Our strategy for Hidden Harbor Level #1 is to use the Pink bird to lift the submerged TNT into the stone wall, rendering it unstable. The score in the video below is 83,110.
Note: This is a secret, hidden episode! Shhhhh! If you want to be in on the secret, check out our guide. But it’s just between you and us, cool? ;)
Current high score of 87570 — Same as video, so this must be a rinse and repeat level.
Yes, @MVNLA2 it’s “one of those” levels. UGH!
For higher scores aim for the stone next to the TNT and trigger just after impact.
Alternate method, lob over top TNT onto the horizontal stone slab. Activate and lift it up up the slab. If it doesn’t break, it will rotate 90 degrees and drop onto the small TNT and take everything out. 88950
Good alternate strategy @dmsral, and nice score. Easily repeatable, too!
@dmsral
THX, I found your way easier regarding higher scores.
@dmsral Thank you very much for the idea; I’ll just add some small details that may help get higher scores. My very first try I upped my score by over 1k points to 89,550, and my second shot got me into second place (for now). I flung Pinky high onto the wall, hitting the ridge at the top or just below it, and then she bounced off and rolled over to take out the left marmoset before activating and lifting the slab. The slab disintegrated after touching that same ridge (I think, though it may have just done it on its own), the marmoset hanging underneath dropped onto the TNT below the slab, and boom! I tried another 40 or 50 times, but never got over 89k again.
Thanks for the clarification. Got 91100 using this method.
For me the trick to getting this strategy to work is to forget the plank and rely on the falling marmoset to trigger the TNT. To get that, aim like @Snoid described: So Stella bounces off the upper ledge, or just below it. If you trigger too close to the right marmoset, he’ll die during the ascent, so trigger when Stella hits the left marmoset.
If Stella’s bounce will land her on top of that marmoset, It works a bit more reliably if you trigger just before she hits the plank.
Thanks @dmsral Great alternate !! Again..;)
Ohh and congrats @dmsral on the shiny gold slingshot:)
Thank you!!! Finally got over average!
Anyone following on … I got better results by bouncing off the back wall almost to the middle of the plank and activating a split second before impact, the plank survived far more often. Although, I have a lot of low 87s with the published strat. Sixes, I believe was the phrase introduced for this.
Thanks @knichy !!! I had lots of fun using the @kelani approach; but, my best scoring has been ‘capitalizing’ on YOUR comments — tho I didn’t know it at the time; i.e., usually I ‘do’ a ‘soft landing’ on the plank referenced by the finger on the posting/pic:

It sure took a while — & NO joy at all trying to get the stone column talked about below to even budge (arg) :) . GREAT FUN, tho. Thanks all!
CONGRATS, @eddiemazza !!! Bodacious score :-) ! And special thanks to @kathy , @bernersenn et al for the follow-up-on / resolution about the @wonderland 101+K score. THX(!), too, @wonderland for the link! It’s a mind-blowing snap — esp for me …. using my PC (LOL) :-).
I’m about to move on to the next level ….. inasmuch as I don’t think I could score any higher even with
the assistance of my so-much-missed best & closest friend, ‘helper’ :-) and adviser about AB matters, Stevie

thx to @dmsral
here a video with 90k:

Thanks for the video @comex666 !
Thanks @dmsral for the strategy and @comex666 for the video. Found that if the bird doesn’t touch the horizontal stone slab it has less of a tendency to break. It still breaks but a bit less before it rotates. Fun level to play.
Just like walkthrough. I don’t remember doing anything different and came here to enter my score and discovered my high score ranking. Screen shot in my album.
@Eddie can you explain your score please which is 4k higher than everyone else? Is it a typo?
I was wondering the same @Eddie @admins ?
No typo @Andy and @Kathy screenshot available in my album after I reply here. I just used the same strategy as above and had Stella lift the stone plank with a marmoset above and below it. Had 1 marmoset survive and hit TNT, got VERY VERY lucky and somehow far right pillar fell which I could not repeat after 400-500 attempts. Even I thought the score was wrong and that there wasn’t 76,800 worth of debris and marmosets until I played using all 3 birds and was able to get a score over 76,800 so no, no typo and no bug.
@Eddie Thanks for the reply and screenshot, and congrats on your awesome score! That pillar definitely has enough points, but like you I’ve never seen it do anything but vibrate. I guess that’d qualify as a miracle shot. Do you remember if it broke into pieces or was completely destroyed when it fell? Just curious.
For anyone else: here’s the link to his screenshot: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/eddiemazza/album/picture/10558/
@Kelani wasn’t expecting it to happen so I wasn’t paying attention to what made it fall but when I did realize it was falling pretty fast and most of it was destroyed upon impact with the ground ( the bottom 1/8 of the pillar survived)
Thanks for the reply @eddiemazza and the screenshot !! Congrats on the awesome score!! I was wondering if that pillar would possibly fall. That’s cool it did for you!
THX for detail @eddiemazza …. & CONGRATS !!!! I hope you had as much fun as I do — on the extremely rare times I’ve had the great fortunate to have a whole buncha unexpected points arrive :-) !!!
Best & Cheers, Rogue …
@wonderland your score here is awesome. Could you please upload a picture with your score in it please?
Cc. @admins
@bernersenn. where can i post the screenshot?
@wonderland please look at the FAQ section under ‘About’ in the golden bar on top of your screen.
Cc. @admins
@wonderland can you say which strat you used ?
And to submit a screenshot? @admins
Ooh @wonderland you can post your screenshot here;)
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/wonderland/album/picture/10626/
hope this link is visible for you.
Thank you for the screenshot @wonderland ;) I can’t help but notice that a lot of your power ups have been used, power up scores are not allowed on the leaderboards just so you know.

Can someone please explain why my score was erased after a SCREENSHOT and EXPLANATION was given @Admins
I mean I understand I am 4k clear of 2nd but that doesn’t mean that I did not achieve the score, and I never use power ups. I save them for my 4 year old and let him use them on the star and hidden object levels
@eddiemazza Your score was removed BEFORE your screenshot and explanation. :)
@admins why does my score for this level keep getting removed
@eddiemazza – I’ve been playing RIO exclusively, and after going through 3-starring everything, going back and getting > average, now going back and seeing where I have a good potential for increasing a score. I do this by looking at the differential from the high score, and as such have become pretty adept at finding (and sometimes flagging – but not yours) Double Count Bird (DCB) scores.
your score is a perfect example of a potential DCB (but I know it is not, keep reading), several thousand above the next best score on a level, and the top 10 is pretty tight other than that.
However, you offer a great explanation which led me to do my best to recreate your wonderfling, and I successfully got close to 79K “raw” with three birds. Throw the now accepted first bird, as soon as she bubbles up, have red ready to go low, fire quickly as soon as the falling debris is out of the away and damage the wooden platform that never breaks, then quick fling orange into the gap between the top of the pillar and wall. I got about 2/3 of it to break on my best 3-birder.
I’ve gotten that pillar to move a few times with the one-birda, but never drop. Usually when I have the stone platform stay intact (1 in 20 throws), drop to the thin metal support, and have the tint TNT drop down for a more powerful explosion.
So in conclusion – thanks for giving me a bit of a diversion, it was a fun challenge for me to work out how to make that pillar fall even with 3 (it ain’t easy) and count the points.
But @AMSlimfordy is still better at math than me 8*)
@eddiemazza Seems your screenshot and explanation have been removed¿ if you possibly still have that screenshot i would be interested in seeing it, i don’t suspect your score, or the possibility of DCB as the math doesn’t add up. Just happened to be in Rio today and this was of my favorite episodes.
Congrats on the great score :D
I was using the methoud as proposed by @dmsral for todays challenge. I seemed to get better scores zooming all the way in. I first beat my old score by 80 points and then got lucky enough to get a puppy. @sweetp https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/hoy49/album/picture/23328/
Congrats on the trophy and the only puppy today @hoy49! Have been using the same strat but maxed out at 91640. Can’t figure out the scoring on this one. The same shot with much the same results gives such widely differing scores. I think the trophy will be yours for a long time to come :))
