Angry Birds Rio Blossom River Walkthrough Level #10

Our strategy for Blossom River Level #10 is to break a plank in the bottom-left of the main structure with a Yellow bird and do the same on the right with a Boomerang bird. If the TNT in the middle of the level detonates due to falling debris, scores should be high! The score in the video below is 133,960.

You don’t need to break the left plank, just hit it and the whole thing will slide off.

Score optimization:

Target score after first bird is about 67k (mostly a matter of luck). Otherwise restart.

Second bird should hit the plank about where the wooden triangle is. This will: A. cause more damage to the plank, and B. make the structure topple faster to the left os that it hits the detonating TNT with more force and more destruction.

Easy and repeatable strategy. Aim yellow birdjust over the stane square where two stone planks meet. There is a small support of stone plank.Accelerate wellow bird to hit and destroy that small support. Once in every 3/4 hits the platform (or base) of the first structure moves down. This gives you over 70k. Second bird as suggested by f91jsw to the triangle. I am sure all scores will develop fast.

Instead of aiming for the stone support, I aimed for the vertical wooden support near the top of the left tower. Found this to be an easier target. Score really varies depending on how yellow bird lands in the opening. Even got a 1 birder this way, but that only resulted in 134.xxx. For a good score, you want the stones to stay close together then falling so they break the barrels and the jars under the water. Had over 72.000, then second bird as stated above through the triangle. It is possible to score higher as one time, had over 77,000 after first shot, but them flubbed the 2nd shot. Oh well, it’s bed time. Current score will have to do.

Aim high, accelerate immediately (moonshot) to hit the last section of the diagonal board on far right. This will sometimes get you a one-birder (my best 1-bird was 141k so far) or, alternatively, yields up to 50k with an easy reverse shot with #2 (best 2-bird 143k so far).

In case anyone can’t get the trajectory for the shot, aim nearly straight up so that YB’s bottom right corner is in the center of the wooden pole part of the sling. Trigger immediately after you let go.

Thanks @fenikus for video and @kelani for trajectory tip. Had tried this strat but hadn’t been able to hit target at all. Hit target almost immediately after reading/watching your posts but still couldn’t get left structure to collapse. Glad I persisted….. well, persisted and persisted….

thanks @parlonsQc for the strat and @Kelani and @fenikus for the aiming points and video respectively. It is so critical of when you activate to early =to close to late =to far.
It takes many flings and the 3 P’s for this and mine have run out lol..maybe another day:)

Thank you @parlonsqc, I love using the moonshot & had been trying it here without success. Came here & saw that it could work & kept trying, eventually scoring 152k after a lot of tries.
Really variable scores too from the 1-birder, most were in the 140-145k range.

Yeah….. haven’t managed to break 140K for the daily challenge. It may be time to pass on this level and move on to something more productive.

Thanks @parlonsqc for the moon shot strategy. Was able to get the one bird solution about 7 times out of many many attempts. Found that I zoomed in and lined up the yellow bird with the middle of the sling’s base more consistency in the results. The challenge was getting the left side to fall.

After hitting 143k with 2 birds, I was pretty sure that scores above 153k were possible. I did try to reach it for a couple of hours but gave up. I play on an iPhone (i’m probably one of the few, my bad) and for some levels, no matter how long i try, it seems impossible to reach the highest scores.

@parlonsqc, that about the Iphone I understand. In the early days I played Angry Birds on the Iphone as well. Until I discovered the advantages of an Ipad. Screen is larger, so you can pick your target much better. Last year, I had to travel one day each week for a long period by train. So I tried killing time on the Iphone – man, I was really happy when I got three stars. I stopped with that. The games are still on the Iphone but I will never play them again. So, I can advice you to look for an Ipad. Still a great strat, thanks again. Couldn’t believe my eyes.

Whiiiineeee whhiiiiinnnneeeee whiiinneeee!!! @kelani help me…please. Your last post indicates that you were having trouble getting your score of 152k. I’ve been using the moon shot. I’ve hit the plank close to the ground, close to the structure and everywhere in between. I’ve watched debris hit the front tower with force and even take out the back of it. But still it won’t fall! It wobbles so much that several times I thought for certain it was going over…but no. I think maybe those rotten marmosets learned from all you earlier flingers and found some better glue. Maybe a gyroscope too. Only one time did I manage to get the front tower to fall, but only came out with a measly 140k. Any advice? (I’ve already seen all the great trajectories and videos)

Yiiiipeeeee once again the magic of the whine comes through! I just improved my score by 6k! Thanks @kelani – for letting me vent and whine on your shoulder. Now I be happy. I may try to improve my score even more – at a later date. For now I’m tired of this level. I’m getting water logged.

@bird-addict lol. No problem. My shoulder’s always there, just put down a kleenex if you’re sniffly…or if I’m wearing something nice. ;)

I had so much trouble because this levels is what I call PC-cursed. That’s Kelspeak for levels that are more stable, or where average scores are lower for PC version. I eventually gave up and got my current score on ipad. Even there, it’s not easy. I can tell you this, though. If you can hit the moonshot and get the right side to explode. That’s all you need to worry about. I tested it and there is no magic 1-pixel-wide aiming spot on this one. All you can do is keep making that shot and occasionally getting low-scoring 1-birders. Eventually, the right side explodes and pushes the left side extra hard. The extra power actually surprised me. I think it’s just a random gift the game gives you when it’s ready.

If I had to do it again, I’d do the moonshot 50-100 times, then close Rio (also close it in the 4-finger swipe-up menu). Then, reopen Rio and play a different level. An hour later, try #10 50-100 more times then close Rio, etc. Why? In B.River, levels (2,5,6,10,12) get ‘stuck’ in a mode where a certain shot will repeatedly give an identical score (or one of several scores) every time until the game is closed. The trigger is repeating the level more than 50-100 times in a single session. Sounds crazy, I know, but it happens. So Fling, then close game, stretch, yawn, get a cold drink, then get back in yer boat :)

I agree @Kelani that this is a PC-cursed level. I’ve executed the moonshot numerous times through to the explosion of the middle TNT and not once have had the front tower topple over onto the raft.

Yellow Bird on a gentle angle to the lower left piece of wood on left platform. That yielded just shy of 69k. Green bird high arc, and bring back into the slanted plank. 139k

I am not coming anywhere near a 1-bird clear and it looks like that’s the only way to get above average.
