Angry Birds Rio Airfield Chase Walkthrough Level 1 (9-1)

Welcome to our first walkthrough for Airfield Chase! The best strategy for level 9-1 is to fire Big Brother head-on into a horizontal block of the main tower. Doing so will push the tower to the right and break most of the cages. If necessary, you have a few extra Big Brothers to help. The score in the video below is 98,920.

Its easier to knock down the tower to right to get a higher score.

101,970. Same first shot but got luck and took out the two cages behind the tower as well. Went higher on shot two to get the one in the tree and took out the apples in back as well.

Do you know when this level, Airfield Chase, will be available for pc? The last time there was an addition to the game it just showed up when I logged in to play.Thanks!

Sorry, not sure when Airfield Chase will land for PC. We know Rovio is making an active effort to decrease the delay for Mac and PC, so hopefully it will land within a few weeks.

I am having problems with the update. The download apparently worked and I played the first level (9-1). Now, everytime I try to open the second level (9-2), it says “loading” then bumps me out of the game entirely. Anyone else having this problem? FYI: I have a 3G-S iPhone.

Try running your device either in Airplane Mode or disable WiFi (or both). This has worked for most people.

104,980 with one shot. It hit the area under the the two stacked cages in the structure. I think you’d actually do better using two birds instead of one on this level. There was a lot left over to take out.

One bird but no apples destroyed. To get the apples, it requires a second bird. Even if you get the apples, it’s really hard to get higher than 100k.

I got 110k with 2 birds, hit first at the base of the tower and second one hitting any remaining cages and apples.

Kart, I think my big bro needs to go to the doc. for a shot of B12, or go to the gym….maybe a apple a day will help. Seriously, I’ve been doing what the video, you, and Kathy have, and this is the best I can do. What’s your real secret? ;)

I can’t seem to repeat the strat anymore with any score near my high, I guess luck was the main variable in my strat. :/

The second one tore through the trees and hit the apples, I think that shot is the actual key. Launch the bird at about 70-80 degrees, hitting the first of the tree’s leaves at the right and through the trunk of the others. The bird rolled downwards the slope and met the apples. Good luck! :)

I used one bird and aimed it right at the lowest horizontal stone plank. Some of the falling debris got the yellow caged bird in palm tree. I didn’t get the apples though.

Wow thank you!! I got 6000 more points by doing it your way!! For sure the secret is the lowest horizontal plank, didn’t get the apples, but got a great score!

This is a constant 1-Birder, just aim Big Brother slightly below the tower’s waist. The score was pretty good.

2-birder
first bird hit the lower horizontal stone plank at the bottom edge, tower fall to the left.
second a little bit higher, bird cut the small palm tree, then the other palm tree, bird roll
to the right and hit all apples.

Thanks for the video @comex666. This was and interesting level because I couldn’t break 100k with the two shots in the video even getting all the apples on the right side. I used one bird solution breaking the lowest horizontal stone plank.

I just scored 117,480 points by basically following the video.
The first bird was sent slightly lower than in the video, just under the lower horizontal stone plank, at the thick, upright, vertical stone. It went through the wood upright,the birdcage,and the second wood upright. The tower then fell down & to the left, onto the small palm tree. Nearly everything to the left of the palm tree with the birdcage on it was destroyed.
I have a screenshot showing the trajectory of the second shot. It was slightly higher than in the video. The picture was taken while the points were still rising. All of the apples & the far right palm tree were destroyed.
There was one bird left unused. When the counter stopped, it read 107,480 points. The unused bird gave me my new high score and another puppy.
