Angry Birds Seasons Arctic Eggspedition level 1-12 was first available on Thursday, December 12th, 2013. Our strategy for this level is to simply fling the Yellow bird underwater to cut the ropes holding the two piles of tnt. The resulting chain explosions should clear all the pigs. The score in the video below is 112,490.

3* is 110
110k
109k is 2 stars. 110k is 3 star min.
Right TNT detonates easily.
Left TNT took many attempts to detonate.
One birder seems to be the only way to high scores.
1 birder just like walkthrough.
118,000 with one bird. High arch right into the exploding stove. Debris always floats up both batches of TNT, but to score enough for 3 stars you need quite a few tries.
I think “always” is a gross overstatement here. For me it’s been rather the exception than the rule, and even when it does happen, the left batch of TNT has a tendency not to explode when it surfaces.
I am having the same experience with the left load of TNT. I just managed a one birder just like the video, but would like to see what could happen if those flying bits it that tree. I remember a level where the tree being hit was crucial. Haven’t tried it yet tho, so not an alternative strategy by far.
Have tried everything I could imagine since my last post and could do no better than 113,000. I came back here, hoping someone had come up with something that worked consistently, but no such luck. This is a ridiculously difficult level. I returned back to the video strategy and after 1/2 hour of non-stop flinging finally managed to get the left TNT party pack to detonate! And,yes, there was sarcasm in that statement. But it made my score improve dramatically. It was just a fluke, as the left side TNT usually does not blow up in 99% of tries! Temperamental level for sure.
One birder this way, but I shot an almost flat arc into the stove.
I always try a “moon shot” if the setup looks like there’s a chance that it may be productive. I had the same results. It may not be the highest scoring strategy bit it’s a lot of fun. The underwater approach yielded higher scores but it took quite a few tries.
This is the only Eggspedition level that’s given any challenge so far. Not that I’m complaining as Battle for Naboo is tipped a bit too far towards the “impossible” end.
I’ve only looked at this video after 3-starring it myself. I couldn’t get above 109,000 using your method, which seemed the most logical. Couldn’t one-bird it either. As stated, the left TNT doesn’t explode easily. So I used the high-arc into the stove for 90,000 with one bird (two remaining birds gave me the 110,000 for the three-stars.)
I have a different definition of challenging, at least for AB. To me, having to work endlessly to find just the right 1 pixel sweet spot landing with a ricochet and THEN hoping everything falls to the left – that’s challenging. Performing a simple rope cutting, and doing it perfectly every single time, then have the item meant to explode only do so once in every 10 flings, that’s just unnecessarily frustrating but not so much challenging. But I’m right there with you on Naboo!!!
Tried the high arc, to the stove, but would only yield 110k. Went with strategy as in video. Yellow Bird underwater, at an angle to cut the ropes on TNT. 123k
Same as -122,530 as per video.
After a dozen or so tries I’ve had both TNT explode twice, but both times the 2 pigs on the ledge, closest to the sling survived. The 2nd time I must have placed the bomb bird in a better place because I 3* with a 2-birder for 113810 …. So time to keep flinging
….and finally the coveted a1-birder … for 113720, less than my 2-birder …. oh it’s not supposed to work this way …. LOL … So back to the drawing board
I’m with you @justpast40. I seem to be getting really random results, even though I keep flinging at the same angle/trajectory over and over! That structure on the left must be made of reinforced steel and composite wood! Can’t even get close to the average score.
I’ll join you in the agony! Aarrrgggh!
@sweetp, I see you eventually managed at least one above average score. I’m revisiting this level after opening today’s level from here in Delaware & have also managed to finally get above average.
As far as this level, I swear I’m aiming the same way, however after not too many tries over perhaps 15 minutes, I’ve managed to improve well over 7k to 122330. If I didn’t know better I would swear the ability to open today’s level also somehow had a positive impact on the resulting damage I’m now getting here, even though I would swear I’m aiming & boosting the same as yesterday.
Yay nice score @justpast40! Yup, I got a teensy bit lucky and just squeaked by the average. You might be right about opening the day’s level. Seems to have loosened its strangle hold a little! LOL!
I’d like to do better though, since I’m just barely in the top 100, and I’m afraid as more flingers post their scores, I’ll be off that list soon. So I’ll be revisiting this level again, in the search for piggie domination! Mu-uah-haha!
Hey @Sweetp I’m right behind you lol:)
Same as the video, that angle is tricky!!
Nice flinging; )
My mistake, only went through first rope then yb hit the snow Under the right structure. Still trick angle though!
WTG @Kathy, nice score! I got my current 121K the same way too, when the cement block dropped down on the right TNT, a piece of wood from the blast hit the TNT on the left and everything went kablooey!
Thanks @Sweetp ;) I just improved a little more the same way, guess the secret to higher score is just to keep flinging; )
good luck! ! Be Ferocious !! Haha
Slight tweak on video strategy. Cut thru ropes of left TNT only, with yellow bird then going back up and knocking out the snow below the right structure. The falling debris from the right structure sets off the submerged right TNT, which in turn sets off the left TNT, which is now beneath the left structure.
I have found this more consistent for blowing up both TNTs and has given me some nice 1 bird scores.
What kind of angle and timing are you using to achieve this? I’ve managed to clip only the left and release bricks to set off the right for the chain reaction you describe, but for nowhere near that score.
I was trying the video method with a high of 119500 when I accidentally shot the yb at a much deeper angle than I had been doing. The left tnt went up and exploded taking out that side. The yb missed the right tnt but took out the snow under the right side, dropping debris on the tnt and exploding it. Good for 124360 and #10 on the leaderboard(for now)
@karen68 curious if this is how you got your 133k by going underwater?
I’ve been following Estar video b going high and landing on the stove but with no luck.. I’ll try the underwater way.
Looks like both these methods work, I managed 123k by cutting only the 1st rope. It does give a better chance of setting off the 1st TNT, it often goes off on its own without needing to be hit with something from the right TNT. Then hope for a bit of the L-factor for a higher score.
My 124k came from the walkthrough method, cutting both ropes with the 1st shot. Getting the stove to explode before dropping into the water seems to help blast debris off the middle platform.
Cutting only the left rope worked best for me. I aimed deep like @howie-k . Yellow broke through the ice underneath the two stacked snowballs, both tnts exploded nicely and the stove took care of the rest. That tree truly is indestructible, as it was left floating right below the surface of the water on the right.
thx to @furfeather for great idea
here a video with 128k:

i wish you a merry christmas
Merci d’avance
Yesterday I was well above average and today just barely, so I will keep flinging away. I see the scores from below yield more points, so I am going to try that. I have been flinging from above with a high arc and straight into the TNT. Got a score of 120520 for now.
Here is my video for now.
For all those who think you might be going a bit crazy – based on the randomness of the non-detonating TNT – I think I might have noticed the cause: sea level. That’s right, the water level in this level is not entirely on the level. And when the fluctuating sea level sometimes leaves a gap of air between the water and the ice/snow blocks holding everything up…. Chaos ensues. That and TNT that refuses to go boom unless the conditions are right. That’s all I’ve got for now. As you can tell by my well-below-average score, I don’t have the timing down yet to know what the optimum sea level is for the TNT to explode. For those of you who are just a bit crazy all of the time, you probably won’t care. You can stop laughing now. I’m serious! Aloha.
Hah. When the sea level is at its highest and there’s no air gap between the water and the ice blocks…the left TNT seems to detonate consistently on impact with the ice blocks. However, if the sea level is lower, leaving that air gap, the TNT doesn’t explode after it floats up. And you guys thought I was the crazy one. Hmmmphh. Aloha.
Whoa!! @surfcow I’m never completely sure when your on the up and up but I did take what you said and ran with it and whatayaknow every time the left TNT blew up the sea level was Higher!! Thanks to your tip I Finally got above avg. Mwaaaah your the bestest prettiest blue eyed cow evah!! ;•
Proudly points to the High IQ badge pinned to my rump. You’re very welcome. Oh and thanks for running with my tip. As you can see, it didn’t improve my score but I’m overjoyed (and a bit surprised) your score increased. To be honest, I’m never quite completely sure when I’m on the up-and-up either. But hey, I don’t have to be; I’m a cow who surfs. Aloha.
Wow, this one took forever. The average score is really high. For my strat: As most, I cut both TNT loose with the yellow bird and was lucky both exploded. I think the key to high scores is: a) you have to be lucky that the left TNT explodes on its own AND takes the left part of the structure down, while b) the oven (?) has to explode in a way it pushes the middle part of the structure to the left to yield some extra points.
I also think @surfcow and others are right that the TNT ignition depends on sea level, I think I startet my bird not directly at the start of the level rather than wating some seconds.
Alright !! I’ve no idea Why this level is listed as easier!! It’s totally Not!?
I’ve tried under water shot and high arc to the stove shot!! Nothing!!
@dronnord Congrats on the Trophy , do you remember which strat you used? I could really use a tip on this one, trying to improve on some of these older episodes..?
124490/2
Wow, not sure why I’m going to find another 11K to get close to the high score on this level.
Cut both ropes and had good destruction on the right and middle platforms. Flung the bomb into the stone vertical piece on the left platform, cleared it and did some additional damage to the debris of the middle platform.
Going to flag the top two scores for screen shots.
Years ago, I was fortunate to receive the very first Holly Dog Award.
Each year since then I have gotten a new High Score during Holly Dog month, but, as I understand it, every flinger can only get one Holly Dog Award.
This year I have earned another new High Score in December.
I also got a screenshot showing the amount of destruction & debris;
