Angry Birds Rio Market Mayhem Walkthrough Level 23 (14-8)

One strategy for Market Mayhem level 14-8 is to reach the middle tower with the White bird. We get a bit lucky here with a double-ricochet, but it’s pretty cool! However, if you need another bird or two, you can still 3-star this level. The score in the video below is 173,780.

My shot was just like the video – I got great destruction. Nothing was left in the air, and very little left on the ground.

Used the same strategy as in the ABN video. But dropped the egg on the second strawberry from the left and hoped the shell went up to the two tnt boxes. Then watched the sequence of destruction and let the luck factor play out. Fun level to play with watching the various results.

I think this is one of the most fun Angry Birds levels ever :)
Just like the video, & I didn’t find it too difficult to get & repeat the double ricochet. Pull back the the white bird just slightly above horizontal, she needs to go in on the high side, closer to the structure above the awning.

I agree!!! This is one of the reasons I love Rio..they always have the crazy fun things to bounce off of ;-) I got 188020 on my third try ;-D The double ricochet is definately repeatable. Even when it doesn’t work out quite right it’s still a lot of fun to watch.

The double ricochet is repeatable. Just drop the bomb by the left of the first tent, Matilda will recoil into the second. Got 172k.

I fired the white bird in a high arc, coming down between the upper left and middle towers. Dropping the bomb so that the white bird ricocheted up into the middle blocks, the platform exploded almost immediately taking out everything else. Final 1 bird score of 176+K.

The first time I did this, I think I would have ended up above 180K if all pigs died, but the canopy above the lower left pig dropped on him and the next 3 birds could not get to him as they just bounced off the canopy. Several tries later I repeated the shot, this time getting all pigs. This strategy is definitely repeatable as long as the bomb is released just at the right time. Too early and the bird hits the metal shields around the sand blocks. Too late and the bird hits the middle canopy and bounces away.

Let me clarify one point. I was replaying the level trying to get a higher score and to see when to fire the bomb. I was having trouble getting the upper middle platform to blow like before so I dropped the bomb so that the WB would hit the lower left vertical metal bar on the upper middle tower. Lo and behold, the bird did not bounce off as I expected but busted through. KABOOM. Rapid destruction throughout, all pigs killed, and a new high score.

I think scores above 194k are very possible…with good fallout and when white corpse gets entagled with one of the green/yellow tents….it gets thrown around violently to clear extra debris…it’s a small glitch!

Indeed one of the funniest levels ever, with a lot of play and surprises. Tons of one birders possible, with quite an unpredictable outcome, as stones drop out of the sky when you least expect them. Got stuck at 189+ for a while, but finally managed 192,580, with more to hope for.

A “what the hell just happened?” misfire saw me staring at the screen in awe as everything exploded awesomely. I raced here to share only to find my accident was THE strategy for the level already yielding higher scores than I had achieved. Did it dull my thrill at watching this level explode all over the place – NO WAY. However, it would have been nice to provide an original strategy for everyone else for a change and be a giver instead of a taker. So sorry, but not this time. Happy flinging everyone.
