be/xNnA1sm80wA
yellow bird over the top to the right the red bird in the middle with the balls and then yellow bird in the front for a score of 85k
Yellow bird to closest towers
Red Bird under water to come up between platforms, releasing ice balls & debris
Yellow Bird high arc, to take out far right pigs
Also got the Golden Egg, in the mix of snow boulders/ice balls, in between the platforms!!
Played like video. What the feather concerns: concentrate with 4 birds on the most right structure. Then sardines over 1st pig.
Must say, heavy stuff for a sunday. Nice to play, but can’t say it’s easy. Where is Terence when you need him? :-)
Ty @bernersenn ;) I finally got the feather!!
This was my last one i couldn’t find the walkthroughs for the feathers! !I did the rest myself, but this one was tricky!
I thought we supposed to get a special level after getting all the feathers ? This is the first episodes i ever got them all m
@kathy, I’m glad you got it. I suppose we don’t get any levels for these things in this episode. For extra levels for feathers you have to switch to Rio – although it’s much warmer overthere :-)
Lol thanks @bernersenn I could use some warmth right about now; )
Thanks for the advice. I found that to get 100% with the Eagle the right hand structure has to be completely destroyed. Including the snow on the far right.
Is the top score on this one maybe a mistype? Maybe it belonged in level 1/14 instead of level 1/15? Second place is 89k then a jump to 103? Some of the best players I see here are hovering in the mid80’s. I’ve never questioned a score before;,I suck it up, I know where I fall; even when I revisit to aim for above average or top 100 or top 50. But this one just seems WAY over.
After the issues with Piglantis and widespread reports of premature calculation, I thought Rovio had discovered a fix for the level ending before the scoring was finished. That is, until I reached this level. Maybe it’s due to my unorthodox choice of targets or perhaps I’m a bit slow on the draw. But then again, this level seems to have more than its fair share of wood, so I suppose it’s just me, not Rovio. Aloha.
It’s the freaking wood!! Hated this level! Have you ever thought about therapy….I mean for me, not you, definantly Me!!!
I know right! Why ow why does so much wood survive?! Seems a lot of people are lumberjacks as I have been flinging while carrying a very sharp saw ;) but only ones I got a score above 80k! Was trying to fetch some more wood before posting my video, but it looks like I am leaving the woods and come back after christmas. But maybe the deadline of downloading/editing/uploading my video tonight after dinner will give me magical lumberjack powahs, who knows
ROFLMAO if the magic works good for you!! Me I only got a couple more at 80k after this measley score so I’m “cutting my losses” and leaving the lumber jacking to You!! :D This is one of those levels it would take inordinate amounts of something Big to get me to come back to it!!! Good luck, if anyone can take this sucker down it’ll be You!!! ;)
Thanks for that nugget of a video @surfcow one of my faves. Reminds me of when we used to shove a towel under the door so our parents wouldn’t catch watching the flying circus on the 19″ b&w tv!
Oh, you two are wackier than a couple three-horned goats at a hot dog-eating contest. I’m surprised @kimmiecv ‘s comments slipped past the site’s censors. I wouldn’t touch that post with
mya ten-foot pole. Is that what you meant by Big? And @e-star needs to step away from the very sharp saw. Immediately. Thought you had a video to edit? Plus, you really don’t want to be a lumberjack – trust me. *Starts humming The Lumberjack Song by Monty Python* You two really need to behave. Aloha.Dear @surfcow, they meant Terence, I think. We all got the same needs here.
Placing the sharp saw on the ground and steps away slowly, sowwy mister Surfdude LOL. ermmm yeah I have to edit a couple of videos indeed, but I am procrastinating just a wee bit, holiday season does that to me. Also still have to make that wood crumble like I want it to and it hasn’t happened yet. Now go kick some bacon behind!
Ps: those who don’t know, we are just pulling each others legs, like we love to do!
Getcha mind out of the wood chipper there mister *Snicker* surfdude!!!! Did you Really say ten foot pole?!! Huh no Wonder you walk so funny, I’m guessing its awful hard controlling that Big thing!!! ;)
@bernersenn ummm yep, yep just talkin about Big red!!! :D
@e-star @kimmiecv @bernersenn Sorry, but I couldn’t resist returning to this very hard level for another roll in the hay, so to speak — especially after re-reading some of the more suggestive strategies and then watching E-Star’s excellent, exciting and expertly made video for the 587th time. Someone, probably @Cali_Mom, suggested knocking out the balls in the middle, but I had better success focusing on all that wood. Sure, those balls are attractive… But everyone knows that getting wood will ensure you will score. Thanks, E-Star, for giving us “paint-by-numbers” challenged players such an easy-to-follow path to pig-popping paradise. My score improved by almost 10K! I think I better stop now before the Federal Bureau of Innuendo decides to cancel my membership. Aloha amigos.
He Lives!! Haven’t talked to you since ummm well round about the posts above!! Nice work on the hardwood Mr. @surfcow Yeesh that roll in the hay scored you a serious home run, thanks for leaving the rest of us with nothing but wet, soft and unusable wood dead in the water! On that note I’m out!! Pretty sure the ABNFBI has me wiretapped, don’t want to push my luck!!
Finally figured it out… I did a moonshot with the first Yellow to knock the ship down on the right. Needed to be around 28k to get a decent score and doing the high arc usually gave me 25 to 26k. Next issue was the balls, haven’t found a way to get them to drop every time, 4 out of 5 tries end up in the bird smashing the trunks in the water or the balls dangling above the water stuck in the gap. But finally both the first and the second bird did what they needed to do and had a score of 48k to move forwards from. All I had to do was send the Yellow straight forward to take down the left structure and it worked! 85240 for me.
Here is my video.
ow forgot to @mention @Surfcow … I have a video up for you to see how it is done… hmmmhmmmm I’m a lumberjack and I am okay lalala… ;)
It became the same score in a strategy same as you!
I felt that it was a factor of the high score that a structure fell down to the left side like a video by the second shot!
I hate this one! I can’t even make average. UGH!
Ok. Winged whining works well!
I read about the timeout problems for this level and because of other reasons i reversed the shots:
1. lightly up horizontal into first structure
2. quickly followed by the red for the balls section…this takes time to wait for the debris in the water to crush against another and generate some points.
3. moonshot like @e-star mentioned and shown in the video. The rigmost pig stays some seconds longer, so even there crushing debris in the water give you some points
Have a nice day @all
Thanks @liontooth. Reversing the order finally did it for me. With 15 minutes to go on today’s challenge it gave me the best score on the day, but I lost internet connection so couldn’t enter it. Just as well it wasn’t a puppy score!! :))
Played exactly like @e-star shows on her video: first bird – moonshot; second – under water to drop the balls; and third one – straight ahead to the bottom of the the upper structure. @sweetp – my screenshot https://angrybir.de/3xYxPHz
Congratulations @annach! You’ve earned the HollyDog badge!
Thanks! I didn’t even know about this badge!
@sweetp – looks like you forgot to enter underdogs for this level
I awarded your Holly Dog, so you’re good!
@sweetp – I mean the underdog spreadsheet
Advent Challenge underdogs do not count towards the Underdog Club scores.
Thanks @sweetp, I didn’t know that.
@sweetp for the puppy. Thanks.
Same reverse method of @e-star
https://angrybir.de/3oeDOob In play
https://angrybir.de/3onBueR Tally
The first two birds on this score made circa 53k. I was resetting if it was below 50k.
89130 with three birds.
Same strategy as in the video. More like in @comex666 video though ;-)
Here is the final result.
And this is the highscore screenshot.
All the screenshots are also available in high res here in one set.
@sweetp
88450 with 3 birds.
Followed the order as in the @comex666 video.

@sweetp
@bswins, @asher, @steviep147, you already have a Hollydog Badge, so we cannot award another one. Same rules apply since we started the Advent Challenge a couple of years ago. Sorry.
73710/3
Using the high arc YB method. That second underwater shot with Red is really, really, tricky.
