If you’re an Angry Birds fan that uses an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch today is going to be a happy day, as Angry Birds Rio is finally here.

- Angry Birds Rio is now available for Android from the Amazon App Store and for a limited time it’s free. Click here to check it out.
Here’s a breakdown of what to expect from Angry Birds Rio:
- Golden Eggs are to be replaced with Hidden Fruits. So far as we know once you collect all the fruit nothing happens, so they’re more like achievements. They also don’t seem hard to spot, but they can be challenging to get.
- 3 Stars is still the high water mark
- New Bird (it looks to be a blue parrot, maybe from the movie)
- New achievements via Game Center and Crystal
- All new “Boss Battles”
- Pigs are replaced by birds in cages, and probably other animals depending on what world you’re in
- Future episodes will be released over time
- Improved graphics (a lot more Retina and HD graphics for iPad & iPad 2)

We just got it two hours ago here in Europe.
It feels a lot more like a new game whereas Seasons just feels like themed levels of the old and trusted Angry Birds. Immediately when you launch Rio the music sounds more intense. The graphics are so much better. But gameplay feels familiar.
The first couple of levels are quite easy. Experienced Angry Birds players will three star the first five within just a few attempts.
I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.
I like the colors.
But but but WHEN FOR AMAZON FOR ANDROID?!?! Can’t handle the waiting!

Well it’s 1:15 AM in the east and still no Rio for Android. I think I’ll call it a night and hope to wake up to a functioning Amazon Appstore…

Also, the crates with the shipping labels contain fruit.
Just got all 15 pineapples and nothing happens. Maybe you have to get all the fruit in all the episodes to unlock something.

Found a fruit in 2-7.
The fruits (so far) are either visible or they’re inside boxes with labels.
I found all 15 pineapples but… nothing happens :( That was a bit dissapointing.
Other than that, this is better than the original :D
I know this is probably the wrong place to rant, but I am highly disappointed with Rovio regarding androind, seeing how it is their bigest market (add supported or not!). Even if they struk a deal with Amazon, they should have made sure that it is released on the same dates as for iOS and all over the world not just USA. It is a pity, I am a huge fan, and now I am sat here a bit pissed off! And I definitely do not mind paying for the app, having both myself and my fiance working heavily in the games industry, I know how important it is to earn money through what you do. But this situation is ruining Rovio’s reputation.
Oh and thank god I have an iMac and can feed my addiction through downloading it on my comp (though I d prefer to play it on my phone).
The Android version in Amazon App Store is a hoax!!! You have to register and give your credit card number in order to download a free game!! No way!!!
I hope they upload it on the Android Market soon…
Yes. It’s a total hoax. Amazon (one of the world’s largest companies) put out a free copy of Angry Birds Rio not to promote their new App Store, but to steal your credit card number.
*facepalm*

I’ve got 14 pineapples and know the last one. It is on 2-6!
But how can I get thisone.
Oh I have only got 13 -.-
Anouther one is on 1-7 How can I get this two?
I’ve only got 7… some look really hard to get! I didn’t try too hard, I’ll go back through and get them all second go-round… LOVE THIS GAME!!
They are not really dificult do find you only have to look at this stickers but I don’t find 2 of the bananas

This game is AWESOME! The new display and graphics are excellent. I do miss the piggies a little bit, but I LOVE THIS GAME!
How can i get the pineapples on 1-7 and 2-12?
How do you get the one on 2-6?
At 2-12 you have to shoot the blue bird that it rolls away and falls down
2-6 if I remember correctly the pineapple is backwards next to the crate. If so, shoot a bird with a high arch at less than full pullback, ie get in a backwards shooting position and then slowly drag left until you are still shooting backwards but the bird isn’t the whole way down. I think I had a bounce and roll to get it.
I think you are mistaken with the level. It’s the one you have 4 red birds and the pinneaple it’s almost 100% above you. Can’t figure out how to get it. I’ve tried using the lamp but it didn’t work.
use the lamp. Hit it with the bird a couple of times and it will swing high back and forth. The lamp will swing right into the pineapple and get it.
I got it using the lamp. Keep trying.
Oh, for that one you need to hit the lamp just right so it doesn’t fall off and swings back to hit the pineapple.

you have do shoot the birde against the other boxes so they will drop and destroy the box with the pineapple inside
