Angry Birds Rio Blossom River Walkthrough Level #7

Our strategy for Blossom River Level #7 is to aim the Blue birds pretty steeply downward, taking out the left side of the level. Fling the Orange bird through the exposed cardboard boxes to disrupt the remaining marmosets. The score in the video below is 146,110.

Fairly repeatable 150k+ scores:

Aim first bird horizontally, split early so the lowest of the three takes out the glass supports.

Second bird: do not inflate too early. Ideally it should reach about the point under the lowest marmoset before it inflates.

Agree, video strategy is good but allow Orange bird to penetrate farther under the far right structure before manually inflating.

I followed a totally different strategy. Aimed blue to the two long vertical wooden planks protected by a thin metal bar. Split before hitting. If you can break three of them, debris falling sometimes break the other thin metal bar holding the mid structure. Rest is piece of cake.

First shot slightly higher than the video and activate very late. Second shot similar to video, activate as OB touches bottom left corner of the small stone block. Third, cross your fingers and hope the marmosets dance for you.

Followed video with various results. Highest score so far is from breaking the horizontal planks and the whole middle structure falls on the left structure destroying most everything. Send OB to clean up. As with all levels I play I try and figure out how to do the level and after three stars I come here to see what I need to do to compete with high scores. As I was trying to figure out this level I hit BB through the glass on top which one shot netted me a one bird. Although i was able to do that I haven’t or didn’t get another. It only netted me 139k. I must’ve hit it just right as it all swayed back and forth and finally came to a gradual tumble. A lot of debris left.

@coffeeking I haven’t been able to get a one-bird solution as you have at least a couple of times in two different ways. Maybe next time you do you should launch the OB quickly in order to push as much debris as possible up in the air or over the side. I suspect you’d get a very high score that way. Or, like me, you may be sick of this level and unwilling to keep trying!

Followed as per the video. However the blue just kept sliding, and almost took out the all the marmosets. All of the main structure fell, and all that was left was the two farthest marms, orange skidded under and threw them off the vessel.I used no special aiming to get the blue to slide. Luck factor.

@snoid On the first one bird I didn’t know what I was doing so I never sent the OB hoping the 139k was going to be enough for a good score. I remember it kept rocking back and forth for a bit before it all collapsed. It 3 starred but after that I came to see what I had to do to get a decent score. The second one I I took a shot following video, set my phone down to let the dogs outside. I come back and game was over with a one bird so I didn’t get to see what happened. I couldn’t believe my luck. Only reason I let people know here about a one bird is if they’re bored and wanted to try and get one. I doubt it would bring a competitive score. Good luck.

Almost exactly the same @coffeeking. Trying fenikus strat during today’s challenge and misfired. Next thing everything collapsed for a one-birder, but only scored 139750. Not enough debris in one place to make it worthwhile sending OB.

@fenikus — Congrats on the top score in Blossom River (and this level), for now at least! I’m sure there are some who will be gunning for your top spot, but you don’t need to worry about me. I would just appreciate some comments on your high score levels, saying what strat you used, and any additional tips, like exactly what happened after the first shot, etc. Thanks!

Thanks @mvnla2, I’ve had a string of good luck in this episode…Angry Birds Gods have been kind to me for some reason. No worries, I always share my strategies and always happy to help; this time around I wanted to wait a week or so to see which high scores will stick.

Here’s a video of how I got 165K+ on this level: http://youtu.be/RZuCD02L2OA. Score in video is 156K+ but I got the high score the same way, just with less leftover debris (screenshot: http://angrybir.de/1eD1DOO).

The objective is to break thin metal support beam in the middle so that left and middle are cleared. You are looking for 100K+ score, I think I had 102K-104K on high score. The exact placement of second shot varies based on the setup and it’s tougher than it looks. You want as much debris to break on the boat instead of falling into water. Good luck!

Thanks @fenikus and @comex666 for the videos. Did the first bird both ways. Obtained the present score using comex666 method. Zoomed in for the first bird and split right below hitting the vertical posts. Have to obtain good destruction of the stones for a high score. Activated the second bird right before the little stone on the bottom right side. Again with this bird there has to be good stone destruction. Fun level to play but there is somewhat of a luck factor involved.

I shot BBs under the first tower like the walk through, however the middle tower came down too which is key to a high score. Shoot 2nd bird under remaining right tower, manually activate so everything goes flying.

Wow these are some hard levels. #17 is the Challenge, so I’m taking a break & playing catchup for all of these levels I’d forgotten to come back to for my above average scores.

While flinging on iPad, I was barely above average with 154k & an abysmal rank of 241. Lots and lots of times I’d tried the Walkthrough, I tried @fenikus video & at some point even had blue(s) travel pretty far to the right when shooting down & splitting very late like ABN, but I just wasn’t getting the destruction until this last time.

This time, the odd thing was that when shooting down at a steep angle just like Walkthrough, and splitting at the very last second I had 100k after the BB split. The destruction was almost exactly like after fenikus’ 1st shot as I had 100680. The only remaining marmosets were the 2 on the right & the cardboard box. The diagonal glass in front on the box in fenikus’ video was not in my way it had fallen left lying on top of the cabin. I shot OB a little lower than fenikus but thru cardboard box, inflated & finally smiled on this level when I saw the score over 143k. At last I have a great 163440, but the rank is only #22. A number of pieces of stone remained on the left, but only 1 small stone remained on the right along with the small white box. I don’t know if some debris fell into the water & I missed those points or whether these 165k & 166k got most of the stones on the left I still had remaining.

Used the video strategy. For now top score 166.780.
• After the first bird the left side and middle section were gone.
• Only the right side with the two marmosets was left.
• On the left side only 3 pieces of stone were left.
• Second bird to the right where it inflated on the left side of the stone.

I just scored 169,120 points by following the video of @fenikus . First bird over left side, into the posts holding up the center structure, including the lone metal post next to the stacked cardboard boxes. The entire center structure fell onto the left structure, leaving only 1 of the pots (vases?) & the flag pole laying on the deck. The wood crate & the concrete piece under it, next to the lower marmoset on the right side were also destroyed.
This left an open shot at the small concrete square under that marmoset. I actually missed hitting the concrete square directly, instead the OB hit the square & the 2 small ice pieces. As soon as it made contact, I set off the OB. This is where things got a little weird. Instead of just pushing everything either into the water, or skyward, the remaining 2 marmosets & everything around them blew up. The counter started doing its thing,and stopped on 149,120 points. With the 2 unused birds, this gave me my score.
